I think the turnaround happened at the baltimore game. We hit bottom and now are on our way up. I am usually a positive glass half full guy,and some of you may be asking what I am smoking(all I can say is it is very good) but I say we take the steelers tomorrow and get the respect we deserve. It would be nice for a change to have a little buzz around the nfl talking about our Bills. I guess we'll know about 4 pm tomorrow.

I just read an article today that Bell hasn't given up a sack this year. That's a big inprovement from last year. And it seems he is continually getting better. The Pitt game WILL tell us more about just how far he has come. But to say that left tackle is the bills biggest need I just don't believe this to be true. We have the worst run D in the nfl. Something must be done about this. I think we need a stud lb or de or tackle. but I see the Bills taking BPA other than a running back.(I know, I know- a lot of you are saying they've been that stupid before but as far as I am concerned, Spiller was a need pic) So, it will be curious to see what they actually do this year. I personally don't care what position we draft in the first round other than wr and rb. We just need a stud at wherever we pic.

thoner, just stop. I can remember you flippin out on draft day. and you're still not over it. You're one of the top 5 bitchers on this board. He was clearly the BPA when we picked. He's a special talent. he may not be producing where he should be just yet, but he'll get there. you're right about Suh though being the better athelete, thats why he went #2. And WHY cant athletic ability be compared between positions? that doesn't make any sense.

I guess it wouldn't be TSW without "one" person out there to start this thread. There's always one. Really man, aren't we doing ok at quaterback right now? Is it not possible for you to say a positive about the bills without a negative thrown in? Gailey gets rid of Trent(good thing) but he waited 2 games to do it. Big deal. At least he got it right. Give the man credit where credit is do. You don't know that. A good majority of us (me included) thought we knew what we had in Fitz. Boy were we wrong. Maybe Brohm will light it up too. And the poster just said for a game. And it makes sense for the team to know if we're set at qb so we know what to do in the draft. But like someone already said, he won't get a chance unless Fitz gets hurt.

Not sure what everything you said meant, but I must agree, where would we all be without Billsvets' superior football knowledge and intelligence. We're not worthy. well said and i concur wholeheartedly. like winning 10 games and going to the playoffs is going to shut you up. Not a chance in hell you stop complaining cuz that's just who you are. If you think any of us are happy winning 4-8 games and that you are the only one that wants excellence then you're blind AND negative. Just because you "demand excellence" doesn't change a thing. and it doesn't make you a better or more knowledgable fan than the rest of us. you're just a complainer and you always will be and I just can't stand reading a damn thing you have to say. (yes, i know you are. incredulous) you lost any credibility you may have had(though I have never seen you post before though it looks like you've been a member for awhile) when you said stevie drops a lot of balls. That's the most false statement I have seen in a long time. He rarely drops a ball in a game. He may not be a blazer speed wise but to say he doesn't have great athleticism or great anything is, is....I am at a loss for words. i'll go with asinine. Do you see the way he jukes people and then goes on to score a touchdown? That's not athletic? You are certainly allowed your opinion, but stevie is playing at a probowl level right now, and personally my opinion is that your opinion SUCKS. leave it to some Bills fans to not be happy about the best thing that happened to the bills in awhile. I'd bet you probably think kyle williams is too small to play nose tackle too

You don't think after losing the first 8 games, if they come on and win 6 or 7 of the final 8 games that that wouldn't help them develop a winning attitude? I do and I think it would give them some confidence and something to build on going into next year. Your use of dick jauron as an example doesn't hold any water. ugh, I cant even stand to write his name. But I'm with you. We DO need better players. You're not alone Bills Brother. I personally would like to win out. It won't happen but I can't see a huge difference picking 1st or second from 5th, 6th or 7th. I suppose if there was a Bruce Smith in this draft maybe i'd change my tune, but is there? I'd rather start that winning attitude now. It's threads like these that just piss me off and take away from the enjoyment of TSW. Untill any of you that hate Modrak have any proof of what his recommendations actually were and who actually has made the final decision on who was picked, just please stfu. There's been plenty of good later round finds which leads me to believe the scouts know what they are doing. I am also of the belief that the coaches and gm's(levy) have a BIG say in who is picked early. But I don't know this. Just as you certainly don't know Modrak made the pic. It's been debated here many times and is not fun anymore to read this crap. Just stop.

Are you a glutton for punishment? You do know, as Albany's response will confirm, that you're going to get blasted for this post. You got bigger balls than me that's for sure. But I am with you on this. I am pleasantly surprised and happy that Fitz is playing well. He does seem to have the "it" factor and he's very smart reading d's and all and knowing where to go with the ball. And he even looks off recievers! Something Edwards was never able to do or figure out. However, Fitz does seem to make just enough boneheaded interceptions and bad passes to make me wonder if he just doesn't have enough physical talent to be that elite qb we are all looking for. Now with this all being said, Fitz is playing good enough and has the players behind him, there is no way they can yank him just to see what Brohm has. That wouldn't be fair to him and the team. But there are 8 games left and I can see Fitz getting knocked out at some point and then brohm will get his chance. It almost happened last week. I have to say though to Albany and people like him, why in the hell do you have to be so freakin negative about a player on our team that could be good? I am so sick of the he didnt beat out edwards crap. neither did Fitz. Sometimes you just need your shot when it matters most (in live games) to shine. Will brohm? maybe. but you don't know as well as us Brohm wishers don't know. Its in the teams best interest for the light to come on for Brohm. And even if he doesn't look awesome when he gets to play, we do need to find out if he is a good backup. And we need to find this out in a real game setting with all the starters playing with him, not in practice or preseason. SO, for those of us that want to see what Brohm has, we're just going to have to wait till Fitz gets nicked up or untill near the end of the season when we havent won many games and the coaching staffs comes to the same conclusion we have. Gotta see what he has in live games.

YES, this week. I can see us winning our first game, at home, in Toronto.

I'm not sure if this is a GOOD omen because the bison escaped the bear alive. Or if it's a BAD omen because they had to put it out of it's misery? Well, seeing how I am a glass half full sort of guy I say it's a good omen and we beat the bears this week and finally get the monkey off our back. If we lose, can someone put me out of my misery?!

Like RJ said, you don't hate to be a downer. It's seems you and a handfull of others (you know who you are), revel in it. So, in your first paragraph you say a good game will be followed by a bad game. And if that happens that that is reality and our offense sucks still. So my question to you is; if Buffalo plays great offensively and maybe even win the game, will you still be negative and think it's a fluke? How many games of playing well and scoring points does it require to finally make is safe to say they have a good offense? I realize you don't want to be let down. But just like Gailey has to turn the losing culture with the team, he has to do it with the fans. The more you negative guys stay in the past you're just not going to have much fun. And you just might miss out on the enjoyment of seeing this team turn the corner and head on back up. May have already. I'm thinking Gailey having been there one season as oc isn't going to help us all that much. They've got new people and a new oc in Weise I think, so maybe he'll know some of the players tendencies and a little of the d, but not enough to make a real difference in the game. But I do agree, should be an exciting game. Give it up mpl. sad, isn't it. lol
