  1. The biggest issue is we don’t know what the PSL costs are of the lower bowls with the “average joes”. For all we know it’s a 2-4k PSL and people have been getting all worked up over 15k PSLs for nothing.
  2. I didn’t put much into it. The article seemed more about the mismanagement of how the Sabres were being ran than anything. I don’t follow hockey or the Sabres at all, just came across the article and found it interesting just a day after it’s announced that they are looking to sell 25% of the Bills too.
  3. I don’t follow hockey, nor do I really care. And this probably deserves its own link but it’s a football message board. But I just saw this too. Doesn’t seem like a very in depth article. Take it for what it’s worth. https://www.hockeyfeed.com/nhl-news/reports-that-terry-pegula-has-sold-the-buffalo-sabres?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0BMQABHfpcAM43k638WwUaIRx2UIqVmRtqcTjjE5fVYM8S9vXCg2tgZXCI76aRuA_aem_AR5ncLc5TMUqpVukKA7jhqeeI1NqAyjh-ec23R9wTqOrPWqT6EwJmgDUI5EdO6bUJYI
  4. You have to go to the Philippines for that sort of thing
  5. Well, we sure know it’s not the guy in the middle
  6. There’s also no reason to think we won’t pick up a dozen undrafted rookies as well as another half dozen or more vets on minimum deals that also might not make the 53. my point is that the 90 bodies to camp argument is dumb. They can find anyone off the street to come in and be a camp body. They aren’t going to count against the cap, and they aren’t going to make the final roster anyway. Sure, maybe 3 out of the 40 might make it, but that’s nothing special. we need elite talent in this team, not 4 extra 5th rounders that have a shot in camp but never make the final roster anyway.
  7. I agree on that. But I still think Odunze and Nabors will be clearly better than most of this class. I’m not sold on MHJ actually. And of course a lot has to do with where guys get drafted, their situations, their teams, their QBs, their coaches. Someone will do a lot better in Buffalo than they would on Vegas for example imo.
  8. I thought a ridiculous trade 25 years ago was also a bit dumb. I get the point. But you made a better one. The Mahomes trade really sticks out to me here. 27th overall, a 3rd, and a first the next year. Not sure if the trade chart has changed that much since 2017 or not but if that’s still the going rate that’s an easy yay for me if Odunze makes it to 10 or in that range. And I get we don’t have a 3rd this year, so maybe 1st this year, 2nd this year, and then you could possibly get away with a 2nd and something else next year. I don’t follow the charts and I’m not about to. So many deals get done on draft day there’s no guarantee everyone follows those charts. And if the pros are right that there are only so many draftable guys in this draft, it would make sense to get one of the best ones. JMO.
  9. Another way to look at it was a new tech that nobody has really really tried yet. If it worked we wouldn’t be complaining about it. From what I hear from people is they preferred those to what we have now. But I’m guessing that’s all opinion.
  10. 100% on everything here. 1. It’s lying game season for sure. Doesn’t mean it’s going to happen but it doesn’t mean it’s not. 2. I think of certain things happen that aren’t expected you could see them make a trade up. Sure I don’t see them trading up to 7 to get a guy, but if Odunze or Nabors falls out of the top 10 I could see them scrambling for a move. Same goes for Thomas Jr. if he makes it to the late teens I could totally see them making a deal there.
  11. I think getting one of the top 3 around 9-11 is doable with pick 28, next years 1st (we now have 2x2nds next year and one of them will be fairly early) and likely a little more ammo. Throw one of them in maybe, or some other picks this year. or move up to the middle teens for Thomas who Imo should be looked at as part of that top 4 group. of that’s not an option, I’d rather get someone like Worthy who may not be overall great but at least he’s got legendary speed to build off of. There’s plenty of options. regardless, 5th and 6th rd picks aren’t making this team most likely. And honestly, anyone in rd 6 you could just as easily find in the undrafted market after the draft. There’s always a mad dash the minute the draft is over. I’m willing to bet Beane signs about 10+ guys within the first 24 hours after the draft is complete. They will be JAGs and guys that will be there for the “90” that come to camp. But in the end they won’t make the team and it won’t matter.
