  1. As a Phins fan I couldn't agree more. I love the battles and the history that we share. I can remember games when we were on top and got knocked off by Buffalo. I'm also old enough to remember going an entire decade w/o losing to you guys. Oh how you must have hated us then. I love the fact that I hate you (Buffalo and it's fan's) and love the fact that you hate me (Miami and its fans). There is true history here and it's special.

There was a thread not to long ago on the Dolphin forum I use and it had a lot to do with this very topic. The OP suggested that we would be better off switching divisions to the AFC south and all but one of us completely disagreed. If any of you are at all interested here is the thread.

Yep! we hate the Dolphins... Maybe not the fans they are pretty lame, I go to the games in Miami once in a while with my Bills uni and rarely get any attention... Try that at the Ralph with a Dolphins uni.... Yellow Coats attack!

  2. Give me a reason to start listening to sports talk radio again. I stopped a few years ago. I just can't stand Schopp and the Bulldog. Mike Schoop thinks he is smarter and better than any body else. So be more down to earth and the listeners will connect with you better. The people of Buffalo, Rochester and the surrounding area are mostly hard working honest people who will see through a prima donna.

I could not agree More!! After every bills game they act like they are the gods to sports radio and I often wonder if they wer at the same game...

  3. I get you, but here's my theorem...

Nix controls the draft, Brandon has no influence with Nix in the draft, therefore Brandon has no influence in the draft

maybe I should have said little or no influence in the draft

perhaps GR8PRKN can offer their wisdom on the intent of the question and whether or not I captured the spirit, or went too far.

Ahhh I would say you captured it perfectly!!! That is what I wanted to know. And as we all know Ralph probably will have some say regardless.....

  4. Ralph DID want Flutie ... but he signed with the USFL that February, so we'll never know how that war-room battle would have turned out.

He liked him some Dwayne Wright, too. Who? Exactly.

Lori, I asked this question yesterday so does TBD owe me a royality for this thread.... And I was happy with Tims reply

  5. You're right on the mark here. I'm reading the same thing as everyone here suggesting he's DJ2, dull, failing to take the blame and all I see is this:

Obviously I was that person that took a lot of the blame last year and rightfully so. I can definitely take that.

If you want a pound of flesh from the guy, fine. But if you want the whole truth, that would include Trent saying:

The offense has been a mess since I've been here.

The offense was a mess with me in the games.

The offense was a mess with me on the sidelines.

The offensive line was very inexperienced to start the year and that didn't help.

The offensive line looked different pretty much every week and that didn't help.

The head coach cutting a starter right before the season didn't help.

The head coach firing the offensive coordinator 72 hours before the pats game didn't help.

Having a rookie offensive coordinator learning on-the-job didn't help.

The fact that our #2 running back was suspended to start bthe season didn't help offensive continuity.

I'd bet many wouldn't like that either, but it's the truth.

I'm all for letting Chan Gailey figure this out. If he can get us some good qb play out of any of the three guys on the roster, great. I'm ok with a qb being happy to play for a guy who knows how to run an offense. I've seen enough crappy offensive football to last a lifetime, and that's just from last year.

    GREAT POST!!!!

  6. Don't be silly. We have too many needs to sacrifice the picks it would take to move that high. Trade up? Bad idea.

Why do I have a horrible image Of Chan Gailey and Nix On the cover of SI or ESPN, Ala Mike Ditka after the NO trade for Ricky Williams....

  7. Question: which would be better (or worse) taking Clausen in the 1st round or Tebow in the 2nd??? Both could happen...and I believe one WILL happen...

I am Warming to Tebow, But dont want him in the second. But I think that is who we are getting.

  8. I live near his hometown (Columbus, TX) His parents operate a restaurant. On Mar 19th we stopped there at lunch time and guess who was behind the counter making himself a plate from the buffet line. Aaron and his brother Matt. My son was wearing his Aaron Schobel jersey at the time. We talked to him for a minute and he signed my son's jersey. Took a group picture..... I wanted to ask him about his retirement decision but didn't want to bug him. He said something about being out of shape so that may be indicative of his passion.

    Yeah probably does......

  9. OK so what we have now is Trent, Fitz and Brohm. Per Nevergiveup, we might have Trent as QB next year.

Can The Chan fix what we have?? We know what we have in Fitz, he is a decent but not great backup and can win a couple of games if the starter gets hurt.

But right now I am unsure he can get Trent back to were he was before the Arizona game in 08.

If Chan can get Edwards to play at a decent level IMO it will be one of great coaching jobs in recent years. I think he would have a better shot at coaching Brohm up, at least he tried to get the ball to his wideouts in the one game he played.

    what do y'all think???

I Could not agree more! I really hope they can get a good perfromance out of T Edwards. They need to build the trenches. 1st Rnd LT 2nd NT 3rd WR or Tebow

I think Trent will be the man but if he stumbles then Tebow or draft a QB next year, this class is soft...

  10. The only reason Maybin saw time over Ellis last season was one of two reasons, or maybe a combination of both.

1- Dick Juaron and co proved they could not evaluate talent, having Maybin play over Ellis is another example of this

2- Maybin was a first round pick.

So yes your idea is plausible

    Good point...
