Floyd is absolutely good. @NewErais 100% correct. He was a huge signing. That doesn’t take away from the fact that Tua has been hit less than any QB in the league this season (5times) and is getting rid of the ball quicker than any QB this season. He makes 1 read and gets the ball out consistently. The Dolphins are an absolute powerhouse. and I am not saying we can’t win, or we should even expect a loss. But they are the best offense in football right now and it’s not close. They’ve scored the 2nd most points in history after the first 3 games. So regardless of how much you think their line “ain’t that good” they are doing something that hasn’t been matched since the 50s. but that’s not the argument. The argument is 100% fact that Floyd is a good player and absolutely worth what we are paying him. He’s 9th in sacks in the league since 2020. He averages almost a half a sack per game throughout his career. He’s averaging over a sack a game so far this year. You want to say he has only been good with Donald next to him? Well, he’s having his best start of a season right now and that’s without Donald being next to him. That’s without Von Miller opposite him. And for the record, he wasn’t that great in his first few years because he played in Chicago. You do realize Chicago sucks right?

I’m definitely eating crow on Bernard and for the FO for drafting him to begin with. To echo what many have said, I still think he could be a liability of some team decides to run it all over us. But his coverage ability as well as his blitzing, and knack for being around the ball seems to outweigh it. He will get overpowered at times but u like Edmund’s he actually looks for angles and holes around the blockers instead of just plowing right into them. I was no fan of Edmunds either. Especially at the price tag that he was asking for. not saying it’s going to surely be the case for the whole season. We’ll see as the season goes on and teams start looking at Bernard and his weaknesses. But it’s looking like a solid pick and like, along with many others, we’re way off on this guy. keep balling out TB

Waste of a pick. Not that he’s bad. It’s that the FO and coaching staff aren’t on the same page with this guy. He doesn’t and never did fit their scheme so someone had to give and apparently the coach has made that decision that he was a wasted pick.

Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah. Every single year since he was drafted. At some point people will just realize he is who he is and it’s not going to change. fwiw he’s not terrible. But definitely not worth what he’s making. Was t worth a day one draft pick either.
