I’m more sure it’ll completely dry up. Right now between the difference in seats being offered in the new stadium from now, and the waiting list is 7k. Which likely goes up next year even more. If I remember correctly, last season there was a wait list of 3k. So it appears people are trying to get in now for multiple reasons. Allen and the team is doing well. the wait list for the new stadium is going to be hell trying to get in for multiple years. My guess is next season you will see a waiting list of over 10k. They will definitely have to come up with something. I thought I heard options of one time pmnt. 1 year over time, 3 years over time, and 5 years over time. I can say this, even with interest, I’d opt for a 10 year or 15 year option of offered. Of course that depends on the price of the PSLs. Personally I think they are going to be much more than people expect. But will depend on section/seat options.

I did the math when this thing first stated. It came out to something like $78 extra a year per person for 30 years for the 1.5m or so in Western NY. I don’t know the exact numbers and what I researched at this point. Was so long ago. But I remember is was extremely cheap overall.

This was brought up. There’s a $850m fee to move the team within the first 15 years. Chump change really for multi-billionaires that are buying teams now. Like I said earlier. You’re not getting the Terry Pegulas and Tom Galisanos of the world buying sports franchises anymore. You’re getting The Waltons, Jeff Bezos’ of the world. They have no worries in the world losing out in $850m after spending some of their 40B+ to buy a new team. They would easily recoup that by working it into a deal with whatever city they moved to. Fully funded stadiums, etc. after 15 years is up the price drops every year. so don’t be so sure the Bills will be in your children’s lives in Buffalo NY as long as you think. Just saying. I feel like part of that is the fact that there technically isn’t a team in NY. Would be a huge failure I think. Idk. I’ve been saying this since before they actually started talking about the new stadium publicly. To the people that think things are going to continue are going to be in for a rude awakening. One of the reasons why I wanted a city stadium when everyone else just wanted it in OP because they couldn’t think of losing their precious tailgating. Well, time will tell, but I believe the tailgating as we know it, days are over and it wouldn’t have mattered anyway.

Yes I do believe the price increases as well as the wait list will weed out many of the drunken stupidness that currently happens in the lots now. im just stating what the Bills org, NFL, and town wants out of this. A complete cleanup of the area and what happens on game day. Not all of it will be gone. But I feel like a good amount will. But if your going to do that, you need more things for business patrons, and families will enjoy at the games. like was said, just tailgating in muddy lots isn’t going to cut it. Like what you said, stages set up with performers, music, etc.

Not to everyone. Again. That’s perfectly fine now. But in the future as tech becomes better. As your home TV is as clear as being there in person. And at the cost of not spending 600+ on pair of tickets. You need to find ways to keep people coming to the stadium. Just the game isn’t going to cut it anymore. It works now because you can get tickets for less than $100 a game. But in the future it’s not going to be the case. The plan can’t just be to build and new stadium and charge 2-3x as much and expect people to sell it out. We have a hard enough time selling out games now when the weather gets crumby. And we currently have a 7k person wait list for season tix.

That’s my point. There aren’t any options really on game day. Leading up to the game. Or after the game. Unless you want to tailgate. Which is fine. But it’s not for everyone. And for the price of tickets, I just feel like people want more. the RV lot a few days before the game is one thing but let’s be real. A few hundred people aren’t moving the needle. If they were, places like Big Tree, Danny’s, and Prohibition would be doing much better than they are. I’ve been to a lot of stadiums as well. And I’m not going to debate the downtown thing any further. Of course there would be much more to do there. But I’ve been to some cities/stadiums that are much more fun than going to a tailgate in some muddy lot in OP

I agree and it’s what is needed going forward imo. Like it was brought up in the thread before it can’t just be the game and tailgating. It’s got to be a whole day of experience. Drunks 20 somethings aren’t bringing anything to the table as far as what the Bills, the NFL, or the town/city/state is looking for. They want families spending weeks worth of savings to come to town on a road trip to games. Spending money on organization parking, drinks, food, and memorabilia to go with everyone in the family on their way out. Showing up a few hours before game time, chugging beers in the lot, puking in your bleacher end zone seat, and getting into an accident on the way home isn’t doing anything for the Bills, the NFL, or the town.

All things I’d like to see. And hope to see. I just fear we won’t. I really feel like it’s going to be more of the same

Was thinking something like this as well. Maybe not like something I’d expect out of Nashville. But something. Again, the liability wouldn’t be anymore than why it is already by offering booze in the stadium.

