  1. But he held all of the cards needing a contract extension.
  2. Intruiging though, perhaps if he can return to pre-injury form Wood could move to center and shore up the interior?
  3. Everything pre-draft had him listed as a 3rd-4th round prospect, has there been any word as to why he fell to the 7th? Scooter DUI?
  4. Worst case he'll get leaving the scene of an accident. It will be impossible to prove he was drunk. There is a precedent with the Lance Briggs case isn't there? "Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs will be under court supervision for a year and must pay $485 in fines for leaving the scene and not immediately calling police after crashing his Lamborghini and abandoning it alongside an expressway. Briggs pleaded guilty Thursday to leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident after his car careered into a light pole and a concrete bridge support in Chicago early on Aug. 27. Cook County Judge Earl Hoffenberg also ordered Briggs to perform 15 days of community service focusing on educating young people about the importance of safe driving. Briggs didn't speak in court except to say he understood the consequences of pleading guilty." He was not suspended by the league
  5. Unfortunately Incognito is not the type of player you want around with a new coach coming in. I think Chamber is only around still because he had years left on his contract, not because he had any type of talent advantage. I think unless Calloway falls on his face he is our swing backup G/T this year.
  6. The only depth they have in the interior would be Calloway, who is currently lining up at RT. I think a guy who can play C/G has to be a priority when camp cuts role around.
  7. Really? #4 overall pick Mike Williams? Perhaps Maybin was having difficulty playing in coverage and is better suited playing behind/in rotation with Kelsay or as a passing down rush linebacker only?
  8. I tried to go the scalping route a few years ago and found if I was planning on going to all or most of the games it was cheaper and more reliable just to get season's in the rock pile or upper deck. You'll end up spending the $30-35 per game and dont have to miss kickoff or spend 2 hours finding tickets-missing valuable tailgate time.
  9. I think Brown's value would be higher than that of Gaither, and the Saints are receiving picks back from the 'skins.
  10. "If Washington's third-round pick goes to Philadelphia, then the Redskins' fourth-round pick will go to New Orleans, with a sixth- or seventh-round pick coming back to Washington from the Saints. However, if Washington's fourth-round pick goes to Philadelphia, then the Redskins' third-round pick will go to New Orleans, with a fifth-round pick coming back to Washington from the Saints. There is also a conditional 2012 sixth-round pick involved. Should Brown play 90 percent of the plays next season or get voted to the Pro Bowl, then Washington will send its 2012 sixth-round pick to New Orleans. After Saturday's trade, Washington has six picks left in the 2011 draft." http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=...amp;eid=5306133 I'm not sure how they couldn't match that offer with a guaranteed 3rd? No picks are lost except for maybe the 2012 6th rounder. You have to wonder if Brown would sign the tender to be traded to Buffalo? But the asking price for Gaither just went down.
  11. An over the top threat isn't absolutely necessary, the use of play action and an intermediate passing game would work. However Lee Evans has been a successful downfield option in the past.
  12. Thanks for the input. 1. Nelson - potential as a downfield threat, is a willing blocker 2. Schouman - does nothing great, does everything ok 3. Matthews - for his blocking ability, could see him being Bills #2 in two TE sets Is Stupar still practice squad eligible? wouldn't mind seeing him retained if that is the case.
  13. I have more faith in Meredith being the LT starter as he is not coming off a major injury and proved to be the more reliable player at the end of last season.
  14. I suppose in technical league terminology he would not be a rookie. What I was referring to is that since he does not have extensive NFL playing experience, or any before 2009, he could be called a "rookie" as that is the definition of the word.
  15. Seeing as he wasn't active for any of the games in 2008 I'm not sure he was wrong.
  16. I'm not sure how that could have been predicted considering it is a completely different coaching staff? Also, they gave him the ability to seek a trade before the April 1st bonus was to be paid out. He opted to accept the $20 million bonus.
  17. anyone know what happened to this site? I was in the middle of a transaction which they never invoiced, stopped replying to emails, and now neither .net nor .com work.
  18. Is this the game with the opening play bomb to Moulds which was completed and then fumbled? Edit: Put two hands on the ball and quit carrying it like a loaf of bread!
