  1. well, that's an argument about the Bills being successful on offense. Not about how good of a back that CJ is. Again, if he was as good as everyone here is saying, Fred wouldn't make the field half as much as he has. Oh, and 1,000 yards is not a good benchmark for a good RB. It comes out to an average of less than 63 yards a game. Back to this argument again. 63 yards a game is putrid for a starting NFL RB.
  2. well done Chan. Only he'll just come up with an excuse as to why he can't answer it. Oh, and no, he hasn't.
  3. no. Those are facts. Your using CJs "injury" as an excise. Even though he still played. The one I'm defending wasn't even playing. Yet he still finished with more yards and TDs than your precious Spiller. So yeah, let's take excuses out of this. I'm still right. And your still wrong. And I never brought McCoy into this argument. You did. And I haven't backed away from my Spiller sucks opinion. I'm simply not using that word anymore because you all seem to get so bent out of shape over it. yeah. I would call it a bad one. He's horrible. Never been good. He was simply on a team that won the ball through the air with over 5,000 yards passing. (If you don't think that helps a RB, your crazy) What kills me is that now your even making excuses for Reggie Bush and he doesn't even play on the Bills just to help your argument. Reggie Bush not only sucks, he always did. Was always a disappointment for the teams he's played for unless your counting college. And that's fine. Spiller played well there too. Still doesn't mean anything in the pros though. Your just full of excuses. Keep it up. You look great.
  4. if you don't think Freddy OUTPLAYED CJ last year , I don't think I can keep up this argument because you apparently weren't watching. There's much more to this argument besides stats.
  5. a first round draft pick taken in the top 10 and a player that so many people like to give excises for as to why he's not producing 1,000+ seasons every year are exactly that. Excuses. Bad ones too. Again, if the player is that good, you find ways to get him on the field and contribute as many times as possible. Not take him out because another player is a better blocker or better at picking up short yardage. What happened to other teams having to gameplan for CJ? So what your saying is they would take him off the field in situations where they should have him on the field most. Yeah. Makes sense.
  6. and you don't think that people with different opinions can ever be correct? Hmmm. Now it all makes sense. I'm done here because apparently your opinion is the only one that matters. Your just pissed off I brought stats into the argument and showed how incorrect you were about McCoy.
  7. who the hell do you think you are using my link???
  8. because he's injured right? Well, let's look at that. In 15 games, CJ had 1,100 total yards from scrimmage and 2 TDs. McCoy had over 1,300 yards and 5TDs in 12 games. So yeah, there's a difference. CJ played. Hurt or not. He played. You think McCoy wasn't hurt in other games? Again, you brought McCoy into this. Not me. There's no argument. CJ only beat Jackson a few years ago because of a Jackson injury. He also fizzled down the stretch as well. And I'm not arguing the fact that Jackson is a good RBs. I'm simply stating the fact that if CJ was as good as so many of you here believe, he wouldn't have any problem taking carries away from other RBs on the roster. He would simply be too good to take a back seat. But he's NEVER done that. But keep up the crusade.
  9. see above. Stats speak for themselves. McCoy also has out up a 1,600 yard season rushing alone. Another 2 over 1,000 yards rushing as well CJ has only topped the 1,000 mark once. And has less than half as many TDs. You brought McCoy into this. Not me. and this again. More excuses. If CJ is/was so good, why can't he beat out an often inured, 30+ year old RB?
  10. fwiw I never brought up McCoy. Someone else did. But it shouldn't be tossed out that the majority of the football world believes that if he's not the best all around TB he's in the top 3. It should not be overlooked that career vs career McCoy has over 7,000 yards from scrimmage and 39 TDs while CJ has 4,000 yards and 17 TDs. McCoy has played only one more year than Spiller. So yeah, there's a huge difference.
  11. I'm not scared of anything. I already told you people that I don't think Spiller will have over 1,000 yards rushing. He'll have another disappointing year. Originally the bet was 1,300 total yards rushing. Now all the sudden you want me to bet 1,300 yards from scrimmage. Which Beerball kindly admitted that 1,300 yards offense isn't hard to do. But regardless, Ive said he won't even get that. Your the ones Making excuses that he'll be shorted because of sharing carries with Freddy and Brown. I believe Brown will be the starter by mid season. So with my thoughts, I obviously think CJ will be another disappointment this season since he will lose his starting job which is funny because he's never been able to wrangle that job away from a 30+ year old back that also hasn't finished a season without being injured in the last 4 years.