Think that’s a great idea. I’m just worried that none of that will change as far as outside the stadium options. personally I think they should remove the 300s and 200s from the current stadium now after all is said and done. Create an awning type roof over the field and create an indoor/outdoor zone right on the field of the old stadium. Blast some heat in there in the winter for a place for people to stay warm. Have multiple vendors inside maybe a few bar areas. In Baltimore where the tailgating is extremely limited they have multiple large tented areas that are like the “official colors light zone” where you could throw in TVs to watch other games, create bar spaces. And people would gladly spend money for that experience. Not everyone wants to jump through flaming tables in the parking lots. Some of us are adults now. I guess we will see. I just think it would have been commented by someone already at this point if they thought that was something they would do.

I think there’s likely a perfect middle ground for that. Doesn’t need to have areas or restaurants/bars all over the place. But something available. Currently in the stadium now the only real option for something like that is in the clubs. Other than that a few vending possibilities really don’t count imo. I guess it would be nice to see a bar or rest attached just for some people to be able to go ahead of game time that don’t have a desire to tailgate. And actually it would benefit the Bills as far as from a monetary standpoint as people would be spending money on their overpriced drinks and food instead of making and bringing their own at a tailgate. I’m not saying to would greatly affect tailgate options. But it would benefit the Bills. I would add that I doubt it would happen though. Of course it’s possible it could. I just feel like it would have been noted at some point by now by someone. Hell, someone found it in the contract about “transportation hub” which we have no idea what that could mean. I would think a comment about a bar or restaurant being available would have been documented and probably talked about by the Bills org leading up to this. My money would be on the doubt that it’ll happen. but like @SoCal Deek mentioned. Just let it play out and maybe we’ll all be pleasantly surprised.

I think the thought is similar to what @SoCal Deekjust mentioned. It’s pointless to even try and incorporate those things in a stadium in OP. It will have no impact other than 10-12 times a year. New bars and restaurants are all the sudden going to be popping up in OP because of the stadium. Vs the stadium being built in an area where a stadium doesn’t currently exist. This is likely the best possibility at this point. I just think that with the price point of the PSLs and Likely doubling or more of season tix sales, I think a big portion of what makes things special at the Ralph will be gone. Not going to completely get rid of it. But I think it will be phased out dramatically. fyi, just spoke with my seas tix rep 2 days ago. He said there’s currently a 7k person waiting list for season tix. Between that and the 10k less seats the new stadium will hold, there’s going to be a lot of pricing out. JMO. Not wrong. But again, it’s a message board for people to express their opinions about it.

I agree with some of this 100%. We’re at a point of watching the game can and is watched at home for much much cheaper and with the advancements in TV and broadcasting, you aren’t losing quality. Personally I get much more out of a game watching it on tv. Easier to follow. but at the stadium you don’t get the experience. The excitement. But with the cost of tickets nowadays, I feel that you really need to get every single possibility out of making the experience for as many as possible. Where I’ve always said, the days of chugging beers in the parking lots and flying through flaming tables is going to be over. Because of the cost involved you aren’t going to get young kids getting smashed before games anymore. You are going to get businesses, corporate dollars, and family getaways to away games and home games alike.

Well. That was my intent on commenting on the transportation hub. Personally I didn’t see it/read it when I glanced over the contract details. So when I saw it I was confused a little by it as well. Like you said, with green energy now, I’m positive that all plays into it. I’m sore there will be some bus stops in the area which I’m almost positive that no one attending Bills games will even utilize. It’s more for the area in general. Just my opinion. I have not been to Wembley so I have no idea of what process they use. But I’m sore it would likely be pointless in the suburbs of OP. Maybe something downtown would have benefited from that. But that’s more of my old whining arguments in regards to that.

There really hasn’t been anything new from almost any point of view in about 65+ pages of this thread. A few tidbits here and there about new developments and that’s about it. But to my point, I was simply commenting about the “transportation hub” that was brought up from the recent contract. And as @LabattBlue just commented. All that is, is going to be a NFTA bud stop. Nothing more, nothing less. I hope we’re wrong about that but I don’t see it. I was simply using the downtown stadium idea as an example of what it could mean. And I’m sure I’m wrong but I don’t think many people were talking about a transportation hub downtown at any point in this thread. Personally I thought it was a new twist on an old b#+{h in the subject. yes, I do believe you agree with much of what my opinion is on the matter. You and I have went back and forth throughout this thread going way back actually. Made sense from what I read quickly as I glanced at it. And really that’s a joke. Anyone buying teams now aren’t people that are sitting on many multiples of Billions. We’re not talking about Terry Pegulas going forward. We’re talking about Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk moving forward. Like 40B+ range people. $859M is a drop in the bucket to those kind of people. They’d easily make that up in any negotiations with whatever city they decide to move the team to.

I think you’re right on with that except I’d drop the 2024 conditionals by 1 rd each. So a 4th, 3rd, or 2nd.

Floyd is possibly the cheapest option there. And imo would be an upgrade. im not 100% on Ingram mostly because how much I believe he would cost. But if he could be had for a reasonable salary to be a rotational guy. Sure.
