  1. Easily replaceable…. Yes. Replaceable with elite talent… no. Nobody is replacing Taylor or Henry right now. And those teams wouldn’t give them up for anything. one could argue that getting a young RB that can do it all on a rookie contract is extremely important to an offense and makes all the difference in the world. I HATED CJ Spiller. But imagining what this offense could be with someone like Spiller I’m his prime would make it unstoppable. If Hall isn’t the answer, that’s fine. But the fact is Beane agrees with this more than you do apparently. He tried for a fast, receiving RB in FA and apparently got pretty upset when we were screwed by Washington. And they were reportedly interested in Ettiene in last years draft only to lose out on him a few picks before us. this team is missing a dynamic RB. That can do it all and take it to the end zone on any given play.
  2. The problem with this argument is that none of those backs are on teams that are serious contenders and favorites to win the Super Bowl. You can argue that Zeke and the Cowboys are close, but that’s about it for that list. Nobody ever really believed Tennessee was with Tannehill at QB. Just like nobody ever believed the Colts were with Wentz. Those teams were only in the conversations throughout the year because of their incredible Running Backs. without Taylor the Colts would have been a 5 win team. The Titans somehow managed but I don’t think that was expected, and definitely don’t think it’s repeatable.
  3. You know I typed that all on my phone. I haven’t turned on a computer in about 10 years. Who even uses computers anymore??? The great thing about this draft is that it’s extremely deep at WR, IOL, and CB. Which bodes really well for is. You could get someone like Dotson, or possibly even Olave in the 1st round and then still get a really good, 1st day starter at CB or IOL in the 2nd or even 3rd round. or in my scenario, trade your 1st round pick for multiple 2nds or 2nds and 3rds and get as many bodies as you can at positions of need. I’m not 100% on Hall but he should be in the conversation as having an elite talent at the RB position and having someone there that can take it for 6 any time he touches the ball. 6’1”, 220lb RBs with 4.3 speed are just freakish and not normal in any way. He legit has the physical attributes to truly be one of the best in the league.
  4. I find it hilarious that people here want to argue that we shouldn’t take Hall and should take other RBs in the 3rd to 4th rounds like Spiller, White, Allgeier, Ford, Cook. They are all budget Hall. It’s like the difference between a Prime Aged Steak and a good Choice steak. Adding another one of those RBs into this offense might be ok, but none of them are going to be the stud that Hall will be. he is just as good and effective as Ettiene and we know we were interested in Ettiene. We’ve shown that we are looking at RB as we lost out on Mcissick. The other argument that goes with RBs that nobody ever wants to talk about is this. While I understand RBs are a dime a dozen in this league. Really good ones are not. Really good ones are Henry, Taylor, Peterson, Elliot, Kamara. They are all extremely good, or were in their primes. They all received or are going to receive huge 2nd contracts. The argument for drafting a really good RB and getting the most out of them before they hit FA on a huge deal is not much different than a stud QB or WR or DE on a rookie deal. The difference is you are paying your QB or WR or DE. You are a fool to pay a RB a huge deal. That’s where the “RB are a dime a dozen” talk comes from. Because teams don’t want to spend the money on a RB into their 2nd contact. Am I saying we should draft Hall in the first round? No, probably not. But if the opportunity to trade back into multiple 2nd or 2nd and 3rd picks arise. Or the opportunity to trade back into the middle of the 2nd round is possible. If he’s there you should take the shot. Hall is by far the best back in this draft. We can’t continue to trout out the slow, indecisive, budget RBs like Singletary or Hall, or some other 3rd round prospect and expect them to be Thurman Thomas. Even with the best line in football it’s not possible. fwiw, Ettienes contract looks really serviceable for someone that could be the best back in the league with his kinds of talents. Just like Taylor. Just like what Hall could be. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/jacksonville-jaguars/travis-etienne-72405/
  5. It’s not a position of need. And it’s a major worry coming off an Achilles injury. But this kid is elite. Just in a short 3min vid this kid had like 6 strip sacks. He’s a turnover machine. hes 100% in the conversation at 57. And honestly, it should be thought about if it’s at 25.
