Damn it. Just as I finally got over the fact we weren’t getting a dome, that pic came out and really got me jazzed up. And you have to ruin it for me again. -
Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
mrags replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
This right here x1,000,000,000,000 Could have had Hopkins for the price of Harty (a WR with the season bests = to McKenzie), Hines (a practically useless RB that will never see the field), and out 4th best DT that’s been extremely unimpressive. 🤦♂️ -

Yeah. I wasn’t assuming anything about where and how they were displacing the earth. I’ve known for weeks now they have been moving it around the ECC campus. It doesn’t appear they are “storing” it there though. They’ve created dirt roads that probably stretch over a mile long from the stadium. I don’t see piles of it anywhere except at the stadium site. I see them leveling the ground around ECC. Filling in low spots and fortifying mounds they already had established for what I imagine to be aquifers around the campus. -

Drove by the stadium yesterday and took some pics. The hole seems to be getting larger and deeper. They have some large hole diggers/augers on site now as well. something I noticed before but never took pictures of, is they are moving all the earth around the ECC campus. First time I witnessed the large trucks actually transporting it. Managed to take a pic while driving. Didn’t come out so great. they also have Ferguson Electric on site doing some work right out by the road at the front corner near Hammers lot. My guess is they were finding some underground lines along the street. new pics start at image 30. Enjoy. https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1slFkG1Tgt1z6Sr5_PsRrflmzreYclzkI?usp=sharing -
Congrats on the move.

I honestly don’t k ow what they said would be blocked off. I know they announced the camper lots would be done until the new stadium is built. eh on the 40%. It’s probably less than 30% of what the Bills lots COULD hold. Not the majority of that side of Abbott always seems dead to me on game day. There’s the campers there then a whole bunch of open space. The lots of Southwestern are easily their largest lots. Then there’s the few smaller lots on the side of the field house and across the street on Abbott behind the chiropractor I think is there’s as well. personally I don’t think it’ll effect too much as probably 30-50% or more of Bills fans park in private lots around the stadium. Those private lots aren’t changing. This may be effected. As the % of fans that DO park in the Abbott lot that is closed down will have to find somewhere else to park. It will clearly be a bit busier in the private lots. -

The fence surrounds the entirety of all the parking on the west side of Abbott. From all the way north near southwestern, right up to Hammers lot. -

For anyone looking for updated pics that @Draconator has posted. Here’s the latest ones from about a week ago. Massive hole in the ground now. They were driving huge earth movers in and out of the hole and you couldn’t see them once they were at the bottom. https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1slFkG1Tgt1z6Sr5_PsRrflmzreYclzkI?usp=sharing -
All of this first. im not even sure Thomas was the best back to ever play for the Bills. OJ and Shady say hello. also, these guys are pretty annoyed they get no love. Marshall Faulk Ladanian Tomlinson Earl Campbell Tony Dorset Marcus Allen Gale Sayers I’d also throw in Priest Holmes and Terrell Davis for the short time they played the game. They were both dominant when they were healthy.

I’m a treasure trove of fairly useless information.

Actually I think he has been before.

Why is Tyrod Taylor not more revered in the Bills fan base?

Little Help - Getting to airport after the game
mrags replied to berndog's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is extremely confusing. If your are parked at Bert’s and make a right on Southwestern, you can only turn left on Big Tree. It’s literally across the street and ends at Southwestern. I think you meant to say turn right on McKinley. But then you’re not making 2 rights either. regardless, that wouldn’t be a bad way to go. But you are likely hitting more traffic on 5 than expected. Not to mention it’s out of the way and you are backtracking all the way back to the airport. Also, it’s a fairly long walk to Bert’s from the stadium. 9/10 of a mile. Which isn’t that far, but considering the time it take everyone else to walk from the stadium there may already be traffic on southwestern and surely there is traffic in McKinley and Milestrip by the time you get to your car and attempt to get out of there. If you are going to backtrack that much, it’s probably better to park south of Big Tree on or around Abbott. Because Abbott is closed going north, you can take it south. Take a few turns through neighborhoods and end up at the 219 near Chestnut Ridge. Even there I wouldn’t get on the 219. You’re still going to hit traffic once you head back towards the stadium. Your best bet is to go backroads until you make it to Southwestern and Transit. @berndog there’s plenty of different ways to go. Everyone has their own process and everyone thinks their way is the best. And maybe it is for them. Fwiw I wouldn’t wait around until 6ish and then try and get to the airport in time. First off, not everyone has or can get TSA pre check. I do, but it’s not guaranteed everyone will get it. It’s also an added cost and effort/time to get it. You also run the risk of it happening to be a busy travel day at the airport. Maybe it works 99% of the time for someone, that doesn’t mean there isn’t any problems on that day for you that slow things down. You also run the risk of traffic issues like accidents or dwi checks along your route that could slow your drive dramatically. I don’t think it needs to be a rush and don’t think you need to leave the game early by any means. I’m simply saying if you’re parking south of the stadium unless you know the exact routes to take, you may be rushing to get there. Don’t expect to park on Abbott like at Hammers lot and expect to be at the airport on time. good luck with everything -
Most people probably wish they could have a Hawaii plate so I guess you’ll just have to live with that.

New stadium official groundbreaking - Monday morning (6/5/2023)
mrags replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks again @Draconator The ditch I was talking about is clearly visible in image 12. And if you zoom in closely to the silver suv just to the right of center, just beyond the suv you can see the top of the tractor or caterpillar or whatever it is in the ditch. You can barely see the top of it. -

When I drove by over a week ago there was a large semi circle ditch/trench. A fairly large tractor was in it and barely reached the top. Utility lines, storm drains, retaining wall all seemed possible. Eventually I’ll get over there with a drone to see everything. But the pics is all I have for now. @Draconator got the pics and posted them in one of the threads if I remember. -

I think they said not for about a year from now. Like expect next spring to be when they actually get steel in the ground. Think they said a smaller access building needed to be built first. For storage and for an operations center of some sorts.
