  1. Yes, and it is false, there is a reason he did not come out this year! He didn't receive a 1st round grade from the advisory committee. But jokes on TV claim he'd have been #1. Some of those same jokes claimed Clausen was a top 10 pick and McCoy a 1st rounder. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/...sory-committee/
  2. I don't think Chambers is on the team this year. And if he is going into camp, he gets cut.
  3. Being a rookie I'm sure his awareness is low, forcing the low ranking.
  4. You're applying that to the wrong team though, that is to determine the amount the final 8 team has to spend. Meaning a team can't cut a player and have it free up money. Adalius is a free agent now, and he would count against the money the Jets would have to spend.
  5. Ah, but then there's this: YahooSportsNFL: Talked 2 someone w/ Jets. Sounded less optimistic about signing Adalius Thomas than I expected. Doesn't sound like a slam dunk at all.
  6. It has been said that those rumors have cooled off, also I'm curious how close the Jets are to their spending limit since they would be restricted by the final 8 rule.
  7. Yeah, probably practice squad. Usually they keep 5, so Evans, Hardy, Johnson, Parrish, and Easley are the most likely. Unless an injury or someone from that list gets terribly outplayed. Or if he can bring something else to the table as a special teams contributor, but his slight frame doesn't lend itself to be a great special teams player.
  8. You're really reaching, if they wanted Perriloux they would have drafted him instead of Brown. And is Chris Simms available?
  9. I definately wouldn't trade anything for Jamarcus Russell, especially since you'd have to take on his current contract. Perhaps if he is cut loose I would consider signing him but Nix has said that they've got their 4 QBs.
  10. Just a quick note, Moats will be playing ILB. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...59-aedc24bf4f9a
  11. I find it hard to believe this guy is anything other than training camp fodder. A shot in the dark that best case earns a roster spot, worst case provides a scout team back in camp for the starting D to beat on. I don' t think he, Mendenhall, or any other undrafted back they sign means anything in regards to Lynch. Also, get over Blount, he was a late round guy with work ethic concerns before he sucker punched the Boise St. player. It seems about right that he go undrafted after.
  12. Apparently will be moved to ILB: And as for the move to inside linebacker, Roth believes while that might be his best fit he has the versatility as a pass rusher to play on the edge as well. "Initially, I think he's going to be inside," said Roth. "Right off the bat he's going to be on coverage teams until he gets more familiar, you know, with the inside position. But he has pass rush ability too. He’s got all the tools to make it." http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...59-aedc24bf4f9a
  13. But there were no talented high picks, Anthony Davis is too big an attitude risk and Bulaga fell to 23 for a reason. Selecting either at 9 would have been unwise.
  14. He drafted one in the sixth round (Moats playing ILB). That is a pretty weak hint.
  15. Perfect, since Locker wasn't given a first round grade for this year. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/...sory-committee/
  16. I prefer Mitchell stay outside, with the ability to move inside if injury requires it. Regardless I believe he is guaranteed a roster spot. They now have quite a few guys vying for the OLB spots on the roster. Maybin, Schobel, Kelsay, Mitchell, Ellis, Ellison, Harris and now Batten are all options for the roster. Should be an interesting camp battle. After listening to the press conference it sounds like Moats is going to play inside.
  17. I like the Calloway pick, McKinney was a free agent after last season and was not retained. They do lack a backup for the center position.
  18. Makes sense to take a late round flyer on him then. Worst case he's a special teamer, best case he contributes on defense.
  19. I could see Carrington being a starter down the road and a rotational player this season, but i think Edwards and Stroud are day 1 starters at DE.
