Oliver and Hockenson, do the Bills have enough
mrags replied to bigbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like this one that was written in the spring of 2007? It states that he just lost 50lbs from 334 to 285? http://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=2862119 Then pair it with his stats for the year and you see that he only had 2 sacks that season. Which was also his final season https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SappWa00.htm His best seasons were played with much more weight in his frame. -

I get it. I don’t agree with it, but I get it. The Donald argument has been debated ad nauseam. For one, Donald is the best in football. He’s also the exception, not the rule. I just don’t see Oliver being effective. I hope we don’t get him. But if we do, I’ll be pulling for him just any other Bill. And I’ll hope this FO knows what they’re doing. -

He was a jerk. He was also an incredible ball player. But I think if he was 300, he was every bit of it. Looking at him, he looked larger. I think Oliver weighed in at the combine at 285. That 15lbs is actually a lot of weight. But I don’t think that’s just it, chances are he bilked up for the combine and played at a lower weight. Looking at him on film and in pics, he looks much smaller than Sapp. -
Look Out for Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State in Rd 2

I don’t want him. We need legit players at positions right now. We are a year or so away from taking gadget players that don’t fit a specific position. -

Its hard to go back and find what his playing weight was. I’ve seen a link ow that says he’s 300 at the age of 46ish. Googling his playing weight I’ve seen reports that he weighed up to 340ish at one point but lost close to 50lbs. To my eyes, just looking at them, it’s not close. Sapp was far larger and it’s not close. -
Bills have interest in Seattle DE Frank Clark

I was just going to say... can we lock this thread now please? -

I was just going to say... he he looks much more like a RB than a WR. Like you said, he’s an “offensive weapon”. Maybe something like Christian McCaffrey coming out. Could be really good if given the right situation. -

Warren Sapp has turds that weigh more than Oliver. Just saying -
There’s definitely guys that are there that most likely won’t be by 40. You’ve got to pay attention to the drop off of talent at the position after the few guys are taken. I’ve got a few in mind but don’t want to bring it up until they are drafted or my picks DE OL CB (with what’s still out there) FS/SS WR isn’t far away. If there’s a run, they will be gone.

Because I don’t like him at all. I think he’s undersized and will fail as an NFL DT. Or this -
Aren’t you going to be a QB needy team soon? Or did Tommy Boy not give you permission to draft a QB.

I would hope the Bills don’t even taken Oliver at all. So I would hope they don’t trade up at all to take him anywhere. -
You can make an argument that besides Line and QB. The TE position is in the field more than any other position in football (assuming they are very good). I say go without shock at 9. I was was a big Fant guy over Hock. I’m starting to turn.
-
All I care about is they stay away from Oliver. I don’t think he’s worth all the hype. Of course, if he’s there in the 2nd round... sure. But that’s not happening. Give me Hock, Wilkins, White in the first. In the 2nd I want a WR. Harry, AJ Brown, Butler. maybe Harmon or Hall if the previous 3 were taken.
-
Before the 2nd round hits. The Giants are putting any feelers out there for anyone interested in trading for the 5th pick in the 2nd round. 37th overall. Pm your offer.
-
I’d say the only one that didn’t wind up with it’s perfect fit was the GMen as I was furiously trying to trade back. An extra pick in the first 3 rounds would have done it.

Yes. This kid is the Odell Beckham of this draft.

Players With The Same Name On The Same Team

They play on opposite sides of the ball. It would just be Allen for both of them. -
Yes please!!! He’s going to be the best WR in this class. This I would be all for. Would still be able to potentially get your hands on Fant or Hockenson. Wilkins or Lawrence. And you’d already have your DE

Maybe Ford didn’t want to stay with KC
-
I don’t disagree. Just saying it sucks for @H2o
-
Don’t disagree with that. Just saying, sucks for him playing this particular mock. If it’s me, I’d want the picks to get my own guys.

That sucks for @H2o
