  1. I remember that the comeback game vs the Oilers was blacked out, and I was really pissed. It is hard to believe considering it was a playoff game, but I had to listen to it on the radio =[.
  2. Wasted at DE in *any* system. It has been so obvious from day 1 that the guy was going to play OLB. Not sure why that was so hard for some to realize.
  3. Even while the majority of this board have complained about Maybin's size and stature at defensive end, I have always assumed and thought it was obvious that he was going to play OLB. Amen.
  4. I have dreamed and prayed that Favre would join the Bills for years and years.
  5. And I'm tired of you doing nothing but wasting your time and mine typing pointless neanderthalian comments on this board but you don't see me calling you a self entitled douchebag with no life and less brain, do you?
  6. What is with all the Favre hatred? Why do *you* give a sh-- whether he retires or not? Does it affect you in any way? Can you not just turn off your television set or change the channel if you don't want to hear about it? Why should the man not be allowed to change his mind and/or play football until he dies if that is his wish? He is still better than quite a few QBs who start in the NFL today, so what makes you think that you should post your BS opinion on a Buffalo Bills forum? Seriously, I don't think Favre, the Vikings, or anyone in the NFL gives two sh*ts what any of us think, so why even waste your time complaining about it? Sometimes I am ashamed to admit that I share a favorite team with many of you. Hopefully a blizzard will bury you alive this winter. No I'm just joking, but not really.
  7. WEO I have yet to read a comment of yours that didn't make me cringe. Every word you post on this forum is dripping with stupidity, and to be honest, utter BS. So spare us your remedial commentary and get back to whatever it is you do to occupy your time between your meaningless and nonsensical forum posts. No seriously, I liked the fact that Bruschi had heart. But that is no reason for the world to pretend like he is some super all pro linebacker than can carry a defense. He has been mediocre at best throughout his career. If he had played for the Bills, all the "knowledgeable" fans on this forum would have demanded he be released or traded, but because he played for the almighty Patriots you want to act like he was Dick Butkis or something. Get real.
  8. It wasn't. Judging by the biased way you have posted in this thread, I'm going to go out on a limb and say you made it up.
  9. This is one of the the worst threads I've seen since joining this board. Congratulations.
  10. How about "The Lookout Gang?" Or "The Porous Posse?"
  11. You are naive if you think I'm comparing DJ to BB in terms of coaching ability. The point I'm trying to make is that it doesn't matter how good of a coach you might be, as even the mighty BB couldn't do any better than what DJ has done when he coached a team that had a comparable level of talent as the Bills of the past several seasons. You are so ingrained in your own perspective that you utterly lack any ability to consider a contrary point of a view, which destroys any credibility you might have had by default. That's all I'm saying here. I say DJ isn't as bad as you people try to make him seem, and here's my supporting evidence. And you interpret my words as me stating he is as good a coach as BB. You position utterly lacks any foundation in reality, and you're inability to accept my straightforward logic for what it is proves that. Now, if you could provide any objective supporting evidence against my arguments, I could consider your opinion reasonable and still disagree. However, it is more than apparent that your position is not reasonable, and you are just another Abigail Williams. I shall explain that allusion if necessary, which I expect it is.
  12. Injured does not = awful. Here is your list. It took me < 5 mins to compile. Joe Flacco Trent Edwards Carson Palmer Derrick Anderson Kyle Orton Jake Delhomme Daunte Culpepper/Matthew Stafford David Gerrard Chad Pennington Damon Huard Matt Hasselbeck Mark Bulger Jason Campbell Byron Leftwhich Jamarcus Russel Matt Cassel Kellen Clemens/Mark Sanchez Arguably: Matt Ryan Kerry Collins Ben Roethlisburger Oh looky there, that is more than half, and not even including my "arguable" list. It would have been much faster to state which QBs than which Favre is not better.
  13. Because Peyton Manning is the only QB since Jim Kelly who has been able to run it at all effectively. It is hard to make the argument that it kills its own defender, as then the Bills would not have made the SB behind a stellar defense. No matter what it does to your defenders, it hurts the other team's defenders much worse, because not only are they more exhausted, they don't have time to set up their defense. It would be pretty absurd to question the effectiveness of a competent no-huddle offense, as the only team in HISTORY to ever go to four consecutive SBs ran it all the while. That post deserves to be ridiculed. It *has* been a while, but unlike yourself I'm guessing, I was actually alive when the Bills played their SBs, and I remember that it was turnovers that doomed the Bills in their last three SBs, not the no huddle. In the first SB, the Giants were all but defeated by the same offense, except for the FG that never should have missed.
  14. I accept valid responses. You show me one and I will accept it. Second guessing from fans with as little or less knowledge of football as myself does not constitute a valid response. Simply put, there is no valid response and that is my point. You idiots are witch hunting because you cannot accept that the Bills just aren't good, and that is also my point. There IS NO VALID RESPONSE, because every one of your arguments are hind-sighted speculation and opinion. There is no valid response because you have no valid opinion. I cannot put it any simpler than that. The Bills were a 7-9 team last year. Not 9-7 team that botched wins. When your kicker misses a 47 yard game winner, the team loses. Not the coach or the kicker, but the team. But my god, when you have a 47 yard kick (every NFL kicker is expected to make those BTW) and you lose because of that, but want to use that as justification for calling for the coach's job, you are witch hunting. What amazes me is how many of you honestly seem to believe you know more about football than DJ. I mean seriously you cannot even offer a lucid argument against the likes of me, a random forum poster, but you think your opinion regarding the Bills head coaching position is in any way valid? That is down right delirious. I also love how you assume that DJ has all the people he wants on the roster. "Uh yea Ralph...there is nobody in the league I'd rather have playing LT than Langston with my job on the line. Wow we really have all the tools now! Down, set, w00t!" I guess we should have been blaming Marv all along for being a sh------- coach after Norwood missed that 37 yarder.
