Well we can just skip to the we suck part now. I know that. But I do believe we will continue to get better. and by seasons end I think we'll have a much better team and won't be the laughingstock of the nfl anymore.

If he can show show considerable improvement this week hopefully he'll be given a little more work the rest of the pre-season to have a chance to take the job over. One can only hope he makes the most of whatever reps he gets.

Nice rebuttal dawg. I don't have the time to get into it with you and I wish i did. But I saw the atlanta game in a whole different light than you. Whether you want to admit it, being with the team for a few weeks DOES have something to do with it. The line was in shambles that game and Brohm held his own for being thrown in the fire. He's had ONE friggin game to show us something. that is NOT ENOUGH TIME. All we are saying is give him more work cuz we dont care for the other two. How can you honestly say this when we've seen plenty of fitz and edwards but almost nothing of Brohm? you've got little to base that on. we're screwed with the other 2. At least with brohm, he would have a chance at getting better. I think these other guys have reached their ceiling.

I think he is saying that we have so many good running backs that losing freddie for a little while is no big deal. but don't ask me how I came to this conclusion.

I'm with you. I was dissapointed in not seeing Brohm tonight. Edwards just doesn't have it anymore, if he ever did. Fitz is better but that is not saying too much. I'd rather live or die with Brohm at the helm this year and see what he has. Its fairly obvious the others don't have it. side note: haven't seen one comment from darth yet. that should be interesting.

there are so many other things that go into a touchdown than just the qb so I don't know if thats really a fair way to judge good qb play. Like it was just said, what if the receiver drops the ball but the ball was on the money? What if an o-lineman misses a block and the qb has to scramble but makes a good throw anyway or throws it out of bounds instead of getting sacked? what if the throw was where it was supposed to be but the receiver didn't run the right route? I understand what you're saying, but with limited snaps I just don't agree with evaluating your qb's on points scored alone. For the record, what I'm looking for is basically what trent said. Don't turn the ball over, no stupid mistakes, understand the play calling and routes. And I'd add confidence and command in the huddle and good pocket awareness/ mobility. And I am sure there is more, but its time to head to the dark star orchestra concert here in rochester! (for those that don't know and even care, its an awesome greatfull dead cover band)

It's way too early to be calling maybin a bust in my opinion. The kid is young. There's no doubt the Bills shouldn't have picked him when they did, or even at all. In fact, thats the only thing I think I can recall that this board doesn't disagree on. But I say give him one more full year of playing and learning and we should have a good idea by then.

You know, you are spot on with this assessment. I'm going to have to pay particular attention to washington now this season and see how we compare at the end of the year. I would still love to have mcnabb and their LT, but Gailey just keeps growing on me and I never really cared for shanahan so I think in the long run we ended up with the better coach. It'll be interesting to see how we fare. As for this first pre-season game, I'm looking for the mistakes to be at a minimum and to see a start of an identity being built. They're gonna need ALL these games to get ready for the season with all the new changes, especially with some of the starters out. Not expecting too much this game, but like first an 10 said, we'll know more game 3.

man, I really enjoy hearing this guy talk. He says the right things and knows what he wants and where he wants to go. What a refreshing change from what we've had in the past. I think we finally got ourselves a head coach gentlemen.

This has been debated here to no end, and in my eyes, proven wrong. You are obviosly here just to stir up crap, so go back to the rock you crawled out from. This is a new team with new players,coaches,gm, and a new attitude. Last year was last year. This is a NEW year. can't even compare the two. And from observing Chan so far, can you honestly say he doesn't seem better than all those other coaches? It's a night and day difference to me. I think we finally got it right. The odds are in my favor that we finally got it right.
