You're Welcome - what did you do to help tonight?

I continue to talk crap about the HC and question everything he’s ever done. And that is why they are winning. He has this burning desire to make me look like an ass -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Yeah I’d still rather employ WRs to catch the ball. -

Keon was basically a 1st round pick. Do we feel he demands more playing time or more targets? -

Well, that’s where I would say to draft more WRs so that you hope to find them on rookie deals. And just like this team seems to do with RBs. Keep drafting them and let them walk as their contract expires. and I really don’t care how “elite” any WR is at blocking. I think that’s a terrible way to plan your offense. But hey, seems to be working right now not much I can say. But I will say I’d feel a lot better about having a very good WR in a shootout against a team like KC like we’ve been in every single year in the playoffs, vs a guy that blocks well. -

Might not be but it’s pretty much been an argument ongoing for at least half of this 120 page thread -

All this can be true and even more so with better WRs. Just because we are “better” as a whole on offense doesn’t mean we wouldn’t be even better if we had a stud WR. and that doesn’t mean we need a head case like Diggs or a ball hungry player like Chase. You guys do know that some WRs are just good and don’t have to be those things right. -

How could you not be better with a top tier WR? and im not arguing about Diggs. He needed to go. Don’t deny it. But that argument doesn’t mean that a better WR than Mack Hollins wouldn’t be a good thing. -

Yup. Been saying this for a few years. I go beyond just in the world. I say the best ever. That doesn’t mean he’s as accomplished as others. Of course nobody will probably ever top Brady’s accomplishments. But Allen is just a man playing with kids. -

Yeah probably most of the stuff being complete but some details, finishing touches -
I’ve had issues with selling tix on the app since just before week 1. They did some kind of update and between the bills app and the link with Tm there’s been an issue. Had to take a loss on mine.

Yeah I’ve got a buddy that used to be pretty high up at Turner in the area. He used to work on everything in the area. Wish he was still there as I’d have more inside info. -

Would you be able to work “inside” on certain parts of the stadium though? For example, if the risers aren’t all installed but let’s say the entire north and west side are complete, wouldn’t the crews be able to start in those areas in the meantime? I have no idea, just wondering if that’s possible. Yup. Compared to real cities, 100% -

Again. Maybe that’s what he was talking about. Like I said I’m not sure. And I didn’t take it as gospel. But now I’m hearing similar things from 3 people (including you and @noacls). So either it is true. Or just some rumor going around. -

I’m sure there is some things that can be done under cover while the weather turns. What that would be I have no idea. Maybe @SoCal Deek is the better person to ask. Anyway, that was just my assumption. point is, my buddy said he heard from someone in the know that they were months behind. As I said, I personally didn’t believe it. But he swears by it. I think this might be what my friend was referring to. Or something about parts/pieces of foundation or something that is built offsite and shipped in and they were not correct. Again, idk. I’m not swearing by it, just giving the scoop on what I heard. -

Coming from a friend of mine, he knows someone involved. Says they were very behind schedule. Like months behind. personally I don’t believe that. It seems like they are getting a ton done quickly. Every time I see the site it looks more and more like a stadium. but I’ll say this, they were probably hoping to be done with a lot of the outdoor stuff so they could be working inside this winter while the weather is not the greatest. Maybe that’s why there’s sizable crews working even on Sundays during the game. -

The reasons for why we think these things are the argument. But you’ve lured me into just trying to express my point that the Bills wouldn’t be here in 30 years. But even if they were, it doesn’t take away from the fact that Buffalo continues to make mistake after mistake when it comes to its prosperity, or lack of. Which is the whole argument that I was discussing to begin with. -

I used to make this argument about Buffalo as well. About the surrounding areas. The towns combined. As if other cities don’t have that also. It’s a comical argument. “they like the feel of the smallest big city or the biggest small town” Thinks Small, Be Small at its finest. and you are 100% wrong. If there is an nfl in 30 years, there is almost zero chance that it keeps the Bills once the lease is up. At least if things continue as they are within the western New York area. I’d bet money it won’t even take that long. The southern Ontario mention is the best thing you said. If we wanted to ensure a team within distance to claim as our own, Toronto was the best place for them in the long term. -

