Should have taken your shot at the 40.

After yesterday who is your WR pick at 28?
mrags replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the FO is really hitching to the Justin Shorter cart, expecting him to come in and be good right away we are more screwed than I thought. if Harty is anywhere near this team next season we’re just as screwed. and taking ANOTHER slot WR and trying to get them all on the field is another mistake. And I don’t necessarily think Ladd is only a slot, but it seems everyone else does, so I’ll just take everyone’s word for it. No thanks. If we take him at 28 and any other guys named Franklin, Thomas, Mitchell, Legette are in the board, just shoot me now. Can’t believe I’ll be watching this crap again next season. If none of them are there, trade back or take the best defensive linemen there and try and get someone like Walker or Polk in the 2nd round. Or a trade back up to the early, mid 2nd for Worthy if he lasts that long. Of your going to go with speed and a guy that can get open, at least make it the fastest guy you can get. That’s where I’m at. Have higher expectations on Legette after this weekend. Mitchell. And Dez Walker who I expected would test through the roof this weekend. Looks like he’ll be a late 2nd to early 3rd round guy now. Maybe even higher if what some people expect actually happens and there’s a historical run on WRs in the first round with more than 6 coming off the board. -

It would break the record and I don’t see that happening. And if it does, then I guess we’ll just have to take one of the defensive linemen that fell it’s kind of Mcdermots hope anyway Friendly bet -

I don’t believe all will be gone. There won’t be 7+ WRs taken in the first rd -

He’s still lighter than most of the females interviewing him. It’s not a good recipe to expect that he won’t have serious injury problems in the league. With that said I’m taking a flier in him but not at 28 -

Thomas jr Mitchell Legette Worthy Franklin im probably making a hard stand at Mitchell in the first round. Anything after that I am reading back to the early 2nd and grabbing one of the other 3 -
What realistic Free Agents are on your wishlist for the Bills?
mrags replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
All I know is I don’t want them to resign Gabe, Jones, Settle, Ford, Epenesa. AJ will want too much and in our cap situation we can get the same out of a vet min guy. Ford did absolutely nothing all year Settle did absolutely nothing for 2 years Jones I like but not at the age or the amount they would need to pay him to come back. Would rather get 2 of the largest DTs in the draft and roll with it this season. Miller really screwed up our chances of being able to sign our own and now we’re really paying for it. -
He was such a cry baby. I had a friend that personally knew one of the trainers. He told my buddy that he was a huge baby about everything. Stuff where other players would play through it, but he refused.

And he was hurt ever since

In light of today’s combine numbers I made some changes. Multiple trade backs. Like 2-5 slots every time. Wanted Mitchell after the first trade back but he was taken right before me. So I kept trading back for more picks. I have such a crush on Sweat I can’t not try for him. I had to give up next years 2nd and 6th but got back a 3rd and 4th for next year so I’m pleased with it. 41. T'Vondre SweatDT Texas 44. Xavier WorthyWR Texas 65. Cole BishopS Utah 88. I think this is likely as well. But only if their guy is still there and around what pick. If it’s pick 24 and Thomas or Mitchell (whoever their guy is) is still there then you make a move. If it’s looking like those guys are gone by 20, you may have to give up too much to get there.

Something wrong with these times. Jawhar Jordan does not look nearly that slow on tape.

Anyone like me wanting Beane to hurry up? (Cap)
mrags replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah I don’t see Beane and/or McDermott being guilty of this. In fact I think they’ve made too many splashes. Specifically Von. But more than anything they’ve made moves in the wrong direction imo. I will always come back to Allen is not just the best QB this franchise has ever had, but ever will. And it’s a crime to not replenish his weapons always -

I’m not saying it’s the ideal way to do business. I’m saying it’s likely what we’re going to do this year. We are over the cap at this point and I believe we’ll be under enough at the time to make some signings, I don’t expect them to go big. Also, like you said, we are good now. We have Allen now. We have Diggs now. We can afford to take some more average players and hope this coaching staff can get their best out of them. It drove me insane too when it used to happen. Not right now we need a real infusion of young talent and that needs to come from the draft and FAs that were recently released or never caught on with teams but have some real upside and could be something in a new place. Picking up Hamler at WR is exactly the type of move im speaking of. It will be more moves like this imo. -
I don’t really know anything about next years draft. But we’ll probably need it. I’m sure we’ll have a lack of a pass rush again and McDefense will feel the urge to jump up to the top 10 for a pass rusher. Honestly, I’d be ok with it. But would also have thought about trading that 1st next year for more picks this year. Keeping as many picks in the top 100 as possible. But like I said, I don’t know anything about next years draft.
-
Would do it in a heartbeat. What did you have to give up to get the 48 and 89 picks? Do you still have the 1st next year? What other picks did you have this year?

I imagine it’s all going to happen almost at once. Like bang bang bang. For 3-4 straight days you will see updates of cuts, restructures, extensions. It will likely all happen before the tampering period starts but if I were a betting man, I’d bet against them going after any player in the first few days of free agency. My bet is they wait it out and look to not overpay for the high price, higher profile players. JMO -
Like I said when I started. My opinion is that they will go extremely defense heavy. Including passing up on multiple WRs in the first 2-3 rounds. Only to find another Gabe Davis (good enough for now) player. I guess we’ll see in a few months
-
I’m sure McBeane will be happy your sticking up for them in this time of need
-
Ok. Keep thinking that. McDefense will always get what he wants
