  1. Wouldn't hurt to bring him in to fight it out in camp. But he's not signing a lowball contract offer to do that. Nor would he be signing a lowball offer to any team that isn't a step away from having rings on their fingers. I'd guess Champ wants to go to a team with a legitimate shot this year at winning a title. Like the 49ers, Etc... And personally, the guy has not aged well. He's older than dirt and is not worth a big contract. So if we could pick him up similarly to how we picked up Leonard last year.
  2. I would have paid that in a heartbeat. Then with the other 30m we offered to Byrd, and go and get Spikes. And we would have an awesome run stopping LB core.
  3. Make yiu say hello to Montgomery Brewster for us. Maybe Spike Nolan too. Go Bulls Go!!!
  4. Honestly, I wouldn't expect Byrd to say any different. Doesn't mean he truly believes that tho.
  5. when Chancellor is up he will probably be the highest paid safety in the league.
  6. as a family, I see it not being practical. I understand your point. Won't argue that. As I said before, I know friends that refuse to go to games even if I give them a free ticket and pay for their tailgating. It's just the way they are. Don't like the atmosphere. And that's fine too. As far as the blackouts go. Your absolutely right. The government or the NFL needs to stand up and grow a pair. Personally, with tickets as much as they are for other teams, there's no reason why they shouldn't televise every game. They have the technology to do it. The cable and satellite companies all want it. Just give it to the fans. The games will sell out regardless anyway. The NFL is such a big product that it doesn't matter anymore.
  7. that was my reasoning. Thought you lived outside the area and were expecting a game in TV because it's a "big deal" to the NFL. Still no excuse to miss any games tho. You could always go if you fear losing a game to blackout. Regarding the blackout issue, another argument all together. Personally, I agree with you. In today's day in media and the NFL, there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to watch every single game. Especially with ticket prices as outrageous as they are across the league. But thems the breaks.
  8. Just got the text. A big FU to Byrd if you ask me. Shows what players get when they are patient and reasonable.
  9. oh, so then you live here in town and still don't go to games??? That's fine if you do to enjoy the atmosphere, but don't complain you can't watch a game then of it's not sold out. If there are tickets available, then you have no excuse to not watch games if they are not on TV.
  10. I recently got in Supernatural. Funny story actually. Was looking online for tattoo ideas regarding Grim Reapers and Death and came to a Supernatural fan site. Ended up reading some cool stuff about the show and now in hooked. Funny how it worked out actually but glad I'm watching.
  11. lol. But if your in my situation, I'm not only paying for the repairs, I still have a payment too. Sorry to jinx ya. Hopefully the work fixes her like new. I put in the final parts of my repairs tomorrow. Hopefully it fixes all my issues.
  12. fwiw, there were playoff games this past season that were either not sold out or were in danger of not selling out. That comeback game in 1993 was a week after they took a bad loss to the same team. Had an injured starting QB, and were without Thurman Thomas. And many thought the team was not as impressive as it was the precious 2 seasons. Not really an excuse IMO. But you can understand the frustration of some at the time.
  13. in the short term, I understand your point. But in the long term... More home games equals more wins. More wins equals better team. Better team equals better ratings. Better ratings equals more Bills games televised. Just saying.
  14. this guy? http://pattygopez.buzznet.com/m/photos/whateverhappened/?id=68102876 Fwiw, I think we take a run on a few of the serious LB FAs this year. McClain, Spikes, and DQwell Jackson. That would instantly be an upgrade over last years defense and our run soft game.
