  2. The money Whitner wants isn't in the same stratosphere as the money Asomaugha will get.
  3. Who's reports are you reading? I like this draft, i'm a big fan of Green and Sheppard, wouldn't mind seeing them fill the RT position in free agency however and perhaps draft an SS at the top of round 2 or they could also go with a CB as I doubt Florence will be resigned.
  4. Clay Matthews was 6'3" 240 lbs at the combine - is now listed at 255 lbs Brian Cushing was 6'3" 243 lbs at the combine - is now listed at 259 lbs These guys are 21 years old, they're still growing. I'm not sure the positional value is there at three, but it's sounding like he may be a guy that definitely goes top 10 and maybe even top 5.
  5. Todd McShay on Von Miller: "He's been one of the, if not the, best player (in Mobile) this week."
  6. Todd McShay on Von Miller: "He's been one of the, if not the, best player (in Mobile) this week."
  7. Kelvin Sheppard LSU 6-2.1 250 Very stout especially lower body http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1116449 I like this guy in the 3rd.
  8. Rhinehardt played guard after Urbik was hurt and i'm not sure if he's played tackle at the NFL level. That said I agree that I think he is in the mix along with Urbik and Hangartner for the starting RG/C spot for next year. With a dearth of young serviceable RTs scheduled to hit free agency I could see them going that route again this year. Would also like to see Wrotto resigned as depth.
  9. It amounts to a 5th rounder for 12 games, 15 if you count the playoffs, for Holmes regardless if he resigns or not. The next contract is separate from this one, they could have not traded for him and signed him as a free agent and kept the 5th. Based on their success I guess the deal was worth it, but it wasn't such a sure thing at the time.
  10. managed the game and made big passes when he needed to.
  11. To go from 5 to 3 is still a 2nd rounder. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2410670
  12. He injured his knee in the playoffs in his second season. He went to the Pro Bowl the following year and he's thrown for 4000 yards twice since. I think he's over the knee injury. The issue is his elbow that has bothered him since 2008 and has refused to have surgery on to repair: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carson_Palmer I don't think he helps the Bills.
  13. He and flutie were on top 10 qb controversies.
  14. He's signed through 2011 season. http://www.buffalosportsdaily.com/stevie-johnson-contract/
  15. If they were to go exclusively in the 4-3 Williams, Stroud, Troup, and Johnson would likely be the DTs. Edwards, Carrington, Kelsay, Maybin would be the DEs that are currently on the roster. But I agree with this, he is not the defensive coordinator but a position coach/consultant and while his voice may be louder than the other position coaches in the room I dont think his signing changes any future plans for the defense. I think Merriman and Moats man one spot while they bring in a high pick (top 3 rounds) to compete with or replace Kelsay.
  16. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/22/toronto-mayor-wants-an-nfl-team/ It's nice to want something, but until they build a new stadium an NFL team is a pipe dream.
  17. What stat is being used to determine passing ranking? Ranked 3rd overall in passing YPG in 2010. and I do realize they faced the 2nd least pass attempts per game in the NFL this year.
  18. Isn't Wannstedt likely filling the ILB coach position vacated by Demontie Cross? Sanders probably remains the OLB coach, i'm not sure why his role would change at all.
