  1. too bad we didn't get that 4th for him. Could have had an extra draft pick and wouldn't have missed a thing all season.
  2. lolololololololol
  3. yeah. At this point in the season, he should have another gain of 20 by our bye week.
  4. so what your saying is the Bears, Dolphins, Chargers, texans, and Lions all have the best DTs and DL in the league. Don't worry. Things should get better next week against Wilfork. Or maybe against KCs DLine in a few weeks. Oh, I got it, maybe by Time we play Denver. Get a grip. You at good players every week. It's the NFL.
  5. no. I hated Roscoe Parrish just as much or more than CJ and they are identical.
  6. careful. People don't like being told that around here
  7. we kind of agree. First if all. People don't think he's trash yet because they haven't opened their eyes yet. They still get googlely over flashy things. Second, I don't think his 1 season was very good. It was good. End of story. Third, if he's misused, the only way to use him correctly would be in the passing game. So basically he's not a RB at all. And that's fine. Of much rather have CJ lining up at WR than freaking Hogan or Chandler. Last, I don't think he's talented at all. I think he's fast. That's it. Unfortunately, in the NFL, speed means a lot less than it does in college. Speed in college can make you a star. In the NFL all it means is your fast. Bit if you can't catch as a WR, you lose a job. If you can't look for the ball as a DB, you lose your job. If you can't shed a block as a DE, you lose your job. So why as a RB that camt see the field properly, or have the right decisions when it comes to following blockers keeps his job. Not only that, keeps getting fed the ball when there are clearly other players at that position playing better than he is? Let's ask this question, if Marrone saw it best to bench EJ for not playing well, how in the hell does he not bench a RB that gets 8 yards a game? Especially after your team gave up a 4th round pick for a RB, and picked up another in FA and both played well in camp and preseason. Why is that?
  8. its not like Fred is Jerome freaking Bettis. They are within 16 LBs of each other. And in fact (as I pointed out in some topic today) CJ is actually a bigger, heavier back than Fred based on height to weight ratio. But if you want to argue that thy are completely different, that's fine. They are both RBs in the NFL. One of them is super fast and young. The other is not so fast and old. Yet the one that everyone would think is the better back is not. He's the one that has dissapointed throughout his entire career with the exception of 1 fluke season which has never been duplicated aince and looking like it's not going to happen anytime soon. Despite all the excuses for CJ. We heard all offseason that last year he was short of his usual numbers because of an injury. Well... This year he's not injured. He just isn't good. And it's looking like 2012 was an exception and not the normal out of CJ. It's looking more and more like he's not good enough to play in the NFL.
  9. im not picking anything with you. You chimed in and stated that TDs is an overrated stay when assessing RBs. I argued a point. If you didn't want to argue with me about it, you probably should to have quoted me and thrown in your opinion. Not trying to be a dick here. It's blatantly obvious there isn't a single person on this site that doesn't know my opinion of CJ. So when someone quotes me and creates an argument, I'm going to argue it.
  10. hes proven he won't do it much more than he has. Just saying. 1 year in 5. Facts. They usually don't lie.
  11. i remember a lot of players being great in college too. Ryan Leaf. Jamarcus Russell. Rashaan Salaam. Kijana Carter. James Hardy. Mike Williams. The list could go on and on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. And on. Just like all the excuses for CJ.
  12. i think we should huddle up with 10 and Hughes should line up on the sideline. As soon as the ball is snapped, he takes a rocket pack ride straight to the QB.
  13. he is getting the same blocking and same play calls that Fred gets and handles well. I'm few arching the game right now and have seen CJ take the wrong angle, wrong hole, or wrong cut at least 3 times already. Could have had a big run on one of them that I saw. It's his vision that sucks.
  14. our offense that was consistently ranked in the mod to late 20s? Or are you confusing offense with a useless running genwhen your already down by multiple scores and the defense is giving you the run game?
