  1. all i gotta say is - i love our GM... Here's hoping Whaley picks up a lot from him as well.
  2. exactly... he'll bulk up and play end on rotation. he solid against then run. I am really thinking bringing him back is a sign schobel is on the outs. hey, at least that frees up his contract money...
  3. you've posted 25 times. with posts like this you shouldn't make it to 50... trent's got game... lets see if he can get back to it again.
  4. not gonna lie this is one of the better threads on here. nice to see someone actually put forth some genuine football info/observations as opposed to the typical "if I were GM I'd trade roscoe, whitner, schobel, lynch and edwards for brady, moss, peyton and ed reed..." Tebow in round 3... go bills!
  5. your thinking is wayyy to rationale for this blog of haters. I completely agree with you, but then again I also have moderate intelligence... let's prepared to be ragged on!
  6. im laughing so hard i'm coughing. hysterical. love it.
  7. I'd love taking him at 9. He's got game and would be a huge anchor along that line for years... not to mention whenever they want to bulk up for big downs, kyle would be a nice guy next to him or to spell him. not against picking him unless Okung is there. He is the real deal.... for the 1,000th time - NO QBs in round 1!!!!

  9. remember you said that in a few years...
  10. wow... you don't know football if you want to waste a 1st on 2 qbs that are hardly 1st round worthy in most other drafts. tebow in the second is early, I agree. I'd prefer lefeouver or tebow in the 3rd and as oyu said DL/OL/LB in the early rounds. however - make no mistake - Clausen is a second coming of brady quinn and bradford has the makings of a Joe Flacco - big hype/name but really just not a great QB numbers wise.
  11. exactly... unless we decide to use Kawika outside but he seems wayyyy to slow. maybin is the wild card. if he has speed (liek they all say) and can learn to cover he might be a huge assett at OLB. but i think mitchell's days are numbered. be nice to get a 6th or 7th for him
  12. agreed and he also has history of playing MLB so he's naturally a fit at ILB
  13. Just curious why we haven't gone after this raider cast off. He actually has some game, and could be a solid NT prospect at 325-330. Personally, I think he can be a good stop gap at NT for us (he's 31). here's scouts take on him: Warren has excellent size and strength for the position and he is a good overall athlete. He can stack blocks quickly against the run and shed in time to make plays in a short area. His effort and pad level can be inconsistent at time, but when rotated he is a physical run defender who is tough to move off the ball. He has good strength as a pass rusher and can create a good inside push on the pocket when he keeps his pads down. His motor and effort are not always ideal, but when rotated he is an effective player inside.
  14. well you can correct one of those.... get on that Miller train...
  15. Would really like this. He's in the 250 range, so it might mean a move outside for poz or mitchell. But still, would be a good stop gap for a couple years (he's 31). i like having a guy that size especially in jumbo situations, but he would be useless against a back like shonn greene if he gets to the outside. as much as I'm not an ellison fan, his speed would be necessary if our LB corps is Davis, Mitchell and Poz. At some point you need an LB that can cover a RB or TE in the flat and Ellison is best suited for this. I think most Bills fans would be OK with this. Davis is a high-character, competitive player who brings excellent leadership. He is smart player who gets his teammates aligned and is quick to read the play, but his body often doesn't react and respond as quickly as his mind. He is a fearless player and never hesitates to insert versus the run or lay into a receiver coming across the middle. However, Davis isn't agile, quick or fast enough to make enough impact plays and upper-tier, pass-catching running backs and tight ends are more than he can handle. He also has marginal size when taking on centers or guards in the run game and can be engulfed. He is too slow to shed and has average overall take-on power, especially as the game goes on because he is an older player with stamina concerns.
  16. actually any QB. no QB is worth it at 9th. Not clumsy clausen or broken shoulder bradford... it's its NOT a OL, DL or LB I will be pissed... and agreed about us not getting orakpo last year. I screamed a nice solid UGH NOOOO from the 2nd balcony at Radio City music hall... just wnated the cameras to know.
  17. You are very correct. And the Chargers operated in the same manor. They'll occasionally sign a modest FA but not that often. It is the smart and ideal way to build a team. Like in any sport, be it baseball, football, hockey - teams are built through the draft. We need to stop being idiots on this board and look at what successful franchises do....
  18. thats why you are a GM... gosh these posters are worse and worse by the day!
  19. exactly. Donahoe and GW wanted a 4-3 and didn't like big pat. plain and simple. Goes to show you that Butler/AJ/Nix saw some talent and those yahoos let it go by the wayside. I very much trust nix and whaley. I like the modest FA signings coupled with a solid draft. Now lets hope they drat well!!! go bills! STRICT!
  20. Any news on weather we got him or not?
  21. totally agree, plus wooten is wrong - we DID sit down with Frazier. He was our first interview. so clearly, wooten can't be that reliable. also - if you are giving an "online course for GM/NFL scouting" doesn't that all but mean he isn't capable of getting hired for a real job in the NFL?
  22. 1.) Im here the whole time, in Japan 2.) My point was "historically" he is a better depth end then either of these 3.) don't assume Kelsay will play OLB. He is 260ish and may well rotate in at end or play the over if Schobel retires and still be a LB that is on the line.
