Surprised you don’t like Walker more. He feels like Thomas Jr (lite) to me. im a huge fan of Thomas Jr. and Franklin although I wish he had a little more weight to him. Really like Mitchell and Rice too. Also a huge fan of Tahj Washington in mid-late rounds

You’ve ranked him your #2. Of the ones you’ve went through so far, how do you rank them?

So very sorry to hear this. Thoughts are with you and your family.

Why? We can just hire Flacco next year if Allen goes down. -
List of players under contract and Free Agents in 2024
mrags replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok. Except Elam is definitely faster than both Poyer and Hyde. Their processing ability is definitely better as you said. But that also comes with experience with the position. And the disguises and coverage games we play are also because of that. Because we have 2 safeties that are almost interchangeable with each other. Add in a 3rd safety that has more of an idea what he’s doing at the position. I get the argument. All I’m saying is Elam is definitely more athletic than the safeties we correctly have now. Younger. Faster. And while I’m not saying he is going to be moved to safety. Or should. My argument was the transitioning portion of it. Because of his athleticism, I wonder if it’s as big of an issue as some believe. Thought would add your reply to the response also. Getting it all in one place. -

I think they give him the option for a pay cut also. And imo he’ll take it. Aren’t you a bigger liability if you have these issues at CB? So wouldn’t S be the lesser of 2 evils? -
Why does this team always seem like it's running on fumes?

Based on that we should be a lot better in the playoffs. But we aren’t. -

Yup. I agree. If it’s me that’s what I’m doing. Let’s hope this coaching staff feels the same way. -

Oddly this makes me completely uneasy in my scenario. And would be worried that McClappy would rest his players once the 2nd half hits. -

The bigger question should be. your the bills management: by kickoff you are already confirmed you will be in the playoffs as every perfect scenario has happened. You are locked into the 6th or 7th seed. Do you play Miami with everything you’ve got for the 2 seed? Or do you give your players some rest and prepare for the following week. Most likely again in Miami? -
Well. Unless he’s in the black book and on the lists I guess right.

mrags replied to margolbe's topic in The Stadium Wall
So one guy made it to being a backup only after 3 years and that proves your point? what about Purdy. What about O’Connell. Guys that were drafted as backups. We’re not expected to start in any way shape or form and somehow are killing it and became starters. doesn’t matter the point is, at this point in time, none of those guys are making any real money. They are on rookie contracts and are late round picks or undrafted free agents. Those teams didn’t fork over multiple millions a year for backups. Even if most of them have the cap space for or. Fact is, we don’t have the cap space for it. I feel Having a multi million dollar QB at backups about the same as I do wasting money on guys that only play special teams. Unless you have the cap space and every other position is set, it’s a waste of a roster spot. Again, if Allen goes down for anything other than 4ish games or less, we’re screwed anyway. -
Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

I never blamed anyone for any problems. I simply stated that out of towners coming in for 1-2 games a year should just shut their mouths. They have almost zero opinion to what this stadium should be and what should be happening in and to this city. there really isn’t much anyone can do about the situation as it is. Fwiw I voted for the other guy so I guess I did my best when it comes to taking it up with elected officials. Unfortunately I work for this god aweful state and don’t have an out for at least another 11 years. Until then, I guess I’ll just have to live with the out of towners coming here for 2 weekends a year acting like they’re thoughts on what should be happening in my city should matter. And I complain about things we don’t have because we’ll, we don’t have them. Would have been nice to have a real stadium downtown. Bringing something to our city. Instead we get another useless building other than maybe 20 weekends a year with Bills games, and maybe a few concerts. But again, I have the right to complain about it because well, I freaking live here. I don’t go to other teams stadiums and complain about how things should be there. I simply go and enjoy the game and experience and leave it at that. I’m there once in a year, or maybe even once a lifetime. I’m fully aware that my opinion doesn’t mean crap. thank you for your wing money and helping the city sell our a game twice a year. Your contribution is appreciated. -

Will/Should Von be active vs. the Fish?
mrags replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah I mean the mention of Jonathan is in a joking manner. Realistically. There should just be a 3 man rotation between AJ, Floyd, Groot. Maybe sprinkle a little Lawson in there on obvious run downs. I generally don’t have a need for Jonathan at all. But I’d rather a guy with some fire try and get in there bs a guy that looks like he’s completely packed it in. It’s not just his lack of effectiveness on plays that bothers me about Von. It’s his complete lack of effort that he gives. Just watching him go all out for 2 steps then standing upright when he knows he’s out of the play bothers me more than anything. Looks like he has zero care out there. -
Well. If the nfl truly is scripted and those 2 car crashes of franchises and cities alike are in the SuperBowl and we’re not. Then you can bet your bottom dollar that the Bills will never make it. Might as well give up now.

Thanks for supporting the local motel 6 for the 2 weekends a year that your here. So sorry you had to fork over $6 in tolls for NYS. We understand how it feels. As far as gas money and sales tax in NY you are on your own. We didn’t ask you to come here for the games. I could say we don’t need you for the games either. But the fact is we do because we have a hard time selling the stadium out especially in the late fall and winter when the weather isn’t very good. You didn’t mention anything about the mooching off other people’s tailgates so I’m assuming I hit the nail there. And I’m sorry you had to pay triple face value for tickets to the game. But if you had seasons of your own and came up more than twice a year you wouldn’t have to do that. The unfortunate thing for your future is that the prices of everything is only going to go up even more with the new stadium. I wish you the best of luck in your future. Please keep coming and leaving your broken tables in the parking lots tho. It’s something we Buffalonians are very proud of. -

I don’t recall Miller doing anything of worth in any game this season. Think I’ve heard his name twice all year. Pretty terrible if you ask me. -
So how are we feeling about Coach McDermott?
mrags replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand you won’t find one. I’d sure like one that doesn’t continue to make the same mistakes with clock management. Timeouts. Challanges. And on field decisions like the Philly debacle. The fact that you were in the exact position on the opposite side of the ball in what was your worst blunder of your career. And you didn’t even give your team and your Superman QB a chance to do the same. Tells me everything that I need to know about him. He’s a conservative coach that is defense minded and doesn’t like to take any chances whatsoever. At that point his season was all but on the line. The other day the Lions went for 2 multiple times to win the game and win the better seed. They didn’t get it but they should have. It’s coaching like that, that I want for this team. Not some scared little turtle tucking his tail inside. -

mrags replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve been very vocal about the fact I think McD is a decent coach but nothing special. And he has made multiple screw ups this year. There’s the kneel down decision in the game that went to OT that there was more than .13 sec left. So despite having .13 done to him, he had zero faith in his Alien QB to do the same. We lost that game. Eagles if I remember correctly. Then there was the bitching of the Broncos game. Then his defense went full stupid against multiple teams and either allowed them to score with no time left like the Pats, but almost lost other multiple games in the process. You say things like “it was a screw up, and if he does things like that again he should be fired on the spot” but you don’t believe that. If you did, he wouldn’t be here right now. He constantly makes the same mistakes and never learns from them. His terrible clock management and horrible use of challanges and timeouts should get him fired alone.