  12. ugh. Again. Your not paying attention. Just stop. more excuses.
  13. the bet was 1,300 total yards from scrimmage. Not 1,300 rushing. Pay attention.
  14. funny. I'm usually over positive on here. Funny how everyone was against me for so long about Stevie Johnson. But when I go against a beloved CJ Spiller I get hung out in front if everyone to laugh at. Have fun. Enjoy your day. see post above.
  15. ive stated my thoughts. I know yours.
  16. thats funny. I want them to fail sometimes just to **** everyone up who overrates Bills players. ive already stated my opinions and offered up a bet that CJ would have another disappointing season. 1,300 yards is such a low bar that's ridiculous. 950 rushing is bad an 450 receiving isn't great but decent and not hard to do by any means. But I'll take you up in that bet. Sure. Oh, and again, I still stand by my opinion that Brown will be the starter by the end of the yet an CJ will be let go via FA.
  17. Lesean McCoy probably doesn't use excuses about being beat up when playing a mans game. LeSean McCoys fans probably don't use those same excuses. Same with MJD, Matt Forte, Adrian Peterson, Etc. But if you want to keep making excuses for him that's fine. I used to bit I'm done with it. Done it for years. Used to think Chan was crazy for all his "he gets winded" talk. Now I just think he was right. Same with Hacketts "well run CJ until he throws up" I never saw chunks on the field last year. Believe whatever you want. CJ Spiller is in a contract year with probably the best team he's ever had around him. He should have the best year of his career. I think he'll bust again. You think he'll be great. I think by week 8 well see Brown emerge as the starting RB and well find out I'm right. For the Bills season and playoff hopes, I hope your right and he has the year of a lifetime. We shall see. My opinion has been noted. I'll remember yours at the end of the year.
  18. "IMO, Spiller has the ability to be that 2012 guy if there is better playcalling, oline play, and he stays healthy" All I hear are excuses. For the last time, HE IS INCONSISTENT, ALWAYS INJURED. I don't care who takes him.
  19. I wouldn't give 2 chits if the Pats signed Spiller. He's easy to defend against. Apparently you just have to stack the box. And that's only of he's not hindered by an ankle sprain.
  20. I was insinuating that he is not only overpaid but overrated as well. He will never pay a paycut in his prime. Someone will give him $5+ million somewhere.
  21. lets just wait and see what happens. Reggie Bush got $16M over 4 years. Steven Jackson the same. While I don't think CJ even holds a candle to Jackson, he is better than Reggie Bush. And the only reason why Jackson got so little is because he's old and best up. CJ will get $5+ Million a season. Bank it. Some of the others on that list making $3+ million and you don't think CJ will get 5? Unbelievable. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/4/8/4143430/2013-nfl-free-agents-running-backs
  22. yes he will command a ton. Over $5+ million a year. He's not worth that much. I was already proven wrong. I used to think he would be great. He hasn't been. Even his one good year was nothing spectacular. 1,200 yards is hardly mind blowing. I'm the one going out on the ledge here saying he sucks. And hoping to say "I told you so". Apparently the majority of fans, players, coaches, etc all believe he's the 2nd coming of Barry Sanders. I'm not arguing about Dareus. But honestly, we probably should give up on him. His contract is coming up soon too. His play on the field makes him worth it, so far his issues and distractions off the field make it questionable. Jackson has been injured a lot too. But were not using that as excuses for his play. He's old. He's injured. He's past his prime. He's 2nd string to CJ much of the time. Yet he continues to fight and prove he's better than we all think he is or has left. And if you've watched this team the past 2 years and really thought CJ was the better player then I don't know why we're arguing. There's obviously no changing your mind. But Freddy was consistent at running the ball well, picking up first downs, keeping drives alive and giving his all out on the field. CJ has disappointed. exactly what I'm thinking. Of he was so great why did he struggle to get on the field in that time?
  23. the difference is... Are you on your phone? Or a desktop/laptop? Huge difference. I haven't been on this board on a proper computer in over 4 years. I'm sure you won't complain when I'm at training camp using up the last 3% of my battery filling everyone in play by play what's going on in camp.
