Just when teams were focused on Brady...
mrags replied to ColdBlueNorth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this is true x1,000,000. It's not even funny how fair weather the Pats fans are. You said half of them don't remember who the QB was before Bledsoe??? Haha, I bet at least 30% don't even remember Bledsoe. Your right, when Brady retires, the Pats will be one of the biggest jokes in the league. From a decade or more of being at the top to being one of the lessor teams fighting for mediocracy. -

i agree 100% JBoyst. The league is never ending change and using history as it's proof. The fact is, in the cold, snowy, and ever so brutal playoff time, there are a few things that always ring true. 1. Defenses and run games ALWAYS TRAVEL WELL!!! 2. Be bigger and more physical than the opposing team. The few examples of the quick "no huddle" "greatest show on turf" always seem to be upset by superior defenses. Sure the Rams won one SuperBowl, but then lost the following year to the Pats and their dominating defense. Off the top of my head, here's a few examples where the better defense for the upper hand -Giants over Bills -Redskins over Bills -Steelers over Dallas -Packers over Pats -Ravens over Giants -Bucs over Raiders -Pats over Rams -Pats over Panthers -Giants over Pats x2 -Steelers over Seahawks -Steelers over Cardinals -Ravens over 49ers Those are just off the top of my head. I'm site there's many more. That doesn't mean that the defensive teams that won had Dominating defenses, just that their defense was better than the opposing teams offense. Or at least that Defense wins championships is more correct than people want to admit. I'd assume that the running games coincide with the same as well. Looking at that and the late 90s Denver Championships ring a bell. Terrell Davis was huge in those wins. Same with the Steelers with Jerome Bettis and the Ravens as well. well, this I disagree with. It might not be the fact that Billy is so smart. It could be that his offensive line is horrible at protecting Brady lately. It could be that Brady is getting old and can't do it like he used to. It could be that Hernandez was arrested for murder and Gronk is a porn star banging idiot that can't keep his body healthy because he's out partying too much to get healthy and stay healthy. Or that he just happens to have a few young stud RBs that are the healthiest part of his team right now. His WRs are the worst that Brady has ever had and it shows. Now that's not to say that Bellichek isn't learning from this experience and uses it going forward, but I highly doubt it was his plan the whole time. The situation dictated Billy. -
Players drafted by the Bills that won the Super Bowl

Wasn't Todd Collins a backup for some team that won it? -

I think the Pats are one step ahead of the field again as well. They dictate to the rest of the league how to play them, then they switch it up to their favor. They are very transformable in their offense and how they play. However, of the 3 teams remaining in the NFC, they would have a HUGE issue trying to dictate how the game goes. The NFC teams and defenses are just superior in every way. They are bigger and more physical than the Pats or any of the ad creams remaining. And that's to say that the Pats can even go into Denver and beat the Colts. Or take on the Chargers as well. Of course I don't want to see it happening, but I don't expect them to be in the big game anyway. But I'm sure The Hoody has something left we haven't seen yet for the final playoff game. -
this Based on the stats (brought to our attention by JBoyst) Cam Newton and Andrew Luck both suck and don't deserve to be in the playoffs either. But they are.

OMG bethea. Get that son

I don't think it was a called throwback. I just think Colston is a stupid idiot and has trouble playing the game like he knows what he's doing. Any idiot can be a good football player (just look at Marshawn) but smart players win games. Bree's was into something and Colston ruined it.
-
yup. Not to mention that Colstin went down pretty damn quick in that inside kick return. Looked like he had some room to run a little.
-
How do you not go out of bounds? For about 3 seconds there, I was thinking what an easy shot Bree's would have at a throw from about the 30.
-
What a dumb idiot Colton
-
he was holding his left forearm
-
he would fit Marrones. Good call. Personally, I think the only reason why people are pissed about the Lynch trade is probably one of two reasons. Either they bought into the Beast Mode crap and just went out and bought a jersey and were butthurt. Or they were pissed that should have received more than a 4th rounder. Which is fair IMO. Not saying I'm not happy we got rid of him, but wish we could have gotten at least a 2nd or 3rd for him.
-
What a crap BS injury by Thomas there. He hit his own player with the right hand. Then holds his left like that's the one that's hurt. It's BS.
-
the guy is a bad sneeze away from being banned for an entire season. He's acting right now ever since he got out of Buffalo. He didn't grow up, and he didn't learn from his mistakes. He simply cares now that he's not here. Gives him something to strive for. i think one thing we can both agree on, is hoping the Pats lose tonight.
-
its gonna be Carolina not SF. I'm not arguing just to argue. Just saying it now.
-
The only thing that can make my day now is Tom Brady breaking his leg to end his career.
-
doesnt mean he can't rush the passer from the ILB spot. But I agree, don't fit a square peg Into a round hole.
-
this not sure how well you know your US maps but Seattle is really no where near Oakland.
-
nonsense. I don't agree with that. Crap. I did it again.
-
awesome. Can we be friends again now?
-
whats pathetic is you caring what I wish misfortune on. And what about the feelings towards that poor Canadian that got ran over on Chippewa? You don't think she deserves justice? A drunk thug that ran from the scene and his inside his house for a day so that he couldn't be arrested? How about whatever gang member he was about to get even against while he was getting high in his car with a loaded weapon and staking out a place in Oakland with his boys in the car. He's not a Saint (pun intended) and deserves to have his career ended. But Percy Harvin will take the fall for him today. He might not make it out of this game alive.
-
careful, you and I may be burned at the stake for even thinking this.
-
the only thing I can think of, is switching back to the 3-4 full time. Having Kiko and Mack inside with Mario at OLB and switching between Hughes and Lawson in pass vs run situations. Would then keep Williams on the DL at RDE and Dareus on the DL at LDE and Bryant inside at DT. Would be pretty solid actually.

I hate lynch so much. I hope he gets his leg broken Permanently in this game and can never play again

Andre Reed Elected into the Pro Football HOF
mrags replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the stats broken up year over year as well as the comparisons hold so much weight. Andre wasn't feared. The Bills offense was. What's funny is how much his stat line and okay ability is like Stevie's.
