  1. Thanks Gr8P, I will make sure to cite your support when they all come in. BTW,

what does your handle mean? Some kind of great ape? I likes it, you should have

mighty joe or something as your avatar.

    Just a nick name

Great Parking doenst fit on a licesne plate

  2. I think he may have been a hs school QB.

As for Mularkey, I don't know if I'd call him an idiot at all. He led us to our last winning season and worked wonders with Kordell Stewart, Tommy Maddox, and now Matt Ryan. He is a great offensive coach. In fact, the only 2 guys who struggled with were Joey Harrington and Losman. I wonder why.

    From his site...

"Was perhaps the most explosive running and passing quarterback in Florida during the 2000 season, passing for 2,201 yards and rushing for 613 yards, earning a first-team Class 6A All-State selection in 2000...During his junior season of 1999, he passed for 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns with just five interceptions while completing 78 of 136 passes...Also rushed 60 times for 600 yards and six touchdowns and had 10 tackles during the 1999 season..."

  3. Ok, maybe I'm getting old and my memory is starting to fail me... but I seem to see things differently than most of you. I thought our O-Line was really coming together nicely last year in pre-season. Walker looked GOOD at LT. Then, Peters ended his holdout, esentially destroying any cohesiveness we established in the pre-season. I know some will say, "Yeah, that was pre-season." But, I personally think a lot of people are going to be pleasantly surprised at how well Walker holds down the LT position this year. He won't be a stud, but he is going to be a servicable LT.

    Shovel

I agree with you.. Also I think the interior linemen may be more important than the LT. We face A LOT of 3-4 in this leauge and we have always allowed the NT to control our running game and get pressure up the middle on passing downs. I recall people saying Dockery was a Road Grader and would burry people.. I saw this rarely. Hopefully with the focuss on the trenches we will be able to give Trent 3-5 seconds to let the ball fly.....

  4. Here goes:

    @NE....Win (we shock em)

    TB...... Win

    NO......Win

@Miami....Loss (close, we lose in ot, after obtaining big heads in the previous three weeks)

Cleve......Win (our heads are much smaller this week)

    @NYJ......Win (5-1, again)

@Carolina..Loss (uh oh, here we go again.......)

    not this time!

    Houston....Win

    @Titans....Win

    @Jaguars...Loss (we were due)

    Miami......Win (we remember week 4)

NYJ......Win (team is on all cylinders now)

@KC...Loss (ok, we stumble a bit)

    NE...Loss ( " " " " " ")

    Atl..Win

Indy..Win (we get this one to get in)

Finishish 11-5 Still only good enough for a wild card, as NE takes the division @ 12-4,

Miami will be, are you ready? 7-9

and The Jets bring up the pack finishing at 5-11

Bills will win the Wild Card Playoff, win a Divisional Playoff game, and lose in the Championship

on the road. to you guessed it, NE, who will then go on to lose the SB to Philly.

    You heard it hear first.

I am not sure about the Saints But I lke your picks! We will go to the playoffs...!!

  5. The BIG Reason we beat them that day, was due to the PASS RUSH. We had Brady on his ass on the RWS turf for 3 hours and that was good enough for us to win.

I also think it was the first game for TKO as a Bills player.

Exactly!! That how the G-men made the perfet season!!! They constantly knocked him on his ass. How many pretty biys do you know that like to get pushed around. They need to get pressure on Brady and make him "rush". That will cause poor decesions.

  6. The coaching staff asked Schobel to loose the weight as they employed the Tampa 2. Remember when everyone started loosing weight on the defense? Well Schobel has never been the same. I think there is a direct correlation between his weight and his effectiveness.

But to me here is the real issue. Even when Schobel was at his best, he was never really an impact player. He never changed the game, or changed the way an offense played. He put up decent numbers a couple years in sacks and tackles, and one great year in sacks but not tackles. But was never really a guy that made everyone else around him better, or could carry a defense for a game. And to me that is all I expect out of a player getting payed to be one of the best in the league. Not to have years where you dominate, but have games where you impact the way that game was played.

He is a slightly above average player at his best, a decent player when he's not, and a question mark when dealing with an injury.

Schobel never had any help on the line either. His best year was with Spikes and Fletcher behind him Stroud was sappose to be the added help. I believed we were in good shape after Seattle last year then it was clear the Seahawks sucked. I am hoping for good things this year from our D... Nothing woud make me happier than seeing A&A (Schobel & Maybin) sandwich with Brady in the middle on Monday night!!

  7. Every year right before the Super Bowl I always here of people complaining of how they have to go to school or work the next day. I than hear people saying well they should make the Monday after the Super Bowl a holiday so you can sleep in. I than offer the simplest solution why not play the game on a Saturday?

The typical answer I get is well its tradition Super Sunday, but the game use to be played in the afternoon some considered that a tradition. I think if its a unnecessary tradition than why not change it. They don't need the extra day because they get a week off in between.

