  1. here. I'll do what you did to me only exactly opposite. If your from Buffalo and don't get offended by all the national media outlets, the snobs like Tom Brady, and other idiots like Willis McGahee, and Donte Witner then you have no love for your city. No passion. No drive. There. It goes that way too. You can't honestly stand there thinking the city is on the rise but not get bothered by some idiot who's never even been here calling it a dying city.
  2. i see what you did there I can do it too. Quit being a toolbox
  3. like Biscuit already said. Why take a shot at a place on what could have been a nice article. Why the need to continue to dump on the city??? Are you from Buffalo? Do you live in Buffalo? Becaise people in Buffalo care.
  4. check ur pm
  5. ya. No worries. I'll probably be gone for a while again anyways after this thread.
  6. its not about being over sensitive. It's about being real. Buffalo is far from NYC or Chicago. Hell, even Miami or SD. But here's a lost of other cities in the league that really aren't much different. Cleveland Cincinnati Green Bay St. Louis Indianapolis Jacksonville Tampa Bay Pittsburgh Kansas City Carolina I've been to, or through almost all of those cities and don't see much different from the limited time I spent there. Oh, I'm sure I'll get some overly sensitive people stating I'm not even close. But then again, that's what you just said to me.
  7. one day people want to argue averages. The next day they want to argue actual yards. It's hard to keep track of everyone in the CJ fan club. Facts are facts. He's mediocre. He hasn't done anything special to speak of as far as numbers is concerned. Love how you had to throw in the "bum wheel" excuse for last season. What's it going to be this season when he finishes healthy and still has a sub 1,000 yard season? Excuses. Everyone has a list of them when it comes to CJ. Good Football players are just good. They play well in spite of their "excuses" they don't use them as reasons why they aren't good. Keep thinking whatever you want man. I think he's average at best. Doesn't deserve any contract because he just hurts the team on offense. I'll be happy when he's gone.
  8. 1. I hate when people call them Buffalo Wings. I've heard everything from, "do Buffalps really have wings" to "they're called Buffalo wings becaise of the sauce that's BBQ and hot saice mixed". They're just wings people. Or chicken wings. How freaking hard is that??? 2. I love how they open with "there's nothing else to do in Buffalo". Why dont the Packers get that kind of introduction? It's a freakimg city of 104,000 people. Buffalo triples that. And if you add in sorrounding areas it's over 1.5 million. I don't know the surrounding areas of Green Nay but im betting it's less. But 104k to me sounds like Williamsville combined with Amherst. What kind of city is that? What is there so much to do there in Green Bay that's the reason they don't take shots at the town???
  9. Less talky. More pics.
  10. well. If you believe a sub 1,000 yard season is good then have at it. I personally 62.5 yards a game is pretty miserable. Your points are incorrect about CJ being better than Fred so far this year. They are force feeding CJ the ball first of all and Freddy has had limited carries and opportunities to get in a groove. 37 attempts and 147 yards and a 4.0 avg. 7 receptions for 57 yards for 8.1 average. With a long of 47 yards. Vs Freddy which is looking like 25 attempts for 119 yards and a 4.8 yard average. 13 receptions for 118 yards and 9.1 yard average. With a long of 38 yards. If you really want to get crazy, we can factor in Dixons stats and he's at a whooping 7 attempts for 63 yards with a 9.0 yard average. His longest run is 47 yards. So let's get back to how stats and average yards are more important. Freddy is averaging almost a full yard better in the ground in the run game. And a full yard better in the passing game. Dixon who has no receptions is hard to factor into the passing game but is carrying the ball an amazing 5 yards better than CJ. I don't have the patience to look up first downs but I would bet my lunch that Fred and Dixon have picked up more of those as well. And CJ and Fred both have the same amount of TDs on offense. Spiller has helped In the STs portion of the game. Really not that impressive actually. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. Oh, and for the record, I didn't bring Fred Jackson into this conversation. You did. But thanks for proving me right with stats to back upy argument. Have a nice day.
  11. your missing the point. He's actually doing the team harm by not doing his job running the football. This offense has been handcuffed by the fact that we can run the ball consistently. He is part of that. He has personally killed multiple drives already this season that I can think of. The idea isn't about who were going to replace him with. He's actually hurting us at the RB position. So just take him out. Either of the other RBs will work fine and move the sticks forward. yeah. Because CJs average of less than 50 yards a game so far this season is mind blowingly awesome. Get lost BPA.
  12. yeah. I know. It sicks to hear the truth and you can't say anything about it to make or sound better. It's unfortunate for the CJ lovers. Here we are in week 3 and already making excuses for him again. He's healthy right now so the excuse must be that the OL sucks. Or EJ sucks. Blah, blah, blah. It's always something with this guy. How about he's just not a good football player. He's now been given the opportunity to secure his starting role for almost 4 and 1/4 seasons and he can't do it. When do the excises stop? When does everyone just realize he's just not that good? I'm guessing it'll never happen. 20 years from now well still be hearing from the appologists. I can hear it now... "If only 3 different coaches learned how to use CJ we would have been a playoff team. He had more potential than any RB I've ever seen, blah, blah, blah" I've got news for everyone, NOT EVERY FAST PLAYER IS ACTUALLY GOOD!!! Dante Hall was never anything more than a kick returner, Roscoe Parrish sucked, Flash Glasswin can't stay healthy for more than 2 minutes.