  15. They didn't challenge because Glasswin didn't hold into the ball and it might not have even been a catch.
  16. so if your argument is that the TD stat is not a realistic way to account for how well a RB played, then why can't I argue that total yards is just as false of a gauge as well? How bout the statistic of his carries without his long breakout runs? How about the amount of times he could have had large runs but doesn't because his vision is terrible? How about the amount of times that he makes the wrong decision to stay in or out of bounds? It works both way, you see. Speaking of 2012... Why is it that the rest of our offense struggled, but our RBs played well? Maybe because we were behind quite a bit and the defenses we were facing were giving is the run so that we couldn't pass? This is just too easy to defend my opinion. When all the "pro CJ" opinions are just filled with what Ifs and excuses. It's ok. You'll see. He will not finish anywhere near 1,000 yards this season. He'll be signed by some other team and for 3 yours you will see him produce about the same as he has with us for 5 years. Then you will wonder what ever happened to him and make claims that he could have been so good if he had just been used properly.
  17. hes the master of unscathed. Lol
  18. if he would have had double digit TDs, then maybe. Every year some RB gets 1,700 yards from scrimmage. Multiple. MJD used to do it all the time. There's RBs in this legie that do that on the ground alone. 1,200 rushing yards is nothing special in this league. It's barely considered good. If your argument is going to be that last year, or some other year only X amount of okayers got that. Then my reply will be only X amount of players were good that particular year. Call it what you want man. I'm on record for thinking he sicks and costs is first downs and games. I haven't been proven wrong yet. Everyone that's in love with him keeps making excises for him. He had 1 good year. That's it. The other 4 so far have been anywhere from bad to barely average. Especially for a 1st round pick. Especially for a guy that everyone here seems to Gawk over. I don't see this much love for good RBs in the league. I don't see this many excuses for them either. Every time he dissapoints (which has been a lot) someone comes up with a new excuse. When will it end? Fwiw, I'd love to see him on some other team too. To prove that he's just not that good.
  19. What's wven better... They showed a clip on either espn or NFLN this morning about how one of the papers is writing that they should call Tebow. Hahaha
  20. Yeah. Just need to get spiller in space. Better blockers. A better QB. A better oc. Better play calls. You can't hinder him by splitting carries. And you most make sure he's healthy. Oh, and you must play on a full moon on Friday the 13th so that he can turn into a wolf.
  21. ill 2nd this
  22. it's Mrags. Not Mr. Rags. You don't see me calling some name you are not. Do you? I've been waiting for years to be proved wrong about CJ. In fact I was a fan of his at one time. He continued to prove me wrong an I got sick of making excises for him. Just like everyone else still does. It's not my fault I'm ahead of the curve and don't fall for that crap anymore. The complaints are 100% earned. He runs behind the same line as Freddy and Freddy has no issues making something out of nothing. He has no problem finding the small holes created by our terrible Guards. CJ continues to show he has horrible vision. He cannot figure out where to go. When he chooses to break it to the outside, he should have kept it up the middle and when he runs it up the middle he should be breaking it to the outside. It's as simple as shuffling 3 feet in either direction. The problem is, he doesn't make the right decision. Id say ever, but we all know that he has 1 run for 15-30 yards every 45 times he touches the ball.
  23. axtually, based in height and weight, Pound for pound, CJ is larger. He's only 16lbs lighter and 2 inches shorter. On average, 1" is equal to 10lbs. http://www.nfl.com/player/fredjackson/2506871/profile http://www.nfl.com/player/c.j.spiller/497204/profile It's not a case of square peg into a round hole. CJ has all the ability that Fred has on paper. The only thing missing is his vision. It sucks. Do you really think Fred just runs Into the back of his linemen and miraculously falls forward for 4 yard gains? CJ continuously hits the wrong holes. Keep making your excuses. He's getting outplayed by a 33 year old RB. He's constantly being pulled in serious situations because they can't count on CJ when the game is on the line. I don't know what your talking about with 2012. First of all, it wasn't a very good season. It was good. That's it. Good. Nothing more. If he had reached the end zone more than 8 times then maybe I would concede that it was a very good season. But it wasn't. And no, I wasn't drooling over him. I was pleased he was doing something. Unfortunately he has dissapointed in ever single season with the exception of 1. I call that a fluke. Lucky. But I sore don't call him good. He's now on oace to have 1 good season out of 5. Numbers don't lie.
  24. You both make very good points. Forget Freddy. We need to get Jerry Hughes the Robot legs.
  25. I think we need to get Freddy Jackson some robot legs. It's a risky procedure but I think it'll be worth it