The argument is comparing Atlanta to what Buffalo could have been if the right decisions had been made for the last 50 years. No, Buffalo doesn’t have the pull of Fortune 500 companies. But with the decisions being made, it never will. That’s the point. Building a stadium alone will not change that. Key word is alone. Again, the think small, be small decisions continue to rule over what you call “this beautiful city”. Atlanta didn’t pop up overnight. Just as much as Buffalo didn’t die over night. At one point Buffalo was one of the 10th largest cities in the US. Home to Millionaires Row. Back in those days, Buffalo was everything and more than what we consider a Fortune 500 city. yes, Buffalo is a lot better off than it was 30 years ago. But it is still declined in population from what it was 30 years ago. As far away as it may seem, back when the Bills were getting their start, Buffalo was still a top 15-20 populated city in the US. And when they moved to OP in 1973 the population had dropped over 20% since then. It’s not the fact that the stadium had moved that caused the decrease in population, this is true. But along with everything else, businesses were leaving the area. Along with that, jobs, opportunities, and a reason for staying for many other businesses. It’s a trickle down effect. yes, you are correct that people complaining about this city when they don’t live here is outrageous. Just as outrageous as people that don’t live here but they attend 8 games a year and tell us that the stadium should stay in OP because it will affect their tailgating experience. That is the biggest joke I’ve ever heard and it has been loud and clear from many since this whole thing started. for me, I’ve lived in Amherst, Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, Downtown Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Lancaster. I’ve also lived in Las Vegas back when there was 1.5m people living there. Now it’s home to 3m people just 20 years later. They didn’t get that way because they made bad decisions. They invested in their city. Yes there is much more to do there than Buffalo. But there wasn’t always. The city is Las Vegas is an infant compared to Buffalos history. Yet in its short life it has prospered. So again with the point that has been made many times. Think small, be small. At some point, this city will emerge from the cellars of nothingness, or it will continue to be a small town with a small town feel. And that’s fine, but then we shouldn’t expect things like the Bills to stay forever. If the city of Buffalo and its surrounding areas continue to lack investment, you will not see the Bills here after their 30 year lease is up, if it even takes that long. At that point we will all be asking ourselves what could we have done to keep them. Well, think small, be small. -

Yeah and all of Amherst was fields and marshes as well. Just because the McKinley Mall and Quaker Crossing is in existence doesn’t mean that it was because of the stadium. Tell me how busy Transit road was north of the 90 at that time while you’re at it. Now it’s the busiest route in all of Western Ny almost every single day. -

Niagara Falls goes on for miles. From Buffalo all the way to Niagara Falls lol. And it’s busy and packed all the way. McKinley Mall and Quaker Crossing area cover what? 2 miles? That’s funny dude. And let’s not mention the fact that the McKinley mall is a failure. It’s closing its doors. Every business is moving out. Thank you. Exactly my point. And as @PromoTheRobot stated. Buffalo… Think small, be small. -

Everything you just talked about in Atlanta, and I’ve never been so I cannot confirm is 100% correct. You just talked about a half a dozen hotels in walking distance, the building of a few more as well. Then add in bars and restaurants and other retail. What was the Harbor Center downtown before Pegula came here? There was no Ralph Wilson Children’s Museum, there was no Harbor Center. No 716 or whatever the hell it is called now. Since Pegula bought the Sabres the area has added all that. Plus a Hotel, plus a skating rink. Multiple concerts every year. Multiple breweries and restaurants and bars have emerged. The Commercial Slip/naval park area has grown. There’s been plenty. and just as all that is true, the same would be true if a new stadium was built downtown. The point of semantics is a different argument altogether. You talk of use 365 days a year. You want to know where there is no use 365 days a year? The middle of Orchard Park. people would complain about the cost no matter what. As you pointed out they are now anyway. So why not have made it worth while. And do some good where it might make a difference. Many will argue that a stadium downtown wouldn’t make a difference, wouldn’t help the area at all. That may be true, we will never know. But you want to know something that is certain? Is that a new stadium in Orchard Park will NEVER make a difference. We’ve had one there for 50 years and all it’s done is sprouted up a few dumpy bars and restaurants that get used 12 times a year if we’re lucky.
