Let me say this to start. I don’t follow college football other than watching highlights or once draft time rolls around. With that being said I like big strong armed QBs. I don’t like California QBs even though Allen is from California. He’s also not from southern cal. Grew up in a small town. He grew up as a farmer. But let’s get back to football. Hes big. Tall. Mobile enough. Has a super strong arm and a razor sharp release. While i I used to agree with all the flaws you speak of. I watched him a little bit and I think some of those things can and will be coached. I understand that he hasn’t done a whole lot against some really weak opponents. But I also look at the quality of team mates he had. He played for Wyoming. It’s not like this kid was around NFL caliber players like other QBs in Southern California teams, Oklahoma, etc. I will admit, the completion % scares me a little bit but I feel that can be fixed with nfl quality players around him and some coaching. With all that said, I really like Mayfield, although I feel he’s a little short. But his attitude and fire makes me want him a lot. I also really like Rosen (even tho I’m not a fan of SCal QBs) a lot. I would be happy with either of these 2 as well. I don’t want Darnold at all and would absolutely hate Jackson. I admittedly don’t know anything about Rudolph hows that?

Easy there trigger. I was actually agreeing and mocking everyone with the other 1800 QB posts. Defensive much?
-
Sure. Why not. There’s 1800 threads about what QB the Bills should take
-
I want Allen the most of the bunch, I think. But he won’t be there most likely because other teams know the Bills are in need of a QB and if they want to get their guy before we pick they will move up ahead of us. In a perfect world tho, he would be available for the same reasons you say. I also believe the Giants take Barkley at 2 or the Browns will forst overall and then take QB at 4. Ill say this, if we get to 8 or so and the QB they want (no matter who it is) is still there, I expect us to move up no matter what the cost. Hopefully it’s just a swap of picks and giving up something like a 2nd or 3rd at that point but who knows

Why The Jets Might Pass on Rosen and Allen

Yeah. That’s it. I am so gentle that I can’t take getting hung up on, on air. It’s bothered me ever since. Who cares No. I’ll keep it. I never said I was classy. In fact that’s the last thing I’ve ever called myself. Thank you. Someone that gets it. -

His real love is tennis because his wife was actually an athlete. Other than that he was the scrub that was always picked last in gym class. He’s a lifetime loser. Even his reproductive system has failed him and he had to adopt babies. His knowledge of real sports is laughable. He excels at collecting cards and figurines. I wish we had real sports talk show hosts in Buffalo. -
GoFundGugny: Donations needed until Memorial Day!!
mrags replied to BringBackFergy's topic in Off the Wall Archives
There aren’t any. But if you’d like, that’s what we’ll call my new TV fundraiser. Mrags’ auto repair bill fundraiser. Whatever you you need to tell yourself to give me money -
I’ll be doing something that’s for sure. I recently bought a new electric smoker although I’ve only used it once on a few fatties and 2 racks of ribs. It’s jist been too cold and I don’t feel like messing with it u til it’s warmer out. I haven’t even cleaned it from the first experience and I’ve got bacon and cheese all over it right now. But im gonna cook something for sure. I’ve done so much in the past, I always like to do something different each year. Well see this year.

I was thinking about starting a go find me for a new TV. I just bought a 75” Sony bit I don’t like it. I’m looking to upgrade and a 65” is more than $1k more. If I want the 75” it’s $2500 more. What does everyone think about pitching in to help my high expectations for watching Bills away games. -
Thank you everyone. Maybe I’ll stick around a few more days to see what happens with Free Agency
-
I was thinking similarly. What will they do if they can’t move into the top 5 to get their guy. But something tells me they will not be denied. They have the ammo to move up to any spot and are going to make that jump no matter what the cost

