  1. But that is what you are going to get with these coaches who have prior head coaching experience. Only Cowher went out on top but even then his final season they went 8-8 and didn't make the playoffs and there was a 3 year stretch from 98-00 without playoffs and the Pitt fans calling for his head. Billick, Shanahan, Gruden, they are all available for a reason.
  2. Wouldn't the interview Nix said they would give Perry Fewell fulfill the Rooney rule? Rivera's been someone who has been up for jobs for probably 5 years now. Has coordinated top NFL defenses in Chicago and San Diego using both the 4-3 and 3-4. While I would prefer Bill Cowher, if they're unable to get him I'd be excited by this hiring.
  3. But that is what James and his father have been doing all week to him on ESPN and have now cost him his job.
  4. And i'm not sure we can really count Maybin as a mistake at this point. Allow him to gain some weight and develop his pass rush moves and the Bills may have a solid pass rushing DE on their hands.
  5. They need a starting LT more than they need a MLB, if they wait until the second round for the tackle they could wind up with the 7th or 8th best at that position.
  6. I like scenario 2 if the draft pick is their 1st round selection, i'm not sure a 2nd rounder should be relied upon to be their starting LT. Also, if Incognito does leave Hangartner can act as a better than average stop gap for another year.
  7. And knee injuries? was he supposed to jump in front of the player who hit brad butler's knee and bent it in the wrong direction? If it were muscle tears and pulls keeping players out I would agree, but there's not much you can do to prevent sprained ankles and torn ACLs.
  8. If the bills put him on the retired list he'd still be Bills property.
  9. McCoy, despite not being their biggest need he is one of the top rated players in the draft. Have seen him rated as high as Suh.
  10. I agree, either him or Tavaris Jackson, who is also young and has starting QB experience. Do you keep Fitzy as backup/mentor or go with Brohm and perhaps a mid round draft choice?
  11. Suggest something that fixes it, I thought that was the point of the thread.
  12. LT-1st Round Pick LG- Levitre C - Hangartner RG- Incognito (Wood if healthy, i've seen nothing to suggest he would be ready by TC) RT - Butler Free agency has quite a few good OLBs, even without a new CBA, would not be surprised if one is brought from there. What did you do with Mitchell?
  13. He's not an unrestricted free agent without a new CBA, so what's the point.
  14. Not nearly enough, from where the Bills would be picking it would likely be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd this year, 1st next year. Not sure how you were valuing Lynch, but the Bucs don't have much of a need for him considering there is 3 RBs on their roster including one who received a decent sized FA contract last offseason in Ward.
  15. At the very least makes sense to keep Simmons around to make sure Wood is healthy and ready to go. If Wood is, then Simmons provides veteran depth to the oline. No lose situation.
  16. I also don't understand the losman comparison, please explain.
  17. Why would we trade something for a player who is going to be a free agent?
  18. I think WR definately needs to be on the list, perhaps even ahead of DT.
