  1. Wow. Nice guy too
  2. Sorry for your loss BC. Wish I had info for you on the brakes. I have no clue. Good luck with it. Hopefully with everything else going on it gets straightened out quickly and rather cheaply.
  3. The thought that Pegula or Jacobs wouldn't have an interest in the Bills because they have an interest in their other teams is ridiculous. First of all, let's look at the point of them purchasing the Bills just to ensure their investments in the city of Buffalo. Pegula is cementing his legend in Buffalo with everything he's doing downtown. It's not just the Sabres. It's the city of Buffalo that he's investing in. Purchasing the Bills and keeping them in Buffalp not only makes him look like more of a saint than he actually is. It also ensures the stability of the area. Jacobs just moved Delaware Norths offices back here and that makes him interested in ensuring the Bills in Buffalo. The Beiluins are a drop in the bucket to him. He can keep the team in his family and still own the Bills of he'd like. And if he couldn't, he could easily just sell them as quickly as he would like. I'm sure there's many billionaires in Boston that would love to take the Bruins off his hands of they had a chance. The thoughts that any of the players in the running to buy the team would be concerned with money is laughable. Money has nothing to do with buying a football team anymore. It's a status symbol. These people have so much money, they could never spend it all in their or their kids lifetimes. They aren't getting into buying the team for money. They are buying the team to be in "the club". There's only 32 NFL owners out there and you can bet that if someone's for the money and is a fan, they are interested. When you've got $2-3billion, you simply look at that as a chance to play owner.
  4. his legs are longer. His arms are longer. He plays much bigger and more physical than Stevie does.
  5. With everything being normal, I agree with you. But with the unknown ownership situation looming above, I don't see anyone getting let go in the coaching staff or FO until a new owner buys the team.
  6. yeah bud. This x1,000. Like I said, when I spoke with her and expressed how sorry I was for HER LOSS, and without hesitation, she stopped me and said... "No, I'm sorry sorry for your loss" I had to walk away rather quickly because I felt like breaking down in tears. It's not supposed to happen that way. She should be the one being consoled and she was trying to console us. She really is a great woman and I have complete faith that she will do whatever she can to ensure the Bills stay in Buffalo. It's obvious that the talk of "Ralph is cheap" and "just sell the team already" has subsided over the last little bit, but I really hope everyone that used to complain and joke about Ralph really understand what he and his family have done for Buffalo. Not just over the years but in Ralph's passing. There's been a plan in place. I'm sure there is. And Ralph should go down as an all time great man for the city of Buffalo for what he did, and continues to do even in death.
  7. i agree with all this. I still don't understand the argument as a whole though. Were some people actually saying that it would be tough to sell the Bruins? Or not hard at all? I believe it was take no time to sell the Bruins. They have a flare at history, and one of the bale at teams in the league in a very strong sports market. The Jacobs family is also worth so much money they could give the Briluins away for nothing and still have enough to buy the Bills and fund a brand new stadium all on their own without any public funding and still have another $1Billion left over for play money. If they really want to purchase the team, they will purchase the team. A few hundred million for a hockey team is nothing to them, they probably write that much off every year.
  8. Great article KB. Thanks for making a new thread on ot instead of it getting lost. Very informative.
  9. wish I knew you were gonna be there. I would have tried to plan it with ya buddy. I went really early. Got there at 1pm on the dot. Just so happens, it is our jack/Jill wedding shower party today and I didn't have long while I was there. But I made sure to be there. Was super impressed with Mary Wilson shaking the hands of every fan that was there. She made me feel like we should be the ones in mourning for what we have lost. A truly great woman.
  10. To those that haven't made it or even knew about it. The Bills had a memorial for Ralph today at the field house. It was awesome. Very well done. Lots on his life and career. Andre Reed was there as was Mary Wilson. I was impressed with how everything was out together and how much they appreciated the fans. Mary Wilson personally thanked and shook the hands of every Bills fan there. They had a few large blank books for everyone to sign before they left. Overall I was impressed by the treatment they gave the fans and how Mary Wilson thanked everyone. I expressed how I was sorry for her loss and she said, "I'm sorry for your loss" right back to me. She really gets how everyone in Buffalo loved Ralph and was grateful to everything he gave to us. If I can manage to get to a laptop one of these days, I'll download all the pics I took. They had a really nice display of all of his military accomplishments with a giant American flag with Navy personnel and an eternal flame. They also had a piece of the goalpost he saved from the 1980 Dolphins game as well as his HOF bust and jacket and every Lamar Hunt trophy he won. They also had the 2 AFL championship trophies as well.