  6. Had to give up the first round pick in 2023 but managed to trade down some and pick up extra mid-late round picks for both 2022 and 2023. 27. Chris Olave, WR Ohio State 57. Kyler Gordon, CB Washington 64. Lecitus Smith, OG Virginia Tech 91. Jerome Ford, RB Cincinnati 98. Zyon McCollum, CB Sam Houston State 130. Jelani Woods, TE Virginia 168. Justin Shaffer, OG Georgia 185. Kalon Barnes, CB Baylor 203. Matt Araiza, P San Diego State 231. Velus Jones Jr., WR Tennessee 2023 TB 4th 2023 TEN 5th 2023 TB 5th
  7. Newest favorite I think. I didn’t get Hall like I wanted as he went to Miami at 29 right after I traded out of 25. but Ford is a nice consolation considering the other bodies I picked up. Really bolstered the OL in this draft. Picking up a few names I haven’t drafted before. I’ll have to look into them a little more. I especially liked the notes I saw on Wydermyer & Volson. And someone earlier posted a link for Kelley and thought he would be a good project for the PS and possible career backup. Traded the 25th to the Giants for 36,67,81. Then traded back unto the first, again with Seattle for 40,41 and gave up 81, and 1st, 2nd, and 4th round picks in 2023. The way I see it, every one of my next years picks will be super late picks anyway. And at this point I want young talented players that have a legit shot to be starters and game changers right away. I’ll trade the assets next year for the bodies this year. 36. Kaiir Elam, CB Florida 40. Kenyon Green, OG Texas A&M 41. Jahan Dotson, WR Penn State 57. Jalen Wydermyer, TE Texas A&M 67. Lecitus Smith, OG Virginia Tech 89. Jerome Ford, RB Cincinnati 130. Kyle Philips, WR UCLA 168. Tyreke Smith, EDGE Ohio State 185. Josh Jobe, CB Alabama 203. Cordell Volson, OT North Dakota State 231. Matt Araiza, P San Diego State 246. Cole Kelley, QB SE Louisiana yes losing the picks next year hurt, but I think you have 1st year starters with Elam, Green, Dotson, L. Smith, and Araiza. And role players at the very least with possible future starter status with Ford, Wydermyer, Phillips. And some project guys with high ceilings in T. Smith, Jobe, and Volson.
  8. Thanks. lol be done probably 200+ mocks in the last week or so and this has been my fave also. Although earlier today I had a really good one too. I don’t follow college ball really so I’m only going off highlights I’ve seen. And I’ve watched a lot of highlights too. Usually have someone I’ve got targeted that gets taken right before me so I watch a few more vids of who’s next. so far I’ve spent the most time on WR as I think that is possibly our biggest need.
  9. the Seahawks wanted to move up to take Pickett. I traded away 25 and next years 2nd and next years 5th for 40 and 41. then at 57 the Broncos wanted Raimann to help keep Wilson upright. I gave them 57 and next years 7th for 64, 115, and 232. I’d take this draft in a heartbeat 40. Jahan Dotson WR Penn State 41. Breece Hall RB Iowa State 64. Tariq Woolen CB UTSA 89. Darrian Beavers LB Cincinnati 115. Jelani Woods TE Virginia 130. Thayer Munford OG Ohio State 168. Obinna Eze OT TCU 185. Kyle Philips WR UCLA 203. Kalon Barnes CB Baylor 231. Jack Sanborn LB Wisconsin 232. Matt Araiza P San Diego State 246. Eyioma Uwazurike DT Iowa State
  10. Awe. Thank you all for the Bday love. Much appreciated. My day was actually made the day after when we signed Miller. Over the years, the days of, just before and just after my Bday has brought us Mario Williams, Stefon Diggs, and Von Miller. If anything you should all thank me for bringing good luck and joy to 3/14-3/16. That, and that time I took care of that problem for @Beerball in Columbia. it’s been a long time everyone. I still visit this site but don’t bother logging in or posting anymore. But I’m still as rabid, crazy and stubborn as ever. Hope everyone from the good old days is well. Go Bills 20-0 baby!!! This is gonna be the year.
