I fought it for a while. but in the end, I HAD to open the thread and see who wrote it. And once sucked in, I had to read the rest of course. Curiousity got the best of me and I needed to see which doom and gloomer wrote this. I did think it was going to be someone else though, like billsfreak or billsvet, or the bill fron nyc. At least dollarcoin is gone and we didnt have to listen to his crap. This gets very old by the way. Why anyone would lose sleep over the bills O-line is beyond me. Nope. None of them sound like me at all. except for maybe getting rid of peters. He was a greedy, unappreciative player that hurt his team by his actions and got everything he deserved(being traded) and though I don't like that they stuck someone in his spot that shouldn't have been there, and eventually bell, i completely agree getting rid of peters was the right thing to do. There it is again. The "negative" people need to be restricted. I can handle negative posts, it's just the people that NEVER have anything good to say that irritate me. I feel, IF Gaither isn't lazy and IF he isn't unmotivated, and IF he won't break the bank, he would be well worth a second round pic. With that being said, that's a lot of ifs. OH COME ON MAN, are you seriously comparing spiller to Mckelvin? This offense sucked and we need to score points. This man is going to help us tremendously. He can do it all and is a homerun threat everytime he touches the ball. Spiller is a SPECIAL player and not many of those come along very often. I am GLAD we got him. There are a lot of us here that like this pic. you keep harping on the same things. Its getting old. Assuming one of our qbs(cough cough brohm) doesn't come through, and i really hope he does, if we pic at say, 15 next year, if there is a qb they really want and have to move up, it isn't out of the realm of possibility. aka jets/sanchez. I disagree nix isn't trying to win this year. He might not be trying to win the superbowl this year, which is logical/understandable, but he has made plenty of moves to put us on the right track to be respectable again. It just can't be done in one year. There will be a few missing pieces this year. its just the way it is. I don't think you play to lose at all. the better we look, the better chance of some higher quality free agents will come our way.

Honestly, with ALL the injuries last year and still getting freddie 1,000 yards, plus having an experienced oc , add in spiller and whoever ends up at left tackle(we still don't know-it could be Gaither),It seems rather unlikely to me that there won't be an improvement to the o-line. Without all the injuries, imo, this isn't too bad of a line. And as they play more, the better they will get. Betcha we have two 1,000 rushers next year. Nicest put down I have ever heard!

Although I don't know if we'll make it to the playoffs(sure would be cool tho), but I do share in your optimism that we will be a better team. YOU DO REALIZE though, that every negative fan is now going to come out of the woodwork to answer here, don't you? well said maybe he exaggerated a little about no one being able to run against us. but it IS looking like we will be much better against the run. and as for no olb, our new coaching staff thinks maybin will be a fit on the outside. fewell is gone and i could care less what he thinks now. But we also signed Andra davis,drafted Battan and got some undrafted players, and Schobel if he doesnt retire. AND, what a lot of you guys seem to forget, is the roster is not set yet. wait till camp opens and then we'll have a better idea what we are missing.

How do you know they stuck with his game plan? I never heard that. maybe keeping schonert would have helped a little bit. I didnt have too many problems with avp as compared to schonert. its the head coach who sucked the most. we still werent going anywhere with jauron. you saw how much better they played for perry. I'm expecting a bit more from gailey. how can u compare jake long who was the best rated tackle with who the bills could have selected at 9 this year? its not the same thing. because Spiller is WAY better than ginn. they obviously didnt want to trade down or werent offered enough to make that trade. They wanted a difference maker and someone that could score some points and make us exciting again. whats wrong with that? I, for one, will be a lot happier if we are at least fun to watch. And so what if the OWNER IS meddling? its his friggin team. he pays the bills, literally. I see nothing wrong with putting fannies in the seats. or with making us a more exciting team. I agree with the we know what we got in fitz part, but I think he is a decent back-up. He's not a long term answer but he can win games off the bench if the starter gets hurt and thats what a back up is for,imo. But I disagree with the start edwards part. I say stick with the competion thing and the best qb will emerge.will it be trent? maybe. you all know I like brohm and want him to win because i think he has the most upside. but Edwards has shown enough at times I don't doubt he could emerge. I do believe nix/gaily will be true to what they say and let it be an open competition. may the best man win. and WHOEVER it is, I'm going to back him Trent may have the most experience, but it is purely your opinion that he has more talent and ability. and one I don't share with you. I don't think it will be shocking OR unexpected if brohm emerges. In fact I assume and expect it to happen. He only had one game to show us his potential and I for one, liked what I saw.Is it a lot to go on? no. but for all we have seen of the other guys, could you tell this guy was making his first start on a crappy team? or tell a difference from the other guys? all with being thrown in the fire.
