  1. Thanks for the post. Hadn't heard about Ferguson's progress with his cancer. Great to hear he's doing well.
  2. Peterson, if still on the board, strikes me as the BPA of the whole draft class. Drafting at 3, this is an easy call: QB. I will live to regret this after another year of dismal defense.
  3. 1. Gabbert 2. Newton 3. Bowers
  4. Why don't we trade Florence for Marty? It's an embarrassment that the league has ignored his talent this long.
  5. You are assuming that our replacement players will be awful.
  6. Interesting development. Some scouts say he is the BPA of the entire draft. Bound to be available at 3.
  7. Wait, I just threw up in my mouth.
  8. From my understanding of what has occurred, and correct me if I'm mistaken, the players were getting 58% of the revenues from the league in the last CBA. The owners wanted the players to receive 40% of the revenues in the new CBA. Splitting the difference would have resulted in the players receiving just 49% of the revenues in a sport that has never been more popular or (allegedly) more profitable.
  9. Don't freak out. This may actually move negotiations along since the owners won't likely approve of any decision the Federal judge makes.
  10. 2010 Spiller 2009a Orakpo 2009b Maualuga 2008 McFumbles 2007 Lynch
  11. My expectation on draft day is: 1. Carolina - Cam Newton QB Auburn 2. Denver - Patrick Peterson CB LSU 3. Buffalo - Blaine Gabbert QB Missouri just sayin.
  12. If Carolina takes Cam Newton at 1, which is not an unreasonable expectation, it's conceivable that Fairley is available at 3. I don't see how you pass him up at that position. Still, I think the Bills FO is looking for a franchise QB that they can lean on for the future post-Fitz. Gabbert is looking better and better to me the more I hear about him. It will be interesting to see how draft day falls out.
  13. Nix loves spectacular QB selections high in the draft. More and more I believe that if he's still on the board, it's Newton at 3.
  14. We can't really still be asking this question, can we? He's not an NFL caliber player in any respect.
  15. Vince Ferragamo.
  16. Sounds like a classic misinformation campaign.
  17. The Justice Department, ICE, and Homeland Security have shut down ten online sports streaming sites like atdhe.net, channelsurfing.net, and firstrow.com in advance of the Super Bowl. If you are watching the big game and can't get to a television, plan ahead by tracking down an alternate site to watch the game. Not sure how this affects Sabres games and the Bills are months away.
  18. Pending the Senior Bowl and combines, it's hard to believe that the Bills wouldn't pick Dareus or Quinn in this scenario. If we're looking at a surprise pick here, they could go Peterson, Gabbert, or Newton. 11. Houston - Steven Paea, DT, Ore. St. would be a tremendous reach.
  19. There's no scenario that would interest me in Young, unless it's part of a three-way trade for Luck.
  20. What I'm most impressed with in his rookie season is the few number of fumbles he's had. Rookie RBs are dismal at taking care of the football. Not so with Spiller. I'm looking forward to his sophomore season where we can add some end of line talent to help spring him, particularly around the tackles where he likes to rack up yardage.
  21. My favorite part was his openness and honesty about the running game doing so poorly. It's rare to see a coach disclose how he truly feels about his team's weaknesses, particularly as a head coach who's responsible for how the team prepares and plays on Sunday.
  22. Under that logic, we should get Edwards back from Jacksonville to teach Cam how to play football.
  23. The NFLPA would be wise to walk away from this dud. They have enough problems with the new CBA and supporting a no-account loser like this sets a miserable precedent for other players in the league.
