  1. As far as depth it is. As for Jean-Gilles, you have to wonder if there is some type of under the table deal made with the Eagles for them to cut him. Perhaps the promise of an extension or raise. I would think he could be signed by another team, but a starting job would likely have to be promised, and he wouldn't get that here.
  2. From Ross Tucker Twitter: SI_RossTucker RE: Final cuts. Some teams wait 'til last second & fail to publicize cuts b/c they think it helps them sneak guys onto Practice Squad.
  3. 2nd rounder, who they traded the following years 1st round pick to obtain.
  4. Not sure Seattle makes sense, they spent so many resources obtaining Whitehurst.
  5. Often enough? I can't think of once that it's happened to the Bills in recent memory. When did Hamdan or Brohm ever come into the game in the middle of a game?
  6. This note was on the player card for Giacomini and Barbre: "The Green Bay Packers may have a trading partner for one of their surplus of offensive linemen but as of the end of business on Friday, General Manager Ted Thompson hadn't pulled off a deal in advance of Saturday's final roster cuts." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=11384
  7. Wang will be kept as well, hopefully they can find another OG who is better than Chambers. Wood will act as the backup center.
  8. Seems as though Jones, the other undrafted rookie WR, was more impressive.
  9. I remember liking him going into the draft last season. Seems like he would be an upgrade over either Chambers or Howard, both of whom could make the team as interior line depth. I wonder if Whaley would have any connection being with Pitt last year when they drafted him.
  10. However there was such a disparity in time of possession that the defense would get worn down by games end. Thus having no gas left in the tank to get off the field.
  11. Demetrius Bell? If they keep Chambers it will be to be a backup Guard.
  12. That would be unfortunate for them, they'd likely move Carey, their RT, to LT.
  13. It's been reported that he's had a great training camp, it'd be an upgrade cutting Chad Jackson and replacing Stevie Johnson in the starting lineup with Crayton. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6975/news;_ylt=AvBl3feO1rOQKjA0L5U5Iq_.uLYF
  14. Is there a way to turn off the notification for this, because it made the chatroom unbearable.
  15. Is this the first board you posted this on? cause i swear the exact same thing was on another board and also failed.
  16. He was kinda without a position coming out. He was big but not athletic enough to be play TE, his position in college. But was an unknown as an offensive lineman and would take alot of time to find out. He also scored a 9 on his wonderlic, perhaps adding to the notion that he would not be able to handle a position change or an NFL playbook.
  17. San Diego is only allowing him to negotiate with Seattle for whatever reason, you'd also have to sign him to a lucrative long term deal and he is suspended for the first 3 games of the season due to violating the leagues conduct policy (multiple DUI's).
  18. He isn't a free agent and i'm not sure I would put him in the "big name" category.
  19. Actually, seems as the Bills are the type of team that does have time to develop their players as they are a few years away from contention.
  20. http://www.wgr550.com/Lynch-could-be-ready-for-Thursday--Bills-cut-3/8033970 "The Bills needed to make three cuts by 4:00 tomorrow, but they've already done it. Gone are NT Lonnie Harvey out of Morgan State, WR Aaron Rhea who was brought in to take reps when all the WR were hurt and 7th round pick OL Kyle Calloway out of Iowa. It is unusual for a draft pick to be released in the first cut, but obviously he did not make a good impression on the coaching staff."
  21. Draft day mistake???? He was a 7th round pick.
  22. Sacks are what he was brought in to get, which in itself are a boom or bust stat. On a no doubt passing down if it is the move that he feels most comfortable using than why not go for it?
  23. Other than more media coverage I'm not sure it would make a difference, the offense is what has improved and Chan is still calling the plays.
