  1. It means we still have a shot to get I to the playoffs. On the other hand, if we don't make the cut, how bad are we!??
  2. thank you for this. And I don't see how anyone can be upset with his pay. He's making about what's commensurate with his abilities. Sure he's above a few guys on this list, he's also below a few he shouldn't be. After factoring in 1 year deals (like Anquan Boldin) and rookie deals (like Julio Jones) he's probably right around where he should be. http://overthecap.com/top-player-salaries.php?Position=WR
  3. The Boston Red Sox, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs all disagree with your statement. There would be nothing wrong with keeping the Ralph and upgrading it even more. There's plenty of space to build onto the existing structure. Hell, they are doing that this season. Maybe we should all wait until we see how the changes this year look before we make the decisions. A stadium is a stadium. As long as it's structurally sound, why bother with it? I'll give you a downtown stadium would be key to revitalizing downtown, but it's not exactly an easy fix. Your not only talking about building a new stadium, your talking about mass transit in and out of the stadium, not just our one way in "subway" from "almost downtown to downtown". It will cost a ton of money to do this. Something that many fans aren't willing to buck up in taxes or PSLs.
  4. ok. This is where I'm completely confused. Can someone just post his real actual cap hit every year because in this thread alone we've seen his salary range from 7 million to almost 9 million. And it's only a few pages.
  5. i won't disagree with yiu completely. You make a ton of sense. But you can't sit there and say with a straight face that the biggest players in any defensive line are not to take up space and stop the run. Yes it's true that in some defenses that the DTs are more about penetration and pressure in the QB vs clogging up running lanes. But that's hardly their only job. Kyle is a hit or miss player. He gets many sacks for his position and that is why he's a pro bowler. But nobody would be picking him as a big run stuffing DT in any defense.
  6. I'd take that deal in a heartbeat
  7. you make me feel so special ;-)
  8. As can I cat. I acknowledge his shortcomings. I just think many blow them out of proportion.
  9. are you pleading ignorant to his "pros"?
  10. still waiting for real "cons" as to why we should get rid of our best receiver. Yawn!!!
  11. I'm interested. Same as Ryan, PM me the rules and regulations. Who's stepping down?
  12. yay!!! Someone agrees with me and my crusade. They are the best ever. Get a grip dude
  13. ill double up on this.
  14. I'm not sure what Roger Goodell has to do with any of it? Scumbag rapers, murderers, and thugs. It's not like Roger birthed them.
  15. no idea. Probably depends in how much of a malcontent Suh is in Detroit and if they need to move him or he becomes a problem. Either way, although I'd love it if it happened, I don't see it happening. Blockbuster trades like this don't happen.
  16. your pretty new around here so you probably don't understand my dislike for Kyle Williams. He's a good player, but not a good DT. IMO, even in the most "Tampa 2ish" defense possible where the DT is supposed to pressure the QB he's still supposed to be able to stop the run. I'll hold right into the fact that we have had some of the worst run defenses in the NFL in years and he's the only constant on that defensive line. I don't know how to differentiate between players who's assignments are whose and what not because I don't know defensive linemen that well. But one thing I do know is that a DT is there to take up blockers and clog the running lanes and our running defense is horrible and he's a constant. It I would not knock that trade or defensive line. Personally, I'd move Kyle to LE, Mario to RE, and have Dareus and Suh in at DT.
