How does everyone feel now? Not that anyone cares. But what a terrible pick. Could have traded down more and still got him. Would have rather taken the best punter than this joke. this front office sucks.

Bills interested in Deebo Samuel per Mike Giardi

Please god no -
Yeah I edited it. I wasn’t quoting him in my OP. But you make it a point to make me look foolish by pointing out that I was wrong. So were you my friend. my Point is still made. He was expecting to make a pick. My point still stands. I believe they had someone in mind and they were taken between 28 and 32. 2 of those picks were WRs. Maybe it’s what we wanted. Maybe it’s not. We will never know. I still think it’s stupid to be happy about moving up from 6th rd to the 5th rd for the cost of losing the 5th year option on a player. Especially in a draft that many say there’s only 150 or so draft able players. we’ll see what happens tonight. My hopes are in the dirt though. I expect much more disappointment from this joke of a GM, HC, Owner.

Not sure what you listened to but I heard differently. And I never said “absolutely”. This is what I said What he said was: he said “honestly THOUGHT we would pick at 32…. But then talked to my buddy Dan” starts around 1:30 if you want to listen. like I said. I admit I was incorrect. But you are also wrong saying I said “absolutely” edit:yeah yeah yeah. You’re going to go to my last post where I did say absolutely. I wasn’t quoting at this point. Whatever. I’m just doing things today. I’m not in the market for quoting this idiot GM

He 100% said he was ready to make a pick at 32 then his “buddy Dan Morgan called him” and here we are

They have legit the worse WR room in possibly the AFC. At least as of 3:25 on 4/26/24

I think one of my biggest issues is he had a presser last night saying absolutely expected to make a pick at 32. That tells me they had someone in mind and then he was taken between 28 and 32. Maybe that was Worthy, or Pearsal. Who knows. It was probably one of those DBs for all we know. Point is, he addressed it and said he was going to pick someone then didn’t. It’s odd to me. Even if he just had a great deal in place with Carolina is fine, but you miss the 5th year option on whatever player you’re taking. If that was a WR, CB, DE, he absolutely should have to answer for that considering all 3 of those positions require very large 2nd contract if they are good. It’s monetarily beneficial for that alone.

If they take Dejean ill seriously…. Ugh…. I don’t want to think about it

I guess you read my post wrong. I was simply trying to explain that I don’t necessarily hate what happened as far as not taking a player. I like worthy, not as much as many here I’ll admit that. But I did like him. I was fine if they didn’t draft him and they have trades on other guys they like better. And I generally do not care about giving another team the pick and taking the player they want anyway. Fact is, you’re correct, they likely would have gotten him anyway. I still don’t want to be the team to give it to them. Either way, still doesn’t bother me. But it is noted the media brought up last night ok both NFLN and ESPN that it’s the Bills that gave up Mahomes, and laughed at us for how that has worked out. Here’s the thing, I generally don’t care about losing out on Mahomes. I’d honestly take Allen every time if I had the chance. I think Mahomes is a douche. But, it does kind of get old having to hear the same thing over and over again when someone brings it up. And we didn’t again. Granted it’s not one of the best QBs of all time we’re talking about so I guess there’s that. even still, I don’t care about giving them a player and agree that we shouldn’t worry about other teams. I don’t. I’m just sick of hearing the same crap other and over. And if Worthy is the next Hill for KC, we will never hear the end of it. someone here pointed out tho, that even though the Bills had no more first round grades on anyone and that’s why they’re back, it still could be that maybe Worthy or Legette or Pearsal (kind of a joke) were our next 3 WRs on board and now we don’t have an opportunity to pick one of them. In his presser last night Beane did say he expected to pick at 32 after the trade. So what changed? 3 guys at a position of need were now gone and we went with another trade back because of it. Which is fine imo. UNLESS….. you covet having the first round pick on someone for the 5th round option. And let’s be real about that here it isn’t huge advantage, especially on a position like WR, to get them for that extra year before they need to renegotiate a contract worth 20-30m. But I really was trying to say that I don’t feel terrible about what happened, I have positives and negatives for what happened. I hope they use those picks and move around today like Kevin Costner in draft day. Making it all worth it.

Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one
mrags replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well. At the time I was seriously being sarcastic. Brian Thomas Jr hadn’t been locked yet. We were somewhere wound pick 20 I think. personally, I think we had a deal in place with Dallas at 24. Then BTJ went at 23 and everything changed for us. I say this because Dallas took all but 12 seconds to announce their trade with Detroit. Which makes me believe they had a deal in place with someone and then at the last minute it fell through. So they scrambled for another deal. im somewhat fine with everything for the most part. But as i wrote in my post about how things played out, we will look like fools if Worthy or Legette are stars in this league, no matter who we pick. personally I think they may trade back again at 33. In Beanes presser last night they already said they were fielding calls. -
Here’s where I’m at right now. I would have been happy with Mitchell or McConkey at 28 without any trades. And we traded back and got, not extra picks, but made our later picks better in the process. Now, if they go with that DB/S tomorrow at 33 I’m gonna be livid. If they take Mitchell, McConkey, Franklin, I’ll be perfectly happy with it. As I would have been at 28. Now; with that all said, you picked up the extra 3rd rounder, and now have some better ammo with the four 5th rounders. So i really really hope they are active tomorrow. Getting either an extra 2nd by moving back into the 2nd rd. Or moving up from 60 to the 40s or something. And then hopefully moving up in the 3rd again too. I will wait and see what he does. BUT…… I am absolutely with most agreeing that you shouldn’t give KC the chance to take a guy that can smoke you for years to come. If worthy or Legette are the real deal in this league we look like fools again. No matter who we take.

Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one
mrags replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Franklin will be fine. We’re missing out 1 and 2 at this point. He kind of fits into Diggs role anyway and Diggs wasn’t exactly a thick dude. as far as Worthy, goes, I feel the same way. We need a 1 and 2 now. So I’d be fine with Worthy, but want a bigger physical guy to pair with him. So I’d take Worthy with a trade down and an extra 2nd or 3rd rounder. Then come back up and try and get Legette or Polk. If those guys are gone, Devontez Walker, Rice, Baker. -

If we could still get like Franklin or Worthy, along with a Legette or Polk, I’m all for it. Anything less than that it’s a waste Right. Need to find someone to wear the C on special teams after all. Get a whole team of Tyler Matakevichs I say. -

I’m 100% all for moving up for a top 3 WR. Would give up a 1st, next years 1st, and our 2nd as well. Keeping the 2nd we got from the Diggs trade. If that means keeping our pick at 60 I’m all for that. -
He ain’t paying. They can take his butt to court and he still won’t pay. what are the laws in Florida, can they take it right out of his checks? If not he’s not paying. Let’s be fair, he likely doesn’t call them his kids and refuses paternity tests

Yeah. We have so many holes. We’re bound to get a decent special teamer with all the extra picks. Who needs elite talent at the top of the draft -
He ain’t paying checks. lol

Ooooo. Beanes got his eyes on EVERY 7th round pick in the draft. It’s gonna take some maneuvering but I think he can do it. -
