I disagree here, basing on last years draft, it appears they are willing to take the best available player regardless of positional needs on their current roster. If pick 1 & 2 go as you say, which I agree with, I think the selection comes down to AJ Green or Patrick Peterson.

Your opinion in #3 makes the assumption that by drafting Peterson they'd be passing on the Joe Greene, LC Greenwood, Jack Lambert or Jack Hamm. If the drafting team had the option of picking between a future Hall of Fame CB or DL/LB, I'm sure they'd take the DL/LB. But obviously that is an unknown, and therefore if there is a player that they feel has the ability to become a HoF anything he should be the pick. Or, to put another way, was Mel Blount more important to that defense than Ernie Holmes or Dwight White?

That's not alot of money at all.

Sorry, you're right, off the top of my head I thought it was 233lbs.

Matthews plays at 6-3, 255lbs. The concern is that Miller, like Matthews, will have to gain weight to get to a typical playing weight for an NFL OLB. He weighed in at the senior bowl in the low 230's. However I think it is more the exception than the rule that players play at the same weight that they did in college.

I think that's the point.

They could meet with him for any number of reasons. Perhaps during their interview they'll ask questions regarding Marvin Austin or Bruce Carter. Perhaps they feel he's a player that could fall to pick 26.

You're jumping to conclusions. Merely bringing him in for a visit does not tell us that they are contemplating anything. It means they wanted to meet with him. In fact, as some have said, it could tell you that they could consider him falling to pick 26. Also, I hate that almost all of Quinn's production his sophomore year came against inferior opponents.

If they're not a union and there is no CBA it is not legal for the NFL to determine, by a draft, what team they play for.

I've not heard anything regarding Dareus having a knee issue. Is this a new finding? Bowers is the one who had a minor knee surgery, but I wouldn't let it stop me from drafting him top 10. Something major, like McGahee, would.

I'd add two more names to your list of 8, Robert Quinn & Cam Jordan, that are top rated players. Any of the ten I could see the reasoning behind and would be okay with.

The problem with that being the possibility of no draft next season and reports that trades involving picks from that draft not being honored.

My point was that it is not baseless, or purely based on race, that Gabbert is smarter or could be quicker to pick things up than Newton. Gabbert's phenominal Wonderlic score illustrates that.

I think their wonderlic scores are what lend support to the belief that Gabbert may be quicker at learning an NFL playbook/reads.

Come on, you're obviously aware that comparing their college stats/awards does nothing to determine their pro potential.