  17. all you Stevie haters can come up with is "Chokes when it counts" it's already been stated that Stevie "is not clutch" which many here wouldn't disagree with. Even the supporters. Hell, I'm a huge Stevie fan and I understand he's not a guy that's going to always grab that last second TD to win the game (excluding Carolina obviously). Your crusade is comical. Trade or cut, not only best receiver on this team, but the best one we have had in over a decade. Where is the logic in that? Why??? Because he broke your heart 3 times in the last few years? Pittsburgh, New England (not really his fault, horrible throw), and Atlanta (yet nobody wants to decapitate Chandler for what he did). The fact is, against Atlanta, the guy was trying to make a play to win the game. He fumbled it. Chit happens. Get over it. It happens all the time. Adrian Peterson fumbled a few years ago in a playoff game that turned into a direct loss, would you trade him if he was in your team too??! The haters (like yourself) always say the same things... "All you Stevie lovers can do is bring up how he lives Buffalo and is a good guy, come up with some real reasons why we should keep him" How about: -he's the only Receiver the Bills have ever had that has produced 3 straight 1,000 yard seasons. A feat not matched by Hall of Famers Andre Reed and James Lofton, or an even better Receiver in Eric Moulds. -hes the only receiver to catch 10 TD passes donning a Bills uniform since Mould in 2002 and before that Reed in 1991. Over 10 years and 20 years!!! -3 years out of 5 where he has received just over or just under 80 receptions. 82, 76, 79. -in just 5 years (2 of which he didn't even get on the field) he's accumulated 28 TDs which happens to be more than Half of Moulds (48 in 10 seasons) and almost a 3rd of Reeds (86 in 15 seasons). So in 5 years, he's on pace to match 2 of the best receivers the Bills have ever had (one of which is a HOFer). And 2 of his 5 years he rode the bench. Yeah, makes sense. But let's go deeper than us "Stevie Lovers" and the only pros we can come up with. All the "haters" can ever say about him is things like: -he's not clutch, I disagree, anyone here remember Carolina this seasons? How about Cincinnati a few years ago when he scored 3 TDs in one game? -he drops easy passes, Doesn't every player? Hell, I've seen Megatron and Desean Jackson both drop easy TDs because they were showboating too early and threw the ball away before they reached the goal line, or established the catch. I've got news for you, in the NFL, there's no such thing as an easy catch. That's why it's the NFL. If it was easy, you'd be out there catching passes from EJ in September. -he gets open but drops it when it counts, See answer above about easy passes -he fumbles, Yeah, so? Other guys don't? I'd bet if we did a search around the league for dropped passes and fumbled balls, Stevie is not even in the top 30 in the league. -he wasn't missed when he was injured this year, Really? Because we lost many games that he wasn't in. We specific won 1 game that he was in (Carolina) and lost one that he was in (Atlanta) but some could out just as much blame in Chandler but don't. The fact is, your butthurt that he dropped a catch that could have led to a win that you could have gloated about over the guy that sits next to your cubicle at work that is a huge Steelers, New England, Jets, Falcons fan. The fact is that he is the best receiver this team has seen since Moulds or Reed. The Fact is that he was a 7th round draft pick. Don't hate Stevie because he's not Calvin Johnson. No one ever said he was. You know who's comparable to Calvin Johnson? Moss, Owens. And both of them are first ballot Hall of Famers. But let's throw the baby out with the bath water because he's dropped a couple poorly thrown balls by guys like Trent Edwards, JP Losman, Ryan Ditzpatrick, and Jeff Tuell. Everytime I think I'm out... They pull me back in! This is it. I'm not responding to anymore Stevie Johnson sucks and should be traded threads. Just keep crusading and enjoy.
  18. damn Those Tattoos. An if he would have spent that time working out lifting weights instead of joking about coffee and cheese, maybe he would have hung on to the ball against Atlanta.
  19. Terribly sorry to hear this. There's nothing any of us could say that will truly make you feel better. Just know that we are all here for you no matter what. Be strong for your kids. As bad as you miss your wife, I'm sure your kids do just as much and will need you to be strong. Not many of us can even think about what your going through, but we will help in any way we can. Listening to your thoughts and worries and offering our advice is the best we can do for now. As for me, thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I'm sure you will be with your soulmate again. Don't believe for one minute that she's gone. She lives on with you and your Children. If you ever need anything, let me know.
  20. except you would have 3 DTs on the same line. When only one of them is actually a good DT
  21. the way the fans of this team want to get rid of every player because they take a penalty or drop a ball at an in-opportune time like it doesn't happen on every team in the league. We want to run good players out of town because they say one wrong thing, or have too many tattoos and spend too much time making commercials. Stevie is a good person and a really good football player. He's not a trouble maker. He doesn't get involved in stories of going out downtown and getting wasted. Has never been arrested. Never said he hated Buffalo or our fans. Never said the team should move to Toronto. Yet people have a personal vendetta against him because he drops a couple balls a year at horrible times. What about all the balls he catches that lead to first downs or more? Catches that he makes to keep a drive alive that ends up in points? Not every #1 WR is Calvin Johnson. I'll say it here for the first time I think over ever said it. Buffalo Bills fans ARE F%#KING IDIOTS!!!! We have been down for so long without a winning team, without good players, that we don't even know what good ones are anymore. Word of advice geniuses.... Stevie is the best WR this team has seen since Eric Moulds and Andre Reed before that. That's one Hall of Famer and another player with even better statistics. But yeah, let's trade him for a 4th rounder because he's dropped 8 balls in the last 3 years that are very easily remembered because of the time they were dropped. God... I hate the offseason. You've all made me miserable again.
  22. sounds like what most people said about Roscoe Parrish and Lee Evans actually
  23. I'm gonna say it. I TRULY HOPE that Stevie gets traded. Not because I think he's bad. Bad for this team. Or overrated. I want Stevie to be traded to a solid team with a serious chance to win a ring and show everyone how good he really is. Stevie on a team like Carolina, New England, or San Fran would be a sure pro bowler. Good riddance Stevie. Good luck making all the idiot fans in Buffalo eat their words.
  24. Wow!!! What a winner