  15. So your entire argument is based on insulting me without providing a shred of supporting evidence, which is about what I expect from the likes of you. Ahem. Bill "he is so great and DJ sucks" Belichick, as I pointed out before, amassed a super-impressive 36-44 record in five years with the talentless Browns, which is about exactly on pace with what DJ has done in Buffalo since he arrived. So why don't you refute that statement rather than sling insults because you are too feeble-minded to add a coherent and lucid dynamic to this conversation.
  16. LOL WOW. Dumbest. Post. Ever. For one thing, does the reporting about Favre when there is absolutely nothing else to report really cause that much grief? Is it so hard to flip the damn channel? Really? Is it so bad that you feel justified in passing judgment against the guy? If that is the case, I recommend you seek immediate psychiatric attention. Secondly, Brett Favre could assassinate Obama and still be a no miss, in the bag, first ballot hall of famer. You are too stupid for words. @Lori- You beat me to the punch =[. I wanted to be the first to debunk that ludicrous sentiment so that I could add in the barrage of insults that he deserves but that you are too classy to supply. (Being classy isn't so much of an issue for me ) I also wanted to add that depending on the criteria, you could legitimately argue that no other QB has been more valuable to a franchise than Brett. Just look at where the Packers were when he arrived and where they are now (which clearly is better off than pre-Favre but just as clearly a long way from where they were during Favre's prime.)
  17. I didn't suggest the Vikes would win the SB or go undefeated. I simply stated that it makes them the undisputed favorites in the NFC. To deny that would be silly. IMO only the Falcons could make a legitimate claim against that, but when you compare the Falcons defense to the Vikes, I think the Vikings, on paper, have a clear advantage. Some people would argue that the Falcons won't be bad on defense, but I'd rather have the Vikings D than the Falcons D any day. It is obvious that speculation carries no value, and really you wasted your time and mine pointing that out. The fact is that on paper the Vikings just look really good right now. And Brett Favre is the man, regardless of what fat middle-aged blue collar Buffalo Bills fans think about him.
  18. You must be easily impressed. It seemed to me that Carter was personally offended by the move, but even he couldn't deny that the Vikings are clearly a better team now. So is he mad because one of his buddies got his feelings hurt or what? I don't understand the tirade there, because how can you blame a team for seeking such a clear and obvious upgrade at the most critical of all positions? How can you blame a team for an acquisition that instantly takes them from mere afterthought to front-runner and team to beat? I'm not sure when so many people started thinking Brett isn't good, but the Vikings are now the scariest team the NFC has seen for a good while, and it seems to me like Chris Carter should be pleased by that. But yea let's put stock in what he has to say, when he is clearly biased, as he cannot even deny that Brett is far superior to any other option they had at QB. Of all people, I would expect a hall of famer to understand the business nature of the NFL and to not take it personally, especially when he is no longer even affiliated with the team or its players anyway.
  19. You can win without a superstar QB only when you have a bone-crushing defense. Look at the list again and see that it is true. That being said, with the addition of Favre, as per basically every analyst on the face of the Earth, the Vikings are the undisputed team to beat in the NFC heading into the season. It is hard for ignorant Bills fans on a forum full of ignorant Bills fans to find any credibility in regards to Favre not being a great QB who makes his teams MUCH better.
  20. How would going 11-5 get you into the playoffs? Didn't you do that in 08?
  21. I expect football players to win football games, not the coaches. I expect the best 6 teams in each conference to make the playoffs, and the other 10 teams in each conference to watch them on TV. I expect the team whose place kicker makes the game winning attempt (i.e. the Browns last year) to defeat the team whose place kicker misses the game winning attempt (i.e the Bills). Do you expect money to rain from the sky as well sir? Hope and expectation are very very different, but clearly you have no grasp of that.
  22. MNF Bills vs Browns 2008 4 turnovers total 3 1st quarter interceptions 1 missed 48yd field goal Only 2 Bills caught a pass the entire game, with Marshawn Lynch accounting for over half of the receiving yards. "Yeah, you have to make it. It's ridiculous. I missed my line. You have to make those." - Ryan Lindell, of the game losing missed FG. And you want to blame the coaches? I wish that you were being paid for your opinions so that we could fire your incompetent asses. And it isn't limited to just this game. It is the same old story. Team doesn't win - blame coach. Why is it so hard for fans to just accept the fact when their team simply IS NOT GOOD? Does everyone remember when Belichick coached the Browns? Where was his superior football genius back then? It was riding the pine, unnoticed amongst the throng of sub-average players. From 1991-1995 the Browns under BB were 36-44. Ironically, if you extrapolate one more 7-9 Bills season over a similar five year span, you end up with almost identical records of 35-45. But yea, blame the coaches, since every ounce of logic and reason, not to mention empirical evidence, suggests that good coaching can compensate for bad playing.