  11. Was he as terrible then as he is now?
  12. Can we just close those thread or at least move it off the wall. It has nothing to do with football or the Bills.
  13. Congrats on your house. So proud of you. You’ve joined most of the the rest of society by moving out of your parents basement. Still doesn’t change the fact that I’ve said all along it was a good play, but very low reward for high risk. You are even confirming this by stating your “right window” and “aggressive” stats. Glad you made my point for me. Ill continue to say this. This play was a success but just as easily could have been a disaster. It’s really that simple. Great, he made the play. And week 1 he made a similar play where he gunned it into Beasley on a very tight window, and the ball bounced off him and ended up being a pick 6. I think you are all idiots if you don’t see that this play could have turned badly, very quickly. But I can’t help any of you anymore if you fail to realize this. Have a good life and get over it. We won the game and we’re on to the Pats.
  14. Don’t burn the roof of your mouth douche
  15. Yup. And like I said before, it could have been had the defender made a jump on the ball before it was thrown. But again, I’ll just concede to a bunch of idiots in a message board that live in their parents basement and flip burgers for a living You are such a winner
  16. Yeah. Was just gonna day this. The Dline should all have clocks in their heads this game for sure. They likely won’t get to Brady enough but if they all make mental notes to get their hands up at around the 2second mark, they’ve got a shot to disrupt him in other ways.
  17. I never said the ball was nearly intercepted. I said it was a very high risk for low reward play that the defender... IF... he jumped the route, could have intercepted it and ran it back for 6. It’s really that simple. But the same same people that want to argue with me on this want to argue that Knox hadn’t made his cut yet and wasn’t yet open. As if that actually matters. Quarterbacks throw to a spot all the time before a receiver makes their cut or is even looking for the ball. And if Allen throws it deep to Knox in a space where he SHOULD know where Knox will be, then it’s a huge gain. Not a small gain for 4 yards. Ironically, the same people that argue that since Allen barely got it into a tight window, how would he be able to get it deep to Knox, should know that a loftier pass over the top of Knox’s head would be an easier throw than the same one they argue for being such a good throw because it had such velocity on It. Oddly, if it there was such a worry that he barely was able to get the ball to Beasley, there should have been a worry that it could have been intercepted had the defender made a play on the ball. I really am done talking about this at this point. If people can’t see that it was a risky play for low reward, I really don’t feel like explaining my position anymore.
  18. Yeah you are. Many QBs make a living in finding the open guy down the field for a big gain vs a high risk throw with low reward. But just like the other guy, I think your clueless and have nothing more to say to you. Enjoy your night.
  19. You think just because these people have those jobs they can’t take off those weekends throughout the year? In fact it’s easier. Most of those careers have schedules that give the option to tale off multiple days but male them up other times. Or work it out so that someone works for you while your gone. None of them are your standard Monday through Friday 9-5 gig.
  20. Yeah, I’m pretty much done talking to you about this. I think you are clueless and I really have nothing more to say to you. Enjoy your night
  21. Yeah but not if another team signs him to their active roster. He’d have to be used for at least 3 games. But someone that might need a RB like the Giants might think about taking a shot at him.
  22. But he could if another team picks him up and signs them to their 53 man roster tho. The Bills should be worries about losing him imo.
  23. I just want to know if you’ll come here and apologize if Allen plays like dog crap. Im with you mostly, I feel like he’s a gamer and rises to the occasions. But he does try too hard sometimes and that’s when he has huge mistakes. I really think he’ll have a good game. And I really hope your right. If we’re going to have any shot, we’re gonna need it.
