Again, not the point. Overpaying for a guy that will contribute almost nothing is taking money away from someone that might actually be able to do something. Again, the would you rather argument from last year would you rather have -Deonte Harty -Trent Sherfield -Tyler Matakevich or -Deandre Hopkins -2 rookie guys that contributed the same as Sherfield and Matakevich at less than half the cost. what your not getting is that the cost of both groups is roughly the same. And Hollins is a guy that fits into that first group. I’m not going to ask a hypothetical this season because we don’t know how things will play out yet with FA WRs, or any other position for that matter. But the point is the point. Last year we signed group A when we easily could have had group B for the same money. And that’s the issue.

Pretty sure we’re talking about the same Kirk Cousins here. He’s nothing special. They’ll be just fine
-
Oh look. You’re back to play. Providing nothing to the argument as usual. Just expressing your dislike for me and my opinion. Oh my god, I’m so upset, Royal on the Bills message board and some other people don’t like me. wait…….. nope, actually it didn’t grow. You don’t do it for me. You can keep trying tho.

He’s the best WR in football. I’m pretty sure they’ll do alright. Along with just about any QB they find that will likely be just as good as Cousins.
-
That’s cute. Are you as cute and witty in real life too? Or just your online teaching fantasies? Hollins is not good. Sherfield and Harty weren’t good either. And everyone talked about them like people are talking about Hollins now. And next year this time we’ll have cut Hollins because he sucked just as bad as his predecessors and here we will be, looking for actual talent at the position again.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
mrags replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
of course you will. You can see the top of the lights from the 219 and the new one will be taller. Why wouldn’t you? It’s only set back about 1-200 yards more than the current stadium -
We may be arguing different things here. You thought he said he was a gay? I was under the assumption that he thought he was stupid. Or maybe I am stupid and don’t get the joke. Thats just the play that we only had 10 guys out there on the Damar (make a wish play) Hamlin fake punt. They figured, might as well use our extra guy to make sure the only special teamer on Buffalo that was worth a crap couldn’t do anything that play.
-
Yup. They’ll draft a young QB on a rookie pay scale and use that money for JJ. By the time the rookie needs a new contract JJ will be on the downward slope and things will work out naturally.

You need proof that a below average football player has a below average IQ?
-
Same with backup WRs actually playing their positions. Or LBs. Tyler Matakevich made millions off never doing anything on the football field. Pretty sure McDermott kept him around because he needed another ginger to go over his world domination plans with. Souless heathens.

Isaiah Hodgins Expected to Be Non-Tendered as RFA

The would have felt much better paying Hodgins 2-3m than that useless blocker Hollins. -

I love how at the end they zone into downtown Buffalo, where the stadium should have been -
Ok. With this HC and his love for his notational DEs I’m not so sure. Hope I’m wrong. I’ll be the first to admit I was wrong this time. And I’ll be praising them that they FINALLY drafted an early WR for Allen. Until then I’ll have my doubts.

I’m actually not interested in MW. Or trading for Higgins. But the availability would we nice. But we have none because we waste money and roster spots on guys that don’t do anything well. There’s no real list of players right now that are vet min vs rookie min. We let go of most of them from last year. But that doesn’t mean Beane won’t make the same mistakes this year. and yes, I believe Jones and his 32 year old injury riddled chest will not live up to his contract. And I don’t think AJ Epenessa and his disappearing act will ever live up to his contract. Neither should have been resigned. We were good enough with them, we weren’t good enough when they were missing or hurt and had to replace them with other jags. But somehow Beane thought it was best to resign them and prove that he is the definition on insanity by continuing to do the same things over and over and expect different result. itll all work out this time tho. Ugh.

Besides the point.
-
Because he’s an idiot. He has no offensive identity. We haven’t had one since Daboll left
-
Don’t forget to add in Hollins in there. Dude is gonna be a beast at keeping the bench warm. Oh wait, forgot, McD loves to get WRs out there to block and not catch balls, so he’ll probably get more playing time than Diggs
-
Oh, he’ll find a way.
-
If we didn’t waste $2m on like 8 different useless players we might have enough money to sign someone like MW.
-
Might as well give up SBF. These people won’t ever get it. Or they’re too stubborn to admit it. End of the day, we’ve seen this all before and it hasn’t worked. We’re just continuing the same stupid moves year after year. This year is going to suck. Lots of hope we will win it in total in the division round again. Probably with the same guys hurt that always get hurt (Milano) Same guys missing that always go missing (talking to you AJ Ep), the same guys that underperform (everyone else not named Allen) and get outcoached by any real HC in this league. Yay!!!! We’re doing it. We’re a top team in the league that can’t ever get over the hump. Anything to sell PSLs tho for now.
-
Well, let’s add the $2m from this signing and bunch it with all the other stupid $2m signings they have and see how much we can come up with. I’d be willing to bet that at the end you’d have at least $10-14m you could have spent on a decent FA WR or any other position for that matter. Meanwhile, your special teams suck anyway, just like it did last year, so no loss, no gain. And you give a few undrafted rookie FAs a chance to make the roster. Problem solved.
-
Exactly why they shouldn’t waste what little cap space they have on a guy that provides almost zero impact.
-
At least you understand it. I understand the whole ST argument. I don’t agree with it but I understand it. It’s way overvalued by this team and HC. Even the league is doing its best to rid themselves of the kicking game. And yet we have a fossil at HC that not only refuses to spend resources and money on it, he welcomes it. but yes, my argument could be best summed up in a game of would you rather from last year. would you rather have: -Deonte Harty -Trent Sherfield -Tyler Matakevich or -Deandre Hopkins -2 scrub rookies trying to make a name for themselves on STs in the NFL anyone that would rather have the first group should just give up life now. There’s no hope for you. Not as good as Popeyes
-
In that case why bother paying a guy a penny more than you need to. Back to my argument that you should’ve the 1-2m from each of these vets your signing and pick some FA rookies off the street and pay them half as much. All while saving a million here and a million there. So then, maybe, if a decent vet is there that might actually make a difference, you can sign him to 6-8m. I’d rather have 5 scrubs at rookie minimum and 1 vet that’s decent on a prove it deal than 6 scrub vets that won’t make a difference. That’s just me I guess. Yes. But if you add up Harty and Sherfield money, and maybe the money of 1-2 other guys just like it, you could have had DHop instead of 2 WRs that did absolutely nothing all year. Not to mention guys like Neal, Matakevich, Etc that were terrible on STs anyway so who cares.