  12. Can we actually try and get some elite talent for once? Is it really hard to realize we don’t have very good to great players on this team. We’ve got a team of average to good guys. It’s just not enough to move the needle. We need great guys to beat teams like the Chiefs. we have Allen. And without him we’d be a 5-6 win team every year. Let’s get some actual players to help him for once.
  13. Looking at this list, the one thing that really comes to mind is how many people wanted Lavishka Shanault and boy he is just not good.
  14. According to our rep when we went on the tour of the clubs a few years ago they told us that the company that did them went out of business and that’s why they scraped trying to fix them and went with the radiant heaters. I’m not saying what you said was wrong. I’m assuming it’s correct. Just relaying that the company most have been so terrible at what they did that they went out of business.
  15. Well. I don’t know if he is or not. Of course. I’m just spitballing and throwing some ideas out there as to why we haven’t signed him yet. For all we know he doesn’t want to risk his health at this point.
  16. I have said before. I’m all for going with Worthy with the first pick. Westerners at 28 or a trade back. Love his speed. But hoping if they decide that, they double dip fairly early and try and get a bigger bodied WR to go with him. Legette in the 2nd (maybe with a trade up) Polk, Burton, Baker, Rice, Coleman, McMillan, Walker, McCaffrey
  17. You really think that Burton and his talent (off field issues aside) that he wouldn’t be above guys like Hollins or Shorter on this team? The kid has some serious talent. He will be a player in this league not some backup Joe assuming he gets his head on straight.
  18. Tell them you watch the draft from start to end in this house. If you don’t like it, find a hotel. Oh, and no talking and don’t eat all my pizza either. Imperial Pizza ain’t cheap
  19. Because maybe he’s debating in if he wants to actually risk coming back or not. Maybe Beane has a number in place what we can afford to pay to Hyde and are allowing Hyde to look on the open market for more and if he doesn’t find it, he’s always available to come back at the rate we’re offering.
  20. Love Thomas. Could easily be one of the top 3 imo. Could I put him there and take one of the others out and I don’t think it makes any difference really. I’d be all for a move up to 10ish for one of the top 3. Around the 15-18 mark for Thomas. After that I’d stay where we’re at and go with one of the following, Worthy, Mitchell, Franklin. If there’s a trade down for extra picks and none of those guys are there I’m all for Polk, Legette, McConkey.
  21. I think IF he continues to play, he’s got a deal in place with Beane that he will be a Bill. Honestly, I hope it’s for a backup role as I worry for his health going forward. He probably shouldn’t be playing anymore. But if he wants to play backup/3S specialist, he hole helping these young kids we have at the position I wouldn’t complain. Hopefully get this guy a ring. He deserves it more than just about anyone on the team.
  22. So, you’re in or not at this point? We need to know how cheap you really are
  23. Bah. Been there twice in the last 10 years. I’m over it
  24. Yeah we knew you were cheap
  25. I’m a Hard no because I would never get rid of Josh. But in actuality it probably makes for a great deal. could trade the 1 pick likely to many teams for multiple first rd picks. Even some team in the top 10 would give up their 1st, 2nd, and at least next years 1st. It’s possible you could come away with 2 of the top 3 WRs, in rookie deals, with 5th year options. Could still get some of the top positions in the draft at any other positions in rd2. And could walk away with at least 3 first round picks next year. i admittedly haven’t researched any QBs in this draft to know who’s really good or not. But I can tell you for a fact, that I would not pick Williams. I think he’s a head case and will end up being a problem at the very least because of it. That juice is not worth the squeeze if you ask me. Personally I think he’ll be a bust. So if you had the #1 pick, and he was on the board I would likely trade back for extra picks and look to the top QB next year. Still probably grabbing one in rd 2 this year, with some of those extra picks. in theory it makes a ton of sense
