I do. I appreciate the breakdown. Like I said. I’m not an X and O guy. Never played more than a few weeks of high school ball. My frustration comes from why isn’t it working. And to be honest, if it was that easy, Dorsey wouldn’t have been fired and the offense wouldn’t be struggling.

That all sounds fine. But it’s not working. The offense looks anemic. Either the concept sucks. Or they aren’t running it correctly. Like I said, it’s easy to cover a huge portion of the field when the majority of the receivers are all heading to the same spot

If we take a defensive player in round 1 I am going to puke Yeah. I know who you said. I don’t follow college ball, so when I saw the name I looked him up and watched a few vids. I just don’t see him being special. Or particularly fast tbh.

The problem I see with this is the X and H are in same exact spot to start the play. Generally running a similar route (at least general direction) and the Y is crossing right into the same zone as both of them. So to start, 2 players are lined up and running in the same general vicinity and the Y is about to enter the same zone. So 3 DBs/Ss/LBs don’t have to move a whole lot to cover a small space. I’m not an X and O guy. So maybe I’m wrong. But I know what I see on a weekly basis. And that’s multiple receivers running in the same general vicinity and defenders crowding those zones. someone brought it up the other day here. When was the last time you saw receivers just wide open and no one around them. Haven’t really seen it since Daboll left. I don’t know what the difference is, but there’s a clear difference and that’s coming from a guy that played 2 months of organized football in his life. If I can see it, DCs can see it. and honestly, it’s not really arguable as our offense has pretty much looked like trash for the last 16 games or so. So right around when everyone figured out what Dorsey was all about. Since then we’ve been trash.

Seriously? I see it like every single game all the time. Like 2 games ago a couple of our receivers took each other out and both fell down in a play. Imo it’s a huge reason why Allen has thrown as many picks and has as many incomplete as he does. He’s throwing into defenses that are stacked on the same side of the field. For the life of me I don’t understand why Dorsey never spread guys out more. With Allen at QB you should be in 4wr sets like every damn play and make the defense try and figure out what you are doing. And just when they think they have everyone covered, Allen should be running. Not sure what’s so hard about the concept

All I know is this. With Dorsey done, I truly hope we don’t see 2 and sometimes 3 receivers all within 5-10 yards of each other downfield. Bumping into each other. Tripping over each other. Telegraphing to the defense that you only need to cover one half of the field. biggest issue since Dorsey took over IMO. With Daboll and other good offenses I see all over the league. You have guys that are just wide open. Good players. Bad players. Fast players. Slow players. It’s route/play design and something I thought Dorsey was terrible at. Hopefully Brady sees this. Or hopefully Josh and Steff and some of the other guys can point it out and have it changed.

If things fall through and I cannot sell them. I will keep you in mind. Might be a last minute thing though. Not knowing until Sunday morning. If this works though.

This is what it’s all about. Mcdummy getting his wish list ready and handing it over to Beane and telling him that’s what he needs to be competitive in this league. Just saying we have no idea how things will play out yet with draft order. Either of chicagos picks could be top 3. But with the way things are going this season they could be out of the top 5 just as easily. Your assessment of the other teams seems right but I’d say that any team with a new HC, or a HC on the hot seat may not be making moves that you might normally see. For example, if Belicheck gets the boot (highly unlikely imo) I could see a new coach coming in and not caring about what the “experts” say and just drafts a guy at QB and doesn’t risk playing games with trading back. Same thing goes for Belicheck if he’s still here. It’s obvious he’s missed on Jones. If he’s feeling any kind of heat and he even thinks there’s a guy that he wants at QB he might not take the chance of trading back and picking him up later. I think the Rams with Puca Nacua now might be changing the thought they need a WR. of the Bucs resign Evans I’m not sure I see them going that route. And let’s be honest. The Packers. skins, and Titans are all terrible organizations right now and I’m not sure id bet on them making the right picks at this point. that doesn’t meant that someone won’t be trading up into this spots. It’s almost a guarantee that there will be moves in the top 5 and top 10. One of the reasons I wanted to sell a bunch at the deadline. If we could have gotten a 3 for Davis, pair that with the 3 from Tremaine. We might have enough ammo to get up there for a MHJr if he makes it to 5-7 There’s still plenty of football ahead of us. As well as college. For all we know someone drops off the side of a cliff and falls out of top 5 by draft time. All things are possible. That’s because Mcdummy needs his 18 guy rotation at DL

But take a look at the posters in the past few days that keep popping up in all the threads. It’s not the usual suspects that slob all over McDermotts….. eh hem.

That’s what happens when a sad sack coach like McDermott sucks all your life out of you and wants to mold you into something you aren’t.