  11. of he's projected to be the first RB drafted in the 1st or 2nd round then I say no. Unless you get some kind of killing for CJ and get a first and 2nd and can draft other positions as well. If he was in the 3rd round then I don't see why anyone would want to pass him up. Even the late 2nd round. Maybe if he falls until the late 2nd we is a 3rd and 5th to move up to take him. But your saying he'll be gone before then, then I'm assuming he'll be gone. I'd rather take Williams from Boston in the 4th if that's the case.
  12. WOW!!! I knew nothing about this kid but after watching highlights in a HUGE FAN!!! This kid can do it all. He's a monster of a runner but has soft hands, really good vision for finding openings, and the power to make a hole when it's not there. The 2 plays at the end of one of the highlight videos I watched were runs of over 50 yards against Illinois and they were a thing of beauty. What round is this kid projected in?
  13. first of all. I'm not saying the guy is a bum. He is a very good football player when he can be. That means wen he's not injured, and when he's not letting his head get in the way. Im a HUGE fan of Spiller. But to say that a 1,000 yard season is something special, it's less special than a 1,000 yards season out of a WR. 62.5 yards a game. That's how hrs averaged out. So you to tell me that at the end of a game, your RB rushed for 63 yards and zero TDs you'd be happy? Let's out that Into fantasy thoughts, that guy wouldn't get drafted until round 8 and he would be your 3rd RB for your bye weeks. That doesn't mean I don't think he has great potential. He does. But your also comparing 2 different coaching staffs and completely different offensive playstyles. I know as a coach you have to get your playmakers the ball. But this coaching staff might not think he's as good as you or Chan Gailey does. Hell, it even took Gailey 3 years to get anything productive out of Spiller. Not to mention, 1 decent season out of 4 is hardly elite. And regarding your coaching staff finding ways to get him involved is easier said than done. First of all, they tried and Spiller didn't respond. Second, they run completely different types of offenses than the coaching staff before them. All in all, I agree that he's a playmaker when given the right opportunities, and really believe that if used correctly he could be the next Priest Holmes when he was really hot. But for that to happen, you've got to have a lot of things fall into place. Coaching scheme, offensive line, QB. It's too much to expect. So instead they used him for their system and he was barely average. Because there's no other way to describe a 900 yard back with 2 TDs.
  14. the problem with your argument is that this FO and coaching staff didn't draft Spiller. And they certainly tried to feed him the ball this past year and they proved that CJ isn't ip to the task of being not only an every down back, they also proved that in the clutch, he wasn't anything special. Gailey did wonders for CJ but he was a mastermind getting his RBs Into space. Not many in this league have been able to match that.
  15. not sure if it would link to rumors of is moving up. But it would be pretty sweet taking Mack. Although I am not sold on Mack, I'm ok with it if they think he's a dominant player.
  16. Thanks for the backup on JerryLand guys but there wasn't for a second that anyone in their right might thought that a $1.5B stadium was paid off and earing money within 1 year. That comes out to $125M a month or $31M a week. For an entire year. I don't care how much you sell tickets for, it's not happening in the NFL. With 100k seats, that comes out to $312/ticket. And that's including summer months when there is no football.
  17. No, no, no!!! Why not have them both? What's the problem work having 2 good players at that position?
  18. i said that too JR. I think it goes right along with having guys that want to be here and are excited about being Buffalo Bills. It kinda reminds me of a guy like Fred Jackson. Regardless if he's from here or not, he loves this team, this community, these fans and he does everything to prove himself to everyone. He's the heart and soul of this team. I honestly think that local guys that grew up here, were most likely huge Bills fans, and must be super stoked to play for their favorite team growing up. And that will only help the transition to young guys, and free agents. I think the hometown love will rub off on guys. It will give them a sense of pride being on the team and in the town.
  19. if that's the case, it means nothing to keep SJ this season. The cap savings is so minimal it's not worth it. So of that's the case you keep him and use him as your 3rd or 4th if you really don't like him that much. A 6th round pick is an insult.
  20. Thi...... I better sit this one out!
  21. ill agree with this 100% as well. I don't think this coaching staff wants to take any chances this year. It's playoffs or bust and you can't have that with having gaping holes for your backups.
  22. ill 2nd this. If it means giving up CJ and our 1st to get Clowney and the Texans 2-3rd then I'd take it in a heartbeat. I think it should be noted that this coaching staff doesn't feel the same way about Spiller as the last one did. They tried, but Spiller proved them to be right in the end about him.
