  1. I'm saying free agency will be after the draft, then they can sign guys. It's different, but perhaps better because they can draft best player available and sign guys to fill their positions of need. They'd be competing with the other teams regardless. My disagreement was with the statement that it hampered them in the draft, cause it doesn't, & that there are no good available free agents because 5 guys were tagged.
  2. It will allow them to take the best player available and fill in their needs with free agency. There are many free agent RTs hitting the market this year: Clabo, Harris, Yanda, Gaither, & Colon to name a few. There are also likely to be many free agents in general as last year, due to the changing rules without a CBA, there really wasn't free agency. So there's basically two years worth of guys hitting the market. It just happens that the 5 or 6 premier guys that the Bills had no chance at anyway got tagged.

  4. Last year a 1st round tender was $2.621 million, a 2nd round tender was $1.684 million, both of which are less than the average salary from his rookie contract.
  5. Wouldn't being a national top recruit and winning 2 National Championships at two different college levels be the definition of a "whole body of work?"

  7. Their contracts with their former teams were terminated, so they're free to sign a new contract before the current CBA runs out, which is March 3rd.
  8. That is true, if that is what Whitner is asking for. Also, depends on what Sanders would sign for. Also, Wilson is a free agent.
  9. I think minus Whitner and Wilson it becomes a pretty big need. Also, aren't Sanders and Atogwe both FSs? Is it possible they are looking for a replacement for Byrd, not Whitner?
  10. I could see them signing 4 to 5 players, just not players at the level of Asomugha.
  11. I disagree with how rich it is, Boss is seemingly the biggest name, but it is also said that NY would be insane to let him leave. I'm interested in Rudolph at the top of the 2nd round.
  12. Then again Harris and Woodley are two LBs playing at a high level drafted in the 2nd round. Not saying I want Dline to be the pick, cause I don't. But the LB position doesn't typically have enough value that high in the draft.

  14. I would say even showing he can be a contributing player or show some form of promise would get him a roster spot at the end of camp. As of right now he's shown neither.
  15. The draftees cannot sign contracts until a new CBA is reached, therefore my guess is that undrafted players can also not sign.
  16. If this is the case, wouldn't it be more beneficial to get one sooner rather than later?
  17. Is it the same exact team? Is Jake Plummer still playing QB?
  18. Aren't the owners still getting the television revenue? I don't think they are connected at all. Will be interesting to see if they do the unveiling of the new uniforms before there is a new CBA.
  19. I don't think they take him, he has conditioning concerns which they have shown matters to them quite a bit (Troupe over Cody). There are also character concerns: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1117626
  20. Notables: Youboty and Florence are out McCargo, gone Ayodele, Ellison, Torbor are out I think Whitner signs elsewhere I think if Wilson was staying we would have heard something regarding it. I think Strouds future depends on the #3 pick I think Poz resigns. Will probably have to sign a free agent SS to replace Whitner in the starting lineup.
