  1. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/476131-jacksonville-jaguars-ex-buffalo-bills-qb-trent-edwards-worth-jags-waiver-claim With Garrard's struggles, wouldn't be surprised to see him get a few starts by years end.
  2. Even better, they get two drafts to build before they play again.
  3. Week 1 they used all of their timeouts and had to take a delay of game penalty near the goalline due to them not being able to get the plays in in time. This was in partial a result of Jimmy Raye not knowing the names of his own plays: “It seems like Jimmy calls plays from memory a lot of the time and not exactly the way it’s written down,” said one of the aforementioned sources, adding that the plays often get garbled. “He knows the plays and he knows the right thing to call, but he’s fumbling through his papers and it’s like, ‘Hey, we need to get a play called.’ ” http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jc-directsnap091410
  4. It seems alot of their picks were with an eye towards who they thought would become the best player, rather than who they thought would help their lineup the most this season. Perhaps since, as Buddy has stated multiple times, "they can't do it all in one year." Troup and Carrington are not better than the players ahead of them at their position right now. But the thought is that the more "best players" you get on the team, after multiple years of drafting in this fashion, there will be a team with multiple "best players" filling it. It's unfortuanate now because everyone wants instant results.
  5. Bulaga didn't start tonight, just rotated in for Clifton who's banged up. Here's your chance to see him against Peppers.
  6. Gailey said in the press conf today that he'd be back this week.
  7. I get the blast on Maybin, but what has Coleman showed to warrant playing time?
  8. Likely a numbers game with Edwards, Stroud, Johnson, McCargo, and even Kyle Williams can bump to end if need be.
  9. Because he has to be active for a certain number of games in order for it to count as a year of service. Without this year of service gone by he could remain Chargers property.
  10. It's unfortunate because it seems like hanging the sign was something you enjoyed, however your suggestion seems unrealistic and an awful lot of aggrivation and waste of resources from the Bills part to allow fans to hang signs. Perhaps there was an incident regarding a hung banner in the past? Seems like they would hold off on the rule until the marketing and advertising was on the wall.
  11. You didn't even come close to responding to the question. I highly doubt they would use the same draft order. They would be more likely to use the system the NHL did to determine the draft order after their lost year which was a lottery determined draft order. The draft was then done in a serpentine fashion.
  12. what is his injury status though? He was on IR.
  13. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4397938 "The first year of the deal is for $1.6 million with the second-year option worth $5.2 million, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Vick can also earn an additional $3 million in incentives over the two years of the contract, sources told ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli."
  14. Perhaps Bell can be back to playing full games again this week. Also would like to see Urbik on the active roster over Howard.
  15. Being an uncapped year free agent options that represented any type of future at QB were nil. That left maybe Clausen or McCoy, but if they liked neither would you have preferred they pick one of them and go forward regardless? I dont disagree with your comments regarding Brohm however.
  16. With the exception of Willis and maybe Roscoe, both of which were Donahoe, all of those picks were not taking the "best available talent" but rather were reaching for need. You can also add Hardy and McCargo to the list of players who were reached for because they filled a need.
  17. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/playerbreakingnews.asp?sport=NFL&id=5986&line=182776&spln=1 "Updating a previous item, the Eagles have not signed RB Joique Bell off the Bills' practice squad. "And it's not a lock that they will," says Adam Caplan of FOX Sports." The Bills would have the right to match the offer and add him to their roster also.
  18. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/playerbreakingnews.asp?sport=NFL&id=3061&line=182415&spln=1 Right Here: "Peters is like the boy that cries wolf. He keeps going down in a heap, screaming in pain, and then getting back up. It fits with his reputation" It humors me that there are people who would rather the Bills suck and be right. haha beat me to it.
  19. I guess you'd have to weight the percentages, the odds that Rackers makes a 53 yarder (which he hasn't done since 2004 and i'm sure Kubiak knows his kickers range better than us) vs. the odds that Washington can move the ball 25 yds and get into field goal range themselves.
  20. Haha, likewise, loved the calls last week ripping "Stan Gainey".
  21. How can you be so certain? This is a team that, before 1995, played half of their home schedule in Milwaukee because they couldn't support the team solely in Green Bay. Enter Brett Favre, winning, and suddenly they're this historically great fanbase. They've done a great job the last 15 years of maintaining a winning product, but give them 5 or 6 years of losing and are they back to that again? If the basis of the Bills moving to Toronto is that they play a game there, isn't it just as viable the Packers move? I agree, do as you please. I also back the notion of probably no longer supporting the NFL if the Bills were to move.
  22. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/12/18/locker-didnt-get-a-first-round-grade-from-advisory-committee/ "As pointed out in the Associated Press article regarding Locker's decision not to forgo his final season of college eligibility, Locker had submitted his name for consideration to the NFL Collegiate Advisory Committee, which estimates where a player might be drafted. Despite a proclamation by ESPN's Todd McShay that Locker would/should/could be the first overall pick, a league source tells us that Locker didn't receive a first-round grade from the Advisory Committee."
