All of these points are stated from a fans perspective, none of which would be a consideration or fear to the new and current regime. In regards to the original post, the most recent mistake Polian made was airing his dirty laundry and risking alienating his teams 1st round pick that is signed to a 5 year contract and their current left tackle who they chose over Ugoh.

Should McKelvin be benched?
Ghost of Rob Johnson replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With Florence and Youboty also entering free agency after the season it wouldn't surprise me. Patrick Peterson and Prince Amukamara are also both rated as top 5 picks. -

Fitzgibbons is a Qualty QB

If he gets credit for the past few weeks he gets just as much credit for this game. -

Also, Urbik, the right guard, is to his left, and Bell and Levitre, the LT and LG, are to his right. Only thing I can think is maybe he caught a 2 yd pass, so he's facing the line of scrimmage, which would also explain the strange positioning of the olinemen. -
Put up or shut up for Maybin
Ghost of Rob Johnson replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybin contract: 8/21/2009: Signed a five-year, $17.6 million contract. The deal includes $15 million guaranteed. Another $7.4 million is available through incentives based on playing time and sacks. 2010: $395,000, 2011: $757,500, 2012: $1.12 million, 2013: $1.4825 million, 2014: $1.5 million, 2015: Free Agent http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_contract.aspx?sport=NFL&id=5177 He's guaranteed 15 million, meaning a small amount over the next 4 years would be saved. Wouldn't put a dent in resigning any of the guys you listed. If they're going to cut him it's because they feel he's tapped out his potential and the roster spot is better used by someone else. Not to save money. -
"Bell has not allowed a sack this season, by The News' count. He did well against inside power rushes from Chicago star Julius Peppers three weeks ago. He was sound against Detroit two weeks ago. But it's hard to make a definitive statement on his pass protection, because the Bills' offensive scheme has helped the pass protectors a lot." http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article266393.ece

Jackson gets a new Agent
Ghost of Rob Johnson replied to '64 Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Though the financial details of the contract were not immediately available, the extension is considered far superior than the one-year, $460,000 tender the Bills offered Jackson to retain his rights this offseason." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4163858 -

Wrong Reggie, it's Torbor. http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/12/01/reggie-torbor-out-indefinitely-with-shoulder-injured-against-ste/ "Starting linebacker Reggie Torbor is the latest casualty added to the list as the former New York Giant and Miami Dolphin's injured shoulder is worst than initially thought. He hurt it during the Steelers game last Sunday and Bills coach Chan Gailey said on Wednesday that it doesn't look like Torbor will be back anytime soon." Make way for Maybin.

Behind Detroit? Who is down to their 3rd string QB and who the Bills also beat. -
But the remainder of Evans contract isn't that restrictive: 2010: $5.4 million (+ $3 million roster bonus), 2011-2012: $3.025 million (+ $1 million roster bonuses), 2013: Free Agent http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_contract.aspx?sport=NFL&id=26

Sabres may be for sale- per ESPN
Ghost of Rob Johnson replied to RocBillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Bettman wouldn't allow them to move a team from Phoenix, he's definitely not going to allow them to move a team from a good hockey market like Buffalo. -
I don't believe Jamaal Brown is fair to lump into your other options as a contract extension was necessary and it's unlikely he would have been willing to do that with Buffalo. Also, Flozell was released well after Green was signed, and would you choose Buffalo or Pittsburgh? So I guess all you can really say is that an unhappy Langston Walker should have still been on the team.

Who Bills Need To Get Extentions !!!
Ghost of Rob Johnson replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
http://www.walterfootball.com/freeagentscontractsbuf.php This has alot of the guys, not everyone though. The Bills don't typically sign players, wisely in my opinion, before they are in the last year of their contracts. I'd like to see them resign Poz, Wilson, and Whitner (there is an option year for 2011, not sure if it's player or team however) but the remaining players on your list are signed at least through next year many through 2012. I think Florence is allowed to walk with Corner playing decent and as you stated McKelvin being a part of the perceived future lineup. The exception would possibly be Stevie Johnson, who is an RFA at the end of the season, I could see rewarding him with a larger contract than just his tender. -

Is It Time To Trade Another ??
Ghost of Rob Johnson replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trade deadline has past and therefore he can't be traded until after the season. At that point I doubt any team gives up anything for a guy who played 3 games the prior season for a 1 win team. -
Tampa Bay Bucs wr Mike Williams arrested for dwi
Ghost of Rob Johnson replied to miketan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lower portion of the article: "Several weeks ago, Bucs tight end Jerramy Stevens was busted on marijuana charges, and he promptly was cut. Williams likely won’t suffer the same fate, especially if the final test results remain under 0.08 percent, the legal limit." "Schefter reports that Williams was pulled over for driving going 12 mph over the speed limit. Breath testing indicated that Williams’ alcohol level was under the legal limit. Williams was then brought in and gave a urine sample. The Tampa Tribune reports that a urine test is done if a deputy suspects a driver is impaired by a substance other than alcohol. The results of the urine test will determine whether Williams ends up with more than a speeding ticket." -

"Often when scouting NFL prospects, the more we see an elite player the more we're able to spot chinks in his body of work. That doesn't seem to apply to Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck." http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/feed/2010-10/draft-dish/story/draft-dish-andrew-luck-looks-better-all-the-time http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-football/feed/2010-09/heisman-watch/story/andrew-luck-the-next-great-quarterback "Hes patient, hes thoughtful, and hes not in this just for the fame and sudden cash. Luck has everything else, too: At 6-foot-4, he has the ideal size for a drop-back NFL quarterback, he has the strong arm, and he has run Harbaughs prostyle scheme with veteran savvy...In my view, Luck is the best NFL quarterback prospect to come out of college since Eli Manning and Philip Rivers in 2004." http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2010/11/17/stanfords-andrew-luck-looking-at-no-1-overall-if-he-wants-it/

Atlanta needs a new stadium?
Ghost of Rob Johnson replied to John Gianelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Context "NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Atlanta likely will have to build a new stadium if it wants to host its third Super Bowl." The comment was in regards to Atlanta needing a new stadium before getting another Super Bowl, not that they needed a new stadium in general. Which makes sense when comparing the 19 year old Georgia Dome to the new style stadiums being built across the league. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101112/ap_on_sp_fo_ne/fbn_goodell
