  1. I continue to root for small market football teams like Green Bay, Indianapolis, and Pittsburgh because it gives me hope that someday the Bills will return to respectability. However, I do have a soft spot for New Orleans given everything they've gone through. Indianapolis (-4) vs. New Orleans Indianapolis -210 New Orleans +175 o/u 55.5
  2. Has Farve retired yet?
  3. Schizophrenia is also known as the Irish Madness. Davis never looked Irish, but I suppose it could be a recessive gene.
  4. It's highly probable that Bradford and Clausen will be off the board by #9. Bulaga would be a super selection in this spot if the Bills don't decide to trade down for Tebow.
  5. Always love the Senoir Bowl. Sounds like Nix should be playing.
  6. Lynch has lost his capacity to shed tackles and gain yards after contact. He plays old. I suspect he dumped his off-season conditioning.
  7. I'm going to be one of the contrarians and say that I am encouraged by the Nix/Gailey team, especially now that he's fired John Guy. Obviously, there are other FO people that have been anchors for this organization for far too long. But, I'm satisfied if he wants to restructure one person at a time. It's interesting to note that as soon as the head coach search was resolved, Guy got flamed. I have no problem with Ralph and Russ missing the PC. Russ didn't need to make it obvious to the national press that he knows nothing about football, we know that already. A prompt 25 minute news conference would last 5 hours while we wait for Ralph to complete a sentence. ESPN would cut away after 2 minutes due to viewers switching in droves to the Hallmark Channel. I would have preferred Marty Schottenheimer at the helm, but we have bigger problems ahead with the uncapped year approaching and an unwillingness by league owners to support small market teams. I say all of these things with due respect for those who are more cynical of the hirings. After all, Ralph has bought and paid for all of this criticism by absolute ineptitude for a full decade or longer. If he's offended by it, he needs only to look in the mirror for his scapegoat.
  8. If Clausen or Bradford is unavailable, trade down for another team's 1, 2, and 4. 1. Take McCoy or Tebow 2a. OT 2b. DT (DE is Schobel retires) 3. ILB 4a. DE 4b. OLB 5. RB
  9. No video link yet, but here's the print story from wivb. http://www.wivb.com/dpp/sports/bills_and_n...personnel-chief
  10. Wide Chance.
  11. Try this link: http://www.profootballweekly.com/2010/01/0...ve-coordinators
  12. The Schottenheimer news pretty well negates everything Nix said at the news conference. So much for Gailey and Nix being the "football people."
  13. Explain to me like I'm a four-year-old how Gailey is better than Schottenheimer. Mr. Wilson is uncomfortable. Can someone please change his diaper so we can go back to being an NFL team?
  14. Sure, you know, just like Queen Elizabeth.
  15. Evidently, Schottenheimer wanted the job, but Wilson pulled the chicken switch. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...anted-bills-gig
  16. It's pretty clear that we'll be a better team offensively next year, if only marginally. If Gailey can bring in a quality DC, we might make some noise in a couple of years. The real wild card is Nix. Can he really execute the kind of success that San Diego had in the draft? Will RW dismiss John Guy?
  17. Getting a strong feeling that Jim Fassel could be the next HC. Just a feeling, no rumor.
  18. Could TONYJUSTBCUZ be referring to ex-Stanford OC and ex-NY Giants HC, Jim Fassel? Fassel has worked with Elway at Stanford, Simms, Esiason, Hoestetler, and practically resurrected Kerry Collins' career. I'm not suggesting that Fassel will be the savior of Edwards or Fitz, but if we're looking for a coach with HC experience who is offensively minded and is good at developing quarterbacks, he's a logical target. He's even had Super Bowl experience, although no ring. Since Wilson seems to be hiring people closer to his own age recently, Fassel is 60. Not quite as old as Nix, but closer than Frazier.
  19. It's 2010 and we have no head coach.
  20. Which playoff team are we waiting for to lose so we can interview their coach/coordinator/assistant with head coaching experience?? Grimm doesn't have HC experience. Harbaugh didn't have HC experience. WTF?
  21. Can we create a Rooney rule where head coaching candidates are required to interview for useless CEOs and owners so they can learn how to interview head coach candidates?
  22. If the Bills keep up with their usual incompetent HC search, I hope that Oakland doesn't beat us to the punch.
  23. Great post. Between now and January 24, Russ Grimm is supposed to interview, and he may well decline the offer. Which brings us back to Leslie Frazier. Nothing against Leslie, I think he'll make a good head coach, probably for us. Time for Nix to hit the rolodex. If you can't come up with any names, consult nfl.com. I hear Ryan Leaf is free.
