Nyheim Hines gets it, better than the coaches, better than the GM.
mrags replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree. I believe 100% that there should absolutely zero (minus the 3rd and 1 sneak up the middle) designed Allen runs. Just let him play his hero ball and make something happen on his own. -

I’m right there with you 100%. Well, more like 99%. There’s always that 1% of me that worries every time he takes off. But I don’t care. I want to watch the most electrifying player in the game and 17 is it when he’s doing superhero things. I’ll just trust that he’s good and getting better at minimizing his hits when he takes off and be happy with that. -
Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
mrags replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
This thing will be 400+ by the time he’s on another team. -
Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)

Why isn’t this in the other DHop thread. Get it to 400 by tonight -
Wish one one hand and crap in another. Tell me which one happens first
-
Yeah. I think the majority of this thread so far has been that he looks fat and out of shape. So I’ll just continue to be on the end that thinks he’s going in the wrong direction. And until he proves it to be incorrect, and actually show up in shape and looks like he’s taking his physical fitness serious, I guess I’ll be right.

Ross Tucker ranks NFL Coach’s, places McDermott at #22.
mrags replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah I think it’s pretty comical he’s so low. He’s been coach of one of the best teams in football for the past 4 years. He definitely deserves to be higher. I’d still like put him top 10 honestly, but on the lower end of it. And I understand arguments either way with him. -

He’s still ranked too high. im kidding I’m kidding. Even that seems really low to me. But the argument made does have some legitimacy. -
It will be a guarantee to be on sat or sun. But no guarantee the time yet. But imo I’d change your plans. Could be a meaningless game with no playoff implications for either team. Could see Kyle Allen vs Mike White out there. If you plan on going to Miami anyway, and that’s the case, hold off on buying tickets until the week of the game and you may get them super cheap if it’s meaningless, however, you may pay 3x as much for tix because it means the 1 seed or something.

Whatever you believe and tell yourself I guess. I’ll just continue to watch him get fatter and fatter every year and worse and worse every year and won’t make excuses like “it’s only the start of OTAs”. Josh didn’t come in looking fat or out of shape. Knox didn’t come in looking fat and out of shape. The list could go on and on. I’ll just accept that he’s not bad at his job but he’s not particularly great either. He COULD improve but doesn’t seem like he’s taking the right steps in the off-season to ensure that happens. You know, like how guys like Josh workout all off-season to better himself. How guys like even Tua go to some kind of camp/program to better themselves in some way in the off-season. Dions version of that must be hitting up the McDonald’s drive thru. And that’s fine if youre just some guy on the team. But he walks around like he’s a leader on the team, and he should be trying to better himself. Me personally, I don’t see that happening from him. At best he’s been consistently OK. Which tells me even if he’s not regressing, he’s not progressing either.

The bolded part is what gets me. It’s not like this is a one time thing. He’s legitimately gotten worse every season as far as his weight goes. you’re right. Maybe he has never really been a worry. He isn’t a top 10 guy. Imo, he’s the 2nd best guy on our OL behind Morse (it’s close). But that to me says more about how weak our OL is/has been. my big concern is that he’s gotten worse year after year as far as his weight/shape coming in. And it seems it’s not getting any better. As people want to talk about how focused Josh is, and how a lot of other players are focused and poised to have breakout years, and here’s Dawkins coming to camp with hidden happy meals in his locker. You say it’s not a concern at all right now, and I say it’s nothing but a concern because it seems to be worse than last year which was worse the year before that. If it’s not a concern now after 3-4 years, when will it be a concern?

The dumbest rule in the NFL: New rule change
mrags replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott will still draft and keep at least 5 special teamers on n the roster even after the NFL does away with kickoffs altogether -
Nobody in this team most likely. Bud that doesn’t mean we should attempt to get a better LT.
-
“We” also overpaid for a guy at LT to be a top tier guy and it hasn’t really worked out. don’t get me wrong. I don’t think he’s terrible. I think he’s extremely over rated. Especially by fans. And I think if he’s your 3rd best OL you’re in alright shape. But if you are expecting him to be your best OL then you are in trouble. I just think he would do much better with someone decent next to him. Hopefully McGovern helps him this year.
-
I think he’s ALWAYS been over rated and should be a LG. If he were a LG I wouldn’t have much to say about him. I would actually consider him as a top 5 LG. But who knows. We will never find out.
-
Yeah. I don’t agree with this. But if that’s what you believe go ahead. Fixed it for you
-
He’s a tub of goo. And he’s gotten fatter each and every season. Imo worse and worse as well.

No but maybe Tecmo Bowl simulations is more your style. 8 bit Nintendo graphics. I’m giving you credit because I barely think your opinions are as good as pong on Atari
-
Maybe I can get you to eat more crayons. The color blue is all gone. But there’s plenty of yellow and green ones
-
You aren’t wrong on that. But they don’t care about the graphics of a few players faces etc. it’s not what kids want nowadays. They want Hess to head online play. They want lots of mechanic options. Madden/EA has announced they are hiring world class gamers to help fix the madden platform this year and if it doesn’t work you may not see it anymore. My guess is you’ll get yearly updates on roster changes but on older games/platforms.

I’d have to have that Chiefs game as his #1. Maybe not statistically. Maybe not result driven. But his game against the Chiefs in the divisional round was by far the best play we’ve likely seen out of any Buffalo player in its history and will likely never be beat. Shame on McD and Frazier for screwing us out of greatness.

Yeah the graphics are pretty amazing now. They’ve come a long way from Tecmo Bowl on Nintendo.