If it makes the Super Bowl into an event where I can have more fun knowing I can stay up late without regretting the next day and hopefully when the Bills are playing in it celebrate the victory to my hearts desire. Its a win win, no one loses ; the game gets to us a day earlier and we can party harder. Kids don't have school the next day so they can stay up. You can start the game later so the West coast gets the game at a better time.

Do you guys feel the same way. Super Saturday.

That woud be a nice... later night to celebrate!

  8. Hi,

I am a season ticket holder and will be buying some individual tickets this week for my family.

My sister is handicap, she can get around but I am afraid that we will be getting very high seats in the upper deck, and she isn't that good with stairs. It's been a while since she has been healthy enough to go to a game i.e. 10 years.

My question is this, "Is there handicapp access to the upper deck via elevator (in 1 of the 4 towers)?"

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this on game days?

I will be calling the ticket office early this week to find out but any info would be great.

    Thanks,

    and Go Bills!

I now there is on the visitor side of the stadium. My season tickets are on the bills side and I use a chair, howerver they are in the lower bowl

  9. It is not just dome for Buffalo. A great deal of it is the lack of hotels not just for fans attending games but press, marketers, staffs, etc who go to city during period between end of playoffs and Superbowl. Even Jacksonville needed to have cruise ships anchored off coast to have Superbowl.

If you do not believe me look at how many hotels are full just on Memorial Day weekend.

Jacksonville had to bring in cruise ships to get there bed count up to host..

  10. I'm not sure if I ever saw this talked about, and if it has been then I apologize. First off, the numbers KC Joyner provided shows that when it comes to run blocking, even with his 11.5 sacks in 13 games, Peters is a beast. Second, I was wondering if a bulk of Peters sacks came when J.P. took over while Trent was out. Losman was prone to a lot of sacks for his constant scrambling, and I was wondering if Peters' inflated sack totals might have been due to Losman. Just throwing it out there because I was curious. Please don't kill me

    Enough Said....

Peters was the cause for Edwards going out!!! and Was the reason Losman fumbled against the Jets..

Thank god he is gone time to move on!!!

  12. I'll take Hargrove's 2.5 sacks over the zero we usually get.

Hargrove is solid. He's one of those harmless criminals, kind of like Plaxico-- just sort of stumbles into bad situations and does stupid things.

So would I ... He at least played with some passion....

  13. I cant wait for the whites to come out, I will be ordering one once our chinese friends start producing them!

What I really want to know, is when will the Bills go old school permenantly. I have yet to meet a fan who likes the current uni's better than the throwbacks.

I think the Chinese uni's look cheap!!! You can spot that Bright blue bar on them a mile away

  14. Great read. My favorite part of the story:

"The common trait among Hangartner, Wood and Levitre is that, in addition to being highly intelligent, they're physical and play with a nastiness that should serve them well when tangling with the brute force and aggressiveness Wilfork, Jenkins, and Ferguson display on a regular basis."

    SMASHMOUTH!

I agree... However the term "road grader" was used to describe Dockery... But I am very impressed with his replaceme :P nt.

  15. Bills defense should be better than last year. We now have Maybin a pass rusher and Schobel is back. Stroud will play better with a new contract with incentives and McCargo has a new lease on life at DT. Kelsay, Denney and Johnson are all experienced. We will find out if Ellis has the heart to play. He has the ability but ....... The D-line looks to me as if it is stronger than last year.

The Linebackers with Ellison, Posluszny and Mitchell are average at best. DiGregorio is back from his injury and is a good backup at all three positions. I do not know about Thomas but he must have some ability for the Bills signed him. We have a couple of rookies from this year and last year along with a couple of special team LBs to choose from. This crew is just average at best. They have their good games and bad. At least the D-line looks to be stronger so the LB's may also look good.

The CB's could be great with McGee and McKelvin starting. McKelvin stunk in the beginning of the season last year. He got better with experience and showed great flashes of talent. He needs to keep improving and be the shut down CB he was drafted to be. Good depth with Youboty, Florence and Corner. All players with talent.

The Safeties look to be better this season. With a healthy Whitner at SS and Bryd at Free safety the starters look to be strong and you have to like Scott as a back up at SS. Wilson is a fair FS but excellent on special teams... That leaves Wendling, because he is really good on special teams...

Over all I see the Defense improving to maybe 10th to 12th best.

Special teams will again be right on top of the heap with Coach April leading the charge. He would make a great head coach if given the chance. Last year he lost a lot of special talent. The front office brought in several young players to replace them. This kept the salary cap down. Special Teams started slowly as you will remember but again finished as one of the best or the best in the league. I do not have the final standings. Maybe some one has the site for verification.

The Bills Special Teams and the Defense should improve.

Great Post. I gope the stay above 15...

  16. If Trent falls flat on his face and is horrible, what do we do? Do we spend a fortune on drafting a qb in next year's draft? Is Fitzpatrick a decent replacement? Do we go after Brady Quinn, if he is not a starter in Cleveland? We seem to have most of the pieces in place to be good, the o-line and Trent will decide everything.

Lets hope this will not need to be discussed in week 9. He should be fine as long as he does not have his bell rung!