  13. 69 yards rushing and 9 yards receiving??? Awesome??? Really??? I'll give him credit for a kick return for a TD. But no me players get TDs on kick returns. All that matters is that you have good blocking and your fast. You can keep thinking whatever you want. He has hindered our offense so far this season. He's got 147 yards in 3 games. ZERO Touchdowns rushing the ball. Pretty sure that's what RBs are supposed to be for. Yards and TDs. He sucks at both.
  14. jurons desire to be the most conservative coach of all time wouldn't mix in with Chans stupidity.
  15. keep wishing in one hand and crapping in the other. Good RBs in the NFL don't need to rely on a 40 yard run a get to get their average per game up to 60. Were giving excuses for him again. Now he's healthy but were blaming it on his line. QB play and OC. Always something with him. Good players don't need excuses they are just good no matter what and elevate everyone around them.
  16. All this talk is so nastalgic. Later tonight I'm gonna roast some marshmallows and song cum-bouiya. What did I tell everyone before the start of the season. And CJ hasn't disappointedly yet. Were still along excuses for him. Only week 3. Can't wait to see the excuses in week 8. Just because he had a return with superb blocking and one large run of 40+ doesn't make him good. He's consistently cost is first downs already this season. Be glad he's in your team. I'm not. Can't wait until he goes.
  17. Well. The major remodel project was sold so no go. The other one is iffy because of my wife so probably no go. Thanks guys.
  18. Nobody is gonna give Tommy Boys while a shot in here? Say all you want about him but his wife is acknowledged as extremely hot.
  19. yiu got that right WEO. People are ridiculous at times. Don't get too worked up tho. Because as soon as you really start digging in about how mediocre Chan was, you'll start hearing from all the people about how amazing he was at getting CJ into space. Ya know, because CJ had his only good season out of his below average career under Chan.
  20. well. I don't own the house so it's pretty rough to go and check right this minute. In all seriousness. It's like an attic. It's a crawl space type room. I have no idea what's in there. It was shown to me by the owner for a quick 20 seconds whole peaking my head through a half door around a corner.
  21. the area over the garage has a room now. Pretty sure it's got floor joists in there. It's just got a slanted ceiling like being in an attic actually. I was thinking it would be like kicking the roof out and adding a dormer. Now as far as if the joists are strong enough to hold the weight of a master bath and closet, that's another story. But I would think it could. It's for the closet and small bathroom now using the same flooring area as it is. The other one, I don't think the wall is load bearing so I don't think that would be the issue. It's more of the issue with the very low pitch on the roof. So slight you've got to be across the street to see it. And the slight slope in the floor. I've got pics but I doubt I'd be able to link them here because they are probably too large of a file.
  22. Bump!!! Anyone? Not even a construction worker telling me to beat it?
  23. My wife and I are currently looking at a few homes and have found some that are absolutely horrible. Some that are absolutely amazing. And a few in between. 2 in particular that we either love or have a ton of potential. The one I love, has a small issue, the roof comes down at an angle that cuts off in the closet and lowers the ceiling height. It also does this in theater bath. On the other side of the wall however is an area that is 10-15ft wide where the roof comes to a point at the outside wall. It also doesn't have a vaulted ceiling. Only 7' ceilings. One thought of mine, is since the rest of this house is immaculate and doesn't need any other work, I'm wondering about what the cost might be to build onto this room. The flooring is there as it's over the garage, how much might it cost to build a dormer off this room to increases ceiling height to vaulted ceilings as well as add that 10-15ft of storage room into livable space by increasing it to a walkin closet/dressing room, and a master bath. The size of roof that would need to be added would be approx 20x30. Another home were looking at is the exact opposite. It needs a ton of work. Instead of just needing 1 thing, it needs everything. In return or is much cheaper. Like 100k cheaper. It has a master bedroom with a master bath. Both are small. However through a doorway in back of bedroom, is a huge room that is approx 20x15, then through that room is another room that is approx 20x6. Down the center of this room, the floor is a bit pitched. Why? I have no idea. I'm sore it could just be leveled but at what cost and is there any additional worries I should have. My thoughts are to knock out the wall in between the 20x15 room and the 20x6 room and create a giants after bedroom while using the old master as a wall in closet/dressing room in to the way to the master bath. With that said, the roof may be the issue. Again... 7' ceilings. My thought is, maybe not needed right away, but in the future, when a new roof is put on, what would the cost be to increase the roof pitch and create a vaulted ceiling to this space. Approximately 20x20. I just crazy? I know I could spend more on a house that just has more of a move in ready feel to it, but these really are what I like but just need a little bit of love to make it our own. I'm not well versed in the world of construction. Is this something that might cost me $10k? Or something that might cost me $50k? And I'm not sore if I should be worried about the slight pitch and unevenness of the floor in the space I'd like to make my master bedroom. It runs down the center of the house it seems from left to right. Or front and back. It's very slight. A ball might not even roll on it. But it's definitely uneven. Even the door in the space stops at a certain point on the floor in that spot. Advise? Words of wisdom? Expectations? All are welcome. Thanks in advance.
