The defense needs to learn to tackle on the first hit. They also need to stop this "bend but don't break crap". They are giving up way too much yardage in the middle, and when they blitz, Brees is going to eat them alive with screens and over the middle dump passes, just as Leftwich did yesterday with the TD. McGee is playing great, and is locking them down. So is Corner, but they rest are playing them so far off, that 6+ yards per pass is going to burn us eventually. Wish I could have seen the halftime awards, but Fox and their mouthpieces wouldn't even cut to the ceremonies.

How does Perry Fewell escape criticism?
Phil Hansen Forever replied to jahbonas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I couldn't agree more. And what were the purposes of the those blitzes that Brady saw coming and blew us away? We hardly had any pressure on him, and each time we blitzed, we got screwed. Playing 15 yards off the receivers is nuts. And who taught our team to tackle? There were so many missed tackles and they seemed to be covered with grease, cause our guys couldn't hold on. I don't blame McKelvin, I blame the coaches for not telling him to take a knee. The Bills find more ways to lose, than any team in the NFL. You were correct, Fewell blew it with the Cowboys and again with the Pats. We should never have given up the 3-4, or gotten rid of Teddy Cottrell. Back then, the Bills were one of the few teams running it, now we are one of the few teams stuck in the 4-3. Dump DJ and PF now, before we trade places with Detroit for being the laughing stock of the NFL. -
Until this year, I gave DJ the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps he was right, our team needed new blood and we drafted nicely this year. But after watching the horrible display in Pittsburg, I can't take it any longer. You are right, he has no PASSION. He appears dead from neck up and as one announcer mentioned during the Packer's game, "why is he clapping when TE is intercepted?" I thought the same thing. He claps when we screw up, as if he is playing the devils advocate. I paid in advance for NFL Direct Ticket, and now I want out, but you can't take the money back, after the lion swallowed it. This is going to a very painful year, reminescent of the 2-14 years back in the 80's. The team has no heart, they don't care of it they suck, and it shows. Heck, even special teams aren't so special this year and BA doesn't look as enthused as he has been in past years. Back to the basement of the NFL. It will be a toss up between the Lions, Raiders and Bills on who gets the #1 pick next year. At least we pack our stands with fans....

I know, he's no longer a Bill but don't read it

Jimmy Leonard reminds me of Mark Kelso without the padded helmet. Both were undersized, but played with intensity and didn't mind placing a good lick on the opponent. Good for Jimmy. If you haven't ever visited Tony, WI it's a pretty cool little town and yes they do have a banner across the main street bragging about him. -
I was wondering the same thing. Is it really TE's fault, or is the coaches limiting his play calling? If it is the latter, then TE is just doing what he is told to do, and therefore becomes the dutiful and obedient servant to the utter disgrace of the team. If it is TE's fault, then at least come clean and own up to it. He looked horrible; literally scared to death. He is way past the dear in the headlight look of Porcelain Rob. This kid is scared to come out and play.

Marty would never win the big game, but he sure as hell would get us into the playoffs, which none of the previous three coaches have been able to do. I'll take Marty any day!

OMG, another old fart! I'll have to ask the better half for permission to buy it, but I do remember rockin at the rockpile. Thanks for the info. -
I can understand dropping and fumbling a kickoff/punt once per season, but two games in a row? This kid is bush league and should join JP in Vegas. He is horrible.

Ralph Wilson Stadium
Phil Hansen Forever replied to jax bill backer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You think the Ralph is bad, try the Hubert H. Humprey Metrodome. The stadium does have bigger horse troughs in their rest rooms, but it's smaller over all, and the atmospheric pressure changes so abruptly, that you can feel your ears pop. Nothing like the Ralph, where you can't feel your ears at all past November. And for real Dumps, think Lambeau and Soldier Field. -
I agree with you. Giving TO the key to city is nonsense, and makes Buffalo a bigger joke to the world than it already is. Perhaps giving him the key to his cell would be a better use of the gift. One year in Buffalo, and he gets the key, Unbelievable!

Bills Haters In The Media

You are way too old if you remember that line. -
That makes two of us, what he lacked in height, he made up with in heart and brains.

Great idea! I love that guy, and who doesn't need to think with their dipstick.

You poor dumb bastard, at least you smart enough to attend Lackland in April, not July (like I did in '76). Congratulations, you have now entered the world of the morally corrupt, over worked and totally underpaid. But you get 30 days paid vacation in winter, cause nobody lets you really take the leave during the good seasons, and you get your ass abused at every opportunity. Welcome to the Chair Force. At least you weren't stupid enough to join the other services. Air Conditioning is an essential component of military life! Retired in 94, dumb enough to stick around for the BIG PAYCHECK, NOT!
