i think the point is, that players often rush their college career to come to the pros and make money right away. It could also point to the fact that players play through injury, refuse to admit an injury, or refuse to have an injury treated due to the fact that It may create a loss in draft pick status, or cost them dearly because NFL teams may believe they are too injured to compete right away. Just a thought

yup. Because guys like Shaq what had injuries in college but refused to get them addressed at the risk of losing out on money because they were drafted later or not drafted at all. At the very least, a rookie signing bonus for a 1-3 round draft pick could set someone up going forward even if they could never play a down in the NFL.
