Battle for LA or whatever it's called was awesome. I had serious doubts about those types of movies until that part. Was amazing IMO.

NFL: Television vs Stadium Experience

yup. Agree with you 100%. It's not that dealing with the drinks or any other argument isn't valid. The argument is, that the game day experience has all that. But it also has the joy of jumping up and down on your seats with 70,000 other fans when we score a TD. There's nothing that comes close to the excitement at home when your in the end zone sections and the Bills are at the 50 and they throw a deep ball to a wide open WR right in front if you. NOTHING!!! Compares to that feeling. If someone doesn't understand that, or feel that way. Or a few drunks make it that miserable for them, so be it. I don't want those people at the stadium anyway. Those are the people that complain that your standing in front of them when it's not just you it's the entire section. Those are the people that complain that your banging their seat from behind when everyone else in the row is doing it to the bench. Even if I stop, it doesn't matter. You bought the ticket in the rowdiest part of the stadium. Deal with the experience. If you want to aot down with your hands on your lap the entire game and give a proper high five when we score, take your @$$ to the club seats. There's a reason why these end zone seats are the cheapest in the stadium. -
Smoking aces was pretty good. I own it but haven't seen it in a long while.

As I am terrified to go into water I cannot see into, this is a good thing.

Not really a big deal. Chances are they were friends before all this went down. Doesn't mean Spikes is a criminal or involved in any of AHs gang activity. Many people have friends, family, acquaintances in prison. It happens. This is a quote from NYS corrections phone list information: The Department’s "Call-Home" program allows offenders to make phone calls as a way to maintain contact with family and friends. The offender may only call you collect. This means you will have to pay for the call. "An offender is only permitted to call persons on their approved telephone list and may only have up to 15 telephone numbers on their approved list at any time. Phone numbers may only be added or deleted at the request of the offender. This is generally done on a quarterly basis when the offender meets with his or her assigned Offender Rehabilitation Coordinator. If, however, you do not wish to receive telephone calls from an offender, you need to notify the facility, in writing, and your name will be entered on the offender’s Negative Correspondence and Telephone List. The offender will be immediately notified in writing that you have been removed from his/her "Telephone List" and that disciplinary action may be taken if the telephone is used in any manner to contact you. In addition, your telephone number will be removed from the telephone system" -
Just got back from my wedding in Montego Bay last month. Was absolutely amazing. Best time we ever had. Over 40 people joined us and it was amazing. I'm jealous as I miss it there already.

NFL: Television vs Stadium Experience

to each their own I guess but I personally feel that this argument is over exaggerated by a country mile. It has been bad at times there is no doubt. But for the amount that this argument comes up, you'd think that the entirety of the stands are falling down and puking all over each other every single game. It's simply not the case. Id say there's probably one example of this in each section of the end zones. And probably one in each section of the upper decks. It most likely doesn't happen in between the 20s. And in all actuality, it's not nearly as bad as many make it out to be. But then again I wasn't raised under a rock nor do I live my life that way now. -

are you in that pic? -
I remember back in the day I got a ticket for 90 in a 55 outside Cleveland. Debated on ever paying the ticket because I may never be back in Ohio again. This was years before stations had computer access to different counties and states. So with that being said, in glad I paid the ticket. Mailed it in and that was that. In fact it was cheaper than any ticket I had ever paid in Ny and because it was over 30 mph over, I probably should have had my koscense suspended but didn't. Was only $60. This means nothing in your situation I know. Just a cool story I like to tell when I get the chance. Oh, the funny thing was I was speeding to get back so I had enough time to tailgate for a Bills game against the Pats. One of the Flutie years.

This is exactly the reason why officers are so brutal on these tapes when apprehending suspects. Because no criminal ever out his hands out and asked to be taken in. If they can get away, they always will try. We deal with this type of chit in the prison system. Guys with everything and anything up their @$$. You'd probably chit if you heard some of the tho he's we've found in those deep dark places. And this guy is no different than many of the scum that law enforcement deals with on a daily basis. Many "privelesged" people want to believe this type of person is only in certain areas. They are everywhere. Chances are, if you live in a city even as big as Buffalo and it's suburbs (not hard to accomplish that) then your no more than a 10-20 minute drive from this sort of activity.

only if the Sabres were coming off the worst season I franchise history, coupled with the 3rd new moon of the year on Groundhog Day. But that's only if Vile Leno is on the team....DAMN!!!! We were almost in the clear. -
I would possibly say John Candy. Doesn't get much better than him.

Probably Elvis

So for example, of TPegs bids 1.25B can Rogers come right in and bid 1.26B and win? Is it based in a blind bid? What's the normal road of travel here? Anyone? -

the beer has gone up over the past few year hit I think I remember last year was $9 and change for a 24oz can right outside my tunnel (section 123). That comes to less than $5 a beer. I get 2 of those early on and I'm good until halftime. It's another $5-8 for a basket of fingers at halftime. Another 3-5 for a Pepsi and I'm good. So with $30 or so I've had 4 beers, chicken fingers, and a Pepsi. As far as the tailgating goes, I buy all my tailgate food from Wegmans so I'm essentially paying the same price as anyone else that sits at home. Sometimes I eat so much and drink enough that I don't spend a dime in the stadium or spend just a few dollars on some pepsis throughout the game. As far as feeding a family of 5. No. It's not gonna happen. But there's not too any people taking a family of 5 to the games either. So in that case it's a once a season type of experience maybe just to give the kids something to experience. For everyone else that's just paying for themselves or maybe a girlfriend/wife, it's almost no different. -

these sound more like your personal cons to going to a game than pros to staying home. And they are all your opinion. Some people just don't like the crowds. Some people just like having things out in front of them instead of figuring out what's going on, on their own. Some people just don't like the live action or the weather. And that's fine but don't make them out to be only opinions and expect it to come across as definite. There are things at the stadium you cannot experience at home. There is virtually nothing that can be experienced at home that cannot be experienced at the stadium at this point with the exception of the elements, and the comfort of being in your own home. If you order good out, you would spend just as much on pizza and wings (large pie and 20 wings), $20-30 depending on where you order as you would at the stadium on a few slices. The beer isn't that outrageous. If people are worried about spending $5 on a beer, then chances are, they don't have a big screen HDTV at home to get all the great quality of the game. So to me that doesn't sound like someone doesn't like the experience, but they cannot afford it in a regular basis. To each their own. this opinion os ridiculous at best. The thought that Russ Brandon is pumping ads instead of replays is comical. All stadiums do the same thing. I have had season tickets since 2006 and I think your extremely overexagerrating. But regardless, they have built 2 new scoreboards at the stadium this year (just drove by the stadium today and noticed them up already) that will be constantly playing replays, out of town scores, and the Red Zone highlights of other teams games. -
Offseasons practices, who should win, offense or defense?
mrags replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Defense always starts out faster. Your instinctually reacting instead of thinking about the plays, waiting for the timing to develop between QB and WR, etc. As time progresses and the offense get in rythem then they should be gaining. But with our defense being as good as it is, they might never catch up.