  15. Look for the stadium naming right to be changed with this. Welcome to Gregg Williams Stadium.
  16. You guys kills me here. With all the crap that's been talked about for the past 7 years about this stupid game in Toronto. We finally cancel it (even if it's just guaranteed for 1 year) and everyone wants to argue about it. How bout we enjoy this day. Be happy. Don't be a miserable F%#K and just enjoy the "WIN". I don't give two F#%Ks if they move tomorrow. Today, I'm more excited than I've been in a while for this team. It means they are playing one more game a year in MY home stadium. Regardless of they win or lose, I still get to go and enjoy them one more time this year. That's one more tailgate. One more day enjoying beers with guys like Mead, Gugny, Beerball, and Cletus. And one more day I get to show my support, appreciation, and scream my F#%KING face off for a win. We didn't have that for the last few years. Regardless of we have sucked or not, AS A FAN...I MAKE A DIFFERENCE ON SUNDAY. And this year, I get to make a difference in one more game than I have been in years. Please enjoy this, quit your B#%^HING and just sit back and enjoy a win for once. Jesus, this place makes me want to punch a baby at times.
  17. Personally, I think the Bills will make some huge moves, especially at the LB position. McClain is an I stand upgrade over what we have. I also see us taking a shot at Spikes.
  18. Get ready to call the Ralph, Gregg Williams Stadium.
  19. Browns 6 years 64 million 42 million guaranteed.
  20. we let Levitre walk so we could sign Byrd? Really??? That's your argument? That's what your going with? Show me anywhere that states that is why we let Levitre walk. I'll give you a dollar. Pretty sure we let Levitre walk because he was in the exact same boat Byrd was in. You don't overpay for a position that is not a DE, LT, WR, QB, CB at the top of their games. If you wanted to pay a guard $50m then thank god that your not our GM. And if you think Spiller is worth keeping at any price, then I don't know what to say either. He hasn't shown anything overly spectacular that warrants a high priced contract. And anything he has shown gets negated by his lack of staying healthy or consistent.
  21. i agree that what has happened in the past has proved we don't do things correctly. But you are not looking past the Bills failures in the past. The fact is, all NFL teams lose free agents. It happens. Some of them are huge names and have better games than Byrd. Mario Williams and Julius Peppers are huge examples of that. I agree that at some point you have to keep your talent. And we are under the cap and why wouldn't you pay for arguably the best player you have in your team. But arguments could easily be made that you don't pay $10m+ for a safety. Most teams wouldn't even think about it. Because of the leverage with the franchise tag, I agree that is inexcusable. But we're not in that room when that conversation goes down. What if Byrd and his agent say they will hold out until week 10 this year??? What if they say, no matter where you trade is we won't sign the tender??? What if they say they will refuse to sign with ANY team that we trade then to??? In the end, maybe Byrd just wants to test the waters and see what he's worth. In the end, what if the best anyone offers him is $9m. We offered him $10m. And then he comes crawling back for what would be the best offer???
  22. i completely understand your frustration and you make a very good point. But at the end of the day. It's something all teams do. Players leave in Free Agency, you replace then with the best you can. If that person is on the roster, in FA, or in the draft, you do what you can. All teams have this problem. Some teams get lucky and happen to draft replacements prior to this happening. For example, the Texans parted ways with Mario Williams simply because they found their defensive pass rusher in JJ Watt prior to his release. Other teams are not so lucky, like the Chiefs after the loss of Tony Gonzales. When you have a really good player at a certain position, you always run the risk of losing that player. It's just the way of the NFL. With all that being said, I really hope we don't draft a FS at #9. Stick with Williams and Meeks and Leonard for the year, maybe draft a mod round talent if he's a steal in the draft. Other than that, we should concentrate on other positions that mean more to this team.
  23. wow. Way to go WAY OFF TOPIC. I know you hatred of Stevie runs deep but look past him for a second. Just because I brought up his name doesn't mean he was the reason for the damn argument. But you proved my point exactly. Your hatred for a guy that talks and is generally a guy that doesn't take idiots too seriously. He comes to work and does his job and because he's dropped some balls, something that all WRs do (even the great ones I didn't compare him with because of stats or play, I compared him with because of attitude) you have a hate for him because he's cocky and vocal and makes more than you do. Flipping burgers isn't a coveted job. I know your mother is proud of you, but you should probably set your sights higher. same goes for you. Your hatred for Stevie is so deep, you completely ran this off topic. Get a grip on yourself for a second.
  24. not really so... Who would you like to take at FS at the 9th pick?