Angie Savage??? look it up. You’ll thank me

My most recent auto purchase went like this... chevy was having one of their yearly $10k off sticker on Silverado’s. In the end I knew I wanted the F150 but because of the deal of the Chevy I decided to settle. Even knew the salesperson personally there. Ended up getting a trade in value on my Mercedes which was just enough to cover what I still owed on it, $3300. Even though KBB private sale was listed at $6k (can’t remember what trade in value was, but it was over 3300). I was pissed. Even my own hook up couldn’t get me anymore for my trade in. I walked out. The next day I went to the Ford dealership. Found the F150 I wanted and started negotiating, the entire time talking about how I could get a brand new Chevy for $10k off sticker. I talked them down a little on the sale of the F150, managed to get 2 new tires and 4 new brakes and an alignment out of the deal with it. After I negotiated the final price and monthly payments I started mentioning that the Chevy was cheaper. Then I told them just for chits and giggles I wanted them to price out the trade in on my Mercedes that I previously said I wanted to keep for a summer cruiser. I flat out lied to them. Told them the Chevy dealership offered me $6k. They barely looked it and offered me $6k. I told them I needed to think about everything. They told me to take the truck home for the day. Make sure it fit in the garage. Take the wife for a ride (which I did). Along my ride I actually wasn’t sure. In the end it was the most I had ever paid for a vehicle before and I was terrified of the monthly payment at the time. So I decided against it. When I took her back to the dealership I told them I wanted to but I just couldn’t pull the trigger. They “just found someone” that would give me $7k for my trade in all the sudden. I left that day without the truck. Took me about 3 days and I changed my mind and called back to make a deposit over the phone. Anyway, long story I know. But should give you some ideas. In the end, you’ve got nothing to lose. Lie. Tell them someone else already offered you “X”. Worst they can do is tell you no. Good luck and have fun.

Yeah, except the playerbin question led the entire NFL in tackles last year and without him here we have Matt Milano left to be our one and only LB. and I did say that at that cost I wasn’t interested. “I will say I didn’t know the tag was $15m for him and at that price I’ll pass.” seriously guy, don’t go over amy bridges on your way home from work. -

Yeah. The guy that led the league in tackles last year in a position that we are really weak at. Forget it. Pick the matches back up. I’ll throw the gas on you. -

You need to step away from the ledge and put down the can of gasoline and the matches while your at it. Free agency doesn’t even officially start until tomorrow. -
He’s a middle freaking linebacker. Lol
-
I think you’re all high if you don’t think he’s one of our best defenders. I will say I didn’t know the tag was $15m for him and at that price I’ll pass. But if it was 10m I’d do it in a heartbeat. 12m I’d have to think about it. Well see how well he does on the Pats or Jags I guess
-
Just curious, why did they not franchise tag possibly our best (at least top 3) player on defense? It couldn’t have been too much to tag a MLB and now you lose him for nothing. Just curious. Anyone? What would the cost have been to tag him?
-
Just curious what our DTs ranked last year when we were ran all over after letting go of Dareus. Minus 30?
-
Awesome. Love it.

Dear Brian Daboll, -Do you stink as an OC?
mrags replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you don’t think he’s becoming less and less each year then I don’t know what to tell you. It’s almost a guaranteed fact that RBs over the age 30 drop off significantly in their careers. As far as Daboll, which was the reason why I even bothered with this thread. I said there’s a chance that he could be good, if we get really lucky in the Draft, or just just get Cousins or Foles at QB. But even then we have a lame duck OC we’re dealing with. Let’s see, Tom Brady in 2013 had just over 4,300 yards, which is pretty good. But let’s not get too excited. It’s still Tom Brady we’re talking about. But he also threw only 25 TDs (3rd least In his career) and his worst since 2006. He also had his 5th worst QB rating of his career and his worst since 2003 (throwing out the 2008 season when he played less than a quarter) In 2012 his offense with the KC Chiefs, was 32rd in the league. His offense produced just over 2,900 passing and 8 TDs. In 2011 his offense with the Miami Dolphins, was 20th In the league. His offense produced just over 3,400 passing yards and 20 TDs. In 2010 his offense with the Cleveland Browns was 31st in the league. His offense produced just over 3,200 passing yards and 13 TDs. In 2009 his offense with the Cleveland Browns was 29th in the league. His offense produced just over 2,200 passing yards and 11 TDs. I don’t know about you but the pattern I see is that he’s been bad (that’s being really generous) at the very least with his offensive rankings as an OC with not so great teams and QBs. He created some of Tom Brady’s worst numbers of his 18 year career. Yeah, I can see how you feel optimistic. SMH
