  1. dont forget the cost of either moving all items included with the team or purchasing all new items/equipment. And let's not forget the cost of building a whole new stadium anywhere that may be. There's another 800m-1b
  2. RIP Ralph Wilson. You were a great man and a great believer in Buffalo. Thank you for giving me all the great memories I have with this team, town, and NFL. You will be missed.
  3. as disgruntled as this situation might be, that could give us hope that he comes to one of the AFC east teams. I could see him being very driven towards making the Pats eat crow on this one. With Pepper and Spikes here, as well as his childhood favorite team, we could be a desired spot for Vince. Oh baby, please get this guy. If anything, just to take a cheap shot at Tommy boys knee in the first game we play against them.
  4. teams don value their draft boards like that. If a team has Watkins listed as their #1 then he would be their #1. Doesn't mean they expect to get that player, but they would still lost him as their #1. Because in the NFL, yiu never know what's going to happen on draft day. Maybe Watkins falls to them, maybe he falls a few excites spots that he should have and your team now has a legitimate shot at trading up to snag him. I remember years ago there was a glimpse of the Bills board on TV and one of the names in the board was surely a player we didn't have a chance at drafting. It happens. And I'm sure multiple teams have Evans listed higher than Watkins. The guy is only 6'1" and that's not exactly towering for a NFL WR. That's Stevie Johnson size. Evans on the other hand is 6'5" and this is your prototypical Megatron mold of a NFL WR.
  5. yes. That is correct. My story was a little long but was forever memorable with being upset with my $150 purchase.
  6. Argo did quite well in the box office and so did Good Will Hunting. Just sayin
  7. Based off my experience (and I own the Blue one) I would advise you to not buy either. The "Throwback Replica" jersey is generic as Fack. The numbers will not be double stitched. They are a plasticky material and not cloth. Now here's the kicker, when Jim played, those jerseys didn't have the double stitched numbers. But theses ones are not nice. After a few years the colors on the numbers faded and I had a buddy (who owned an embroidery shop) put on new numbers for me. He severely overcharged me and the numbers were all crooked. But they are double stitch now so I'm a little happier. I don't know which ones to buy but I wouldn't recommend those at all. But since you might have your mind made up already to buy one, go with the home jersey, not just because it's the home jersey, it's also 100 less and since it's not an "official jersey" anyway, it won't matter. Save the 100 and get the blue. But you have been warned regarding the Throwback Replica jersey.
  8. have you read any of the Stevie Johnson threads at all?
  9. I think Mark and I should get some royalties from that movie for this thread. Just sayin
  10. you can block me anytime. You won't be the first and you won't be the last.
  11. His name is Michael Buffer. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Buffer Mrags - 1,347,282 Idiots on TBD - 2
  12. That sucks. To those that watch Homeland, he's Carries father.
  13. I used to live less than a half mile from his brother. Used to deliver pizzas in the same area. One day I got a delivery to Jim's brothers house at 11-12 in the afternoon. Jim answers the door looking like a homeless man that finished 3 eight balls and a keg of beer the night before (which is probably what happened). Tipped me poorly and walked inside with his food. Other than the usual meet and greet, and autograph signings, that's the only contact I've ever had with Jim.
  14. well said. And anyone that thinks Hogan is better than Britt, then they should turn in their football card.
  15. i never threw out last season in Stevie's totals. They were included. As were his total numbers over 6 years when he only started 4. Yes DJ has more yards. But the difference is really only 2 seasons for Stevie. But I won't base my argument off that. But I will say that Stebie has almost as many TDs regardless if I extract his first seasons or not. And although they are so similar statistics wise, they are no where near money wise. And honestly, IMO, they aren't even close as far as maturity goes. Sure they both have fun and make bone headed plays but DJ is a crying baby when it comes to almost everything else. Never has Stevie talked bad about his team, coach, town, etc... If you want to get into physical abilities. I'd take Stevie any day of the week over DJ. Stevie has the ability to get open anywhere in the field and even though he doesn't have ridiculous speed, he often finds himself open downfield as well. He is automatic in short slant routes as well for many first downs. DJ on the other hand has almost no ability to get open in short yardage and is a homerun playmaker on every play. He runs deep plays every play and that is fine and you need it, he's nothing if your QB doesn't have the arm or the time to get him the ball. But I will turn away from this being a comparison for the time being between Stevie an DJ and will focus on what's important. We all want to give EJ (or whoever else is going to be our QB) another weapon. We already have guys that can run fast downfield (Goodwin and Graham) and we already have short route/slant/slot WRs (Stevie and Woods). What we don't have is a "go up and get it" type of WR that towers over DBs and makes leaping catches that are impossible to overthrow. We don't have that. We have plenty of 6'0" WRs on this roster. Let's get a beast. Britt fits that mold regardless if he's worth a shot or not. Or we can draft one. Evans, Benjamin, I don't care, take your pick. But we need a big, physical, tall, WR and we don't have one and Jackson isn't it.
  16. depends on the amount we've got to pay. Of your talking 2-3 years at 4-5m a year, the sure. If your talking about paying him more than Stevie??? Not a chance in hell im with you in this. Althoufht I don't want to spend a 1st or 2nd on a OL. If prefer to address that in the 3rd and pick up a WR and TE in the first 2 rounds. Would eliminate all arguments about EJ not having enough weapons to succeed.
  17. correct. And to add to all this. People want to sit there and complain about Stevie's attitude and all that... Desean Jackson is 10x worse. Wanna talk about stupid plays? How about showboating on your way into the end zone and dripping the ball before you even reach it? People kill me sometimes.
  18. im really late to this debate but I agree with this 100%. The Lewis part of it. I am not saying I think Thad will outplay EJ becAuse these too little to go on from EJ at this point but I strongly believe that Thad will look really good in camp and on. All I cN say is EJ better bring his A-game this year. No on Manziel.
  19. I don't get the fascination with people wanting to trade for Desean Jackson. In six seasons, he's only been above the 1,000 mark 3 times. He's never had 10 TDs a season (averaging 5.33 with a total of 32). Really only one standout year with above 1,300 yards. http://www.nfl.com/player/deseanjackson/1581/careerstats And people want to get pissed at Stevie and trade him away when he has almost identical types of numbers in yardage (minus 2 years that he didn't play at all), and technically has a better average of TDs with 28 in only 3 years starting. http://www.nfl.com/player/stevejohnson/768/careerstats And he doesn't make even close to the money that Desean Jackson makes. Stevie with a 6 year $36m contract and Jackson with a 5 year $48m contract. And let's not forget that Jackson is only 5'10" and 175lbs. Apparently you guys really want Roscoe Parrish back on this team to field a team of Lollipop Guild WRs. Because with Stevie being just above 6 foot and according to most (a guy that doesn't go up and get the ball), that's pretty much what well have.
  20. if we could get a 1st I'd do it. A 2nd through 4th I'd think about it. Anything after that, the proposing tael making the offer can eat chit.
  21. yup. I lol'd when I saw a poster seriously type that we should trade Stevie Johnson for a 6th or 7th round draft pick. You've got to be kodding me. The intelligence of people sometimes makes me feel like some people should just not pro-create.
