  1. Narwocki is God. It's Spiller at 9.
  2. I'll give Tebow this: he's a leader and has incredible intangibles. If you can repair his mechanics and give him some time, I'm not convinced he wouldn't be NFL material. I'd still take Clausen or McCoy over Tebow any day of the week and twice on Sunday. But respect for those that like Tebow. It'll be an interesting draft.
  3. The simple answer is you don't get two-time Super Bowl winning franchise quarterbacks with this many years still left in the tank for a low price like this. Get the man a mentor like Tony Dungy and win some football games. If Lynch was rushing for 1200 yards a year, we'd keep him in spite of all his crap. This Pittsburgh move is an asenine idea. We should be taking advantage of circumstances like this. I know this isn't the popular thing to do or the message you want to hear, but it is a championship decision.
  4. I'd take Clausen at 9 if I could. I'd take Colt McCoy over Tebow in the scenario you've proposed.
  5. Thank you for your honesty. I'm a big boy, I can take it. I stand by my prediction.
  6. Final analysis: I'll be stunned if any of the "big 4" (Bradford, Suh, Okung, McCoy) drop to 9. I'll go one further and predict that someone, perhaps even the Bills, trades up into the 2-8 range and takes Clausen off the board. If the Bills are sincere in their statements that they will not take an OT if the top two are unavailable, that leaves Dan Williams or McClain as the obvious choices in my mind from a need perspective. Other than that, I predict that they will trade down to get more picks to fill more needs. The wild cards are Dez Bryant and Spiller. It's hard to see how the Bills would draft RB without a stud LT to run over unless they plan to run right all season. Taking a WR in the first round is extremely risky but has paid off on occasion. If they want to roll the dice, this is the pick. My ultimate prediction is that the Bills take Clausen when all is said and done at 9 or higher. Nix/Whaley/Gailey want their own QB to build around and Nix has a history at San Diego for making splashy moves high in the draft to obtain the QB he wants. For all of the criticism surrounding Clausen, he is a NFL ready QB with a strong upside. It's a manuever in the Breez/Rivers model. Selecting Tebow or any other QB in rounds 2-7 are mysteries at best. They will trade time for quality this year and store up a warehouse of draft picks for 2011. It will provide them time to groom Clausen and prepare him to play full time in 2011. That's it. Let me have it.
  7. Bills trade down to 20 or lower. Take Tebow.
  8. We could have him look at the other sideline. It's his best quality.
  9. Plausible. The Raiders could take Sammy Baugh for all we know. The Usual: Browns could take Clausen at 7, we could take Morgan at 9 if Schobel has whispered to management his intention of retiring, Dan Williams is always a possibility. I don't see anything really choice falling to us, unless you're talking about Spiller, who is not of the most urgent need. I've seen so many of these mock drafts I can barely see straight. I'm going to wait for the last DraftTek mock and then settle in front of the TV with my popcorn on Thursday night. I really hope they'll trade down, especially if Clausen has been clipped.
  10. This should come as no surprise to Bills fans as the team's management has been abysmal to incompetent at best. As a result, we are looking at a terrifying rebuilding curve. However, Nix/Wailey/Gailey are notorious draft builders. It's clearly going to be a multi-year process to make the Bills competitive in their own division, much less the league. I hope the ownership as well as the fans can hold out to see the job completed. The work begins Thursday. We'll just have to see.
  11. Given this setup, have to take Dan Williams or McClain at 9, or trade down.
  12. Trent Williams or Bulaga would be a great pickup, assuming either's available at 9. I really like Spiller, but if you can't block for the man... Graham and Thomas feel like reaches, and Derrick Morgan was looked irrelevant vs. Iowa in the Orange Bowl. Look out for ILB Rolando McClain (Ala.), who has been back in the discussion in the last day.
  13. I'd take Seattle's 3rd round pick for Lynch and buy him an airline ticket.
  14. I'd enjoy trading down to 20. Someone is going to pick up Clausen along the way before 20, even if another team trades up to take him. IMHO, Anthony Davis is not an option. Has a terrible reputation for work ethic. Better to take one of the talented DE's or OLB's at that spot.
  15. Even the blind squirrel gets the nut some of the time (see Brandon), but three starters would be what we could normally hope for. Development is what this team has lacked this decade. Show me a Bills team that ended the season with players playing better than they did at the start of the season. We've drafted some quality players but they haven't grown and excelled because the coaching was $#*&ing clueless.
  16. All the mock drafts I've seen have the Raiders drafting LT. Assuming they don't select a player from E. Loser College, why wouldn't they take Clausen at 8? Their QB situation is as pitiful as anyone's.
  17. nevergiveup is as reliable as they come. Clausen may slide, but not as far as 26. In a DT weak draft, I'd take Dan Williams at 9.
  18. The NFL has always been and will always be, the What Have You Done For Me Lately League. Win some games, have some winning seasons, and these tweets will go away on their own.
  19. Who is this clown?
  20. Both Gailey and Nix have histories of successful two-year rebuilding plans with their teams. Of prime consequence this year will be LT and NT. By now, Gailey and his coaching staff have seen enough film to know if any of their QBs have any redeeming value, but a decent rookie QB can be had in round 3. Furthermore, if a strong value ILB or OLB appears, they will likely pounce on the opportunity. Down the draft a ways, they can address DE, WR, and RT.
  21. Hard to believe that the Rams don't take Bradford at 1. Harder to believe the Bills would trade up to take him.
  22. 3rd and 1 at the 20 for the Bills... False start False start False start False start 3rd and 21 at the 40 for the Bills... Nobody in motion, Edwards takes the snap, 3 step drop, checkdown pass to Jackson, tackled immediately for a 15 yard loss. Wait, the officials are going to give the Bills a better spot for a 16 yard loss.
  23. Fortunately, Al Davis is a moron and will surely select a player who was slated for round 3.
  24. Be aware of what time of year it is. It's time for GMs to start lying about their intentions about their teams in preparation for the draft. It could very well be that he is sending false signals to the league GMs. Let's hope so.
