I was all ready to switch to DTV. I turned in my cable boxes and everything. TWC called me and offered me a great deal, I really couldn't refuse. Now I have roadrunner, and a very good cable package with DVR for $72/mo. Hell, roadrunner alone was like $50, and I was paying north of $150 before. So I am back to TWC and hoping they work this thing out. I was able to substantially lower my cable rates. Return your boxes to TWC, wait for Retention Services to call (for me it was within 24 hrs), then see what they can offer you.

I like the idea that Buffalo is beginning to be an attractive destination for quality players with some experience. The "Siberia" moniker may be fading away as we get more wins.

One of Chan's quotes I liked came from his first presser after being named head coach. "I believe in toughness and discipline." For a while bb.com was playing it on the intro to their practice videos, etc. When he was hired, I had a vague recollection of him as HC in Dallas. Aside from that, I was disappointed we did not get Shanny, Billick, or Chucky. Tim Graham wrote an article about him referring to him as a "solid hire." Tim encouraged Bills fans to be patient, and watch to see what happened. Aside from keeping Trench Edwards for a few games last season, Chan seems to do good things. I like the fact that once he changed his mind on Edwards, he did not just bench him, he released him. No need to be reminded of a bad decision every day.

Perhaps giving Buffalo credit would mean a lot of media personalities would need to shovel some crow into their mouth. Keyshawn seems to like the Bills though. Perhaps Boomer is wearing off on him a bit.

Last night's, today's, and possibly tonight's coverage of this game is about the Eagles meltdown, rather than the Bills' success. G. Wilson alluded to that in his post game comments (below, quoted from SI.com). "We have talent, too. We don't back down from any challenge," Wilson said. "If we do our job, we're going to be a tough football club to beat regardless of who we're playing." I will be curious to see how it plays out in the press this week... Bills D line was being held w/o calls for two weeks in a row now. I don't expect holding to be called against the patriots (although I think they got pegged twice in that game). But the non-calls against the Bengals were very, very obvious.

I wonder if she will burn crosses at the halftime show like she did in the "Like a Prayer" video. Or maybe if she will wear the cone bra.
