  1. I don’t care. If you’re offended, get off the internet.
  2. Don’t get me wrong at all. I think Hock will be really good. Has a higher floor and will most likely be good at worst. However just how some people feel about Metcalf, I say swing for the fences. If your going with potential, I think Fant has a higher ceiling. Of course I could be wrong. But I’d take Fant, back in the 20s and be glad I traded back multiple times for multiple extra 2nd and 3rd round picks. Giving me room to move back up if needed, or stay where we are. Because I feel this draft class has a lot of really good talent at our positions of most need. I say capitalize on more picks.
  3. Well see what happens when Josh Jacobs is getting attention at pick #22
  4. I’d be on board for this right now without seeing who’s there right now. Without a doubt no questions asked. Not sure you need to ad any additional picks going to then tho. Not sure how the math works out on the picks. Maybe 15 for 24 and 27 and a 3rd or 4th.
  5. Well. I think we need a poll of names that drop. Just like we did the trade down scenario. Because many people will have different opinions of different players. I for one, don’t want anything to do with Metcalf. Unless the other top tier WRs are gone and he’s there with our 2nd round pick. Other than that, I’m not taking him there.
  6. Actually. I’ll admit I was wrong here. Looking at their combine measurable, TJ Hock is actually taller and heavier than Fant. I’m basing off what I see on film. Fant just looks larger. Taller. More built than Hock. At least imo. I wasnt saying hes more physical as in the run game btw. I know Hock is a much better blocker. I meant as far as receiving. Based off the highlights I’ve seen, Fant just looks to be a superior athlete than Hock.
  7. The same could be said about Ralph Wilson but people constantly made fun of his decisions and bashed him for others.
  8. You may see them take one at 9 if someone falls in their laps. Or even trade back for one. Imo, LB is one of the weakest spots on this team now. Especially defensive needs. Either they think they have a good starting 3 and get some mid to late round depth. Or they go big and try and secure that position for years to come with Edmunds and an early first round rookie.
  9. Then maybe we should take a quick poll while we’re in the drafting process to see if...... X, X, or X is there by 20-25. Would you like to attempt to trade up. If so, what are you willing to give up. Could be a pick next season. This season. Multiple combinations, players. Etc
  10. This. I dont one think they go with a RB at all. Unless one they covet falls much farther than expected and it’s a no brainer.
  11. Fwiw, I’d probably take Fant all day over Hock. Both will be good. Fant has the potential to be generational. Shockey, Gates, Gronk. Hock doesn’t have that. And the reason why Fant had more TDS is because he’s a bigger target. More physical. Which is exactly what we need.
  12. This. Not to mention he’s just a fat stupid idiot that has no idea what he’s talking about. He was right in the Allen thing. No crap. So we’re a million other idiots that generally don’t have a clue. But it’s not hard to figure out.
  13. This is another thing we need to discuss here. Community poll in about 10 more picks. If we want to, or feel the need to trade back into the 1st round for a guy like Hock, Fant, Ferguson, Greedy, etc.
  14. Was driving and waiting for trades to come in. Give me a few min The Giants select Devin White LB LSU
  15. Yeah. I think the signing of Yeldon pretty much eliminates any draft pick of a RB in this draft. They have put a group of RBs that could all start (I know how some of you feel about the age of Shady and Gore) in this league right now. They are experienced and all have what it takes to be good backs still. This draft will not see a RB at all unless a guy they really covet falls to a much later spot than they imagined. I see this draft as all about DL, OL, WR, TE, and LB. Give your young QB protection, and toys to play with.
  16. The NY Giants are open for business in trade back scenarios. You can send offers in this thread or PM if you prefer not to show your hand.
  17. Just curious. Has anyone seen McDermott at anyone else’s pro day? Maybe he’s just as up close and personal with a guy projected in round 7 as he is with a guy in the top 10. Just saying. Just because he was right up there, doesn’t mean anything.
  18. Then Giants are open to all trade offers. Picks. Players. Will consider any offer.
  19. My misunderstanding.
  20. Not for 24 and their 2nd rounder. But I’d do it for their 2 late round firsts. 24 and 27. I’d take a 3rd this year instead of a 2nd next year. And I would run up to the podium to announce the trade.
  21. So you should be concerned with Ed Oliver at 9 as well because he has weaknesses? Strengths Elite athlete with high-end foot quickness, agility and fluidity Built low and plays with leverage on his side As twitchy and sudden as any interior lineman you will see Freak-daddy workouts expected for quickness and explosion testing Explodes into blockers with jarring pop for early advantages Instinctive and early play diagnosis Rare initial quickness to disrupt in gaps Posted 53 tackles for loss in just three years Direct, inside hands and plays under opponent's pads Linebacker speed for extended range to tackle Plays with consistent motor and overall hustle Works to half-man in his rush Tilts blocker with jab step before hitting slap-rip counter to opposite edge Body control for efficient, edge to edge counters Pairs spin counter with athletic ability to eat as secondary rusher Weaknesses Squatty, unimposing frame falls below NFL size norms inside Scouts say he played under 280 pounds Lacks functional length Gets mauled by down blocks and double teams Struggles at times when offenses run downhill at him Gets clogged up against wide-bodies Unable to sustain early jolts into extended power Backdoors blocks in lateral pursuit rather than winning across the face Forced to work excessively at disengaging from blocks Failed to convert explosiveness into impressive sack totals Rush attack is more predictable than diverse
  22. Bills (I know) Raiders Giants Packers In that order
  23. Don’t like any of his strengths then I guess. Strengths Locker room leader with character that is off the charts Face of the franchise personality Experience as base end and defensive tackle Instant snap reaction with fast hands into contact Highly efficient in his movement Stays under opponent's pads throughout the rep Lateral quickness to disrupt in gaps Can contort and slither around blocker's pads Rare flexibility creates functional balance at awkward angles Short area agility of a linebacker Active to improve rush positioning Shifts hips for optimal cornering inside the pocket Can drop into space on zone-blitz calls Batted down 15 passes during career
  24. He should. He’s 100% a McDermott kind of guy and he’s a beast on the football field. Should probably trade back between 12-18 and pick up extra picks though if he’s your guy. He could go early because there will be a run in DTs early. But he should be there in the teens. Imo he might be the best one of the draft. Him or Lawrence. But I haven’t watched enough lawrence yet.
  25. I’ll have to watch some more of Montgomery. I’ll admit that. But I like LJ Scott for the same reasons. The kid is going to be good imo. I hope we take him. Even if it means using a 2nd RB draft pick on him. I want him. I’d use a 3rd RB draft kick to get him and Jacaues Patrick. I really love this kid too. Give me these 2 and I’d be happy with RB in the draft. But I think they go with one of the early rounders first and likely won’t take any late rounders. I see them going Sanders more than anyone. I like him but probably not my favorite. Henderson has that home run threat in the run game. Not sure if he’s sized to be an every down back tho. Doesn’t look too small but on paper he is pretty small.
