  3. All good. I was really just looking out. Didn’t want you to make the mistake of posting an old tweet. Once I saw the pic I could tell it wasn’t today in Rochester. Honestly thought maybe the original tweeter screwed up. Or was attempting to fool someone.
  4. Well. Apparently I caught your mistake before you did and deleted it and was wondering why.
  5. Why post a tweet from January 5th when white is in full winter gear and no leaves are on the trees behind them? Right
  6. I fat fingered 130%. it wasn’t the 2nd year tag I was thinking about. It’s the 3rd tag. Which would be 144% of the previous year. Which would equate to over 19m. either way, the Giants aren’t going to tag him again next year most likely at 13.2m. Or who knows, maybe they will considering they already offered him 13m a year for the next 2 years and he turned it down.
  7. I think that 130% isn’t based off the current deal. It’s 120% of the 3 highest paid at that position. So CMC, Henry, and then Barkley (he’s still currently 3rd highest) averaged out, then add 20%. Or something like that. It’s a high number. It’s not 12m
  8. His franchise tag was retained from what Sal C just reported. Meaning next years franchise tag hit would be outrageous.
  9. Didn’t read the articles I posted huh. I mean, if he stays healthy and plays in every game it is exactly 2 years 26m reading is hard False. There is not a no tag clause in this new contract. Already reported they can tag him again next year
  10. And when the giants tag him again? Don’t fool yourself. You know damn well they aren’t.
  11. Actually the 11m is with incentives. He retained his 10.1m in guarantees from the franchise tag and there’s another 1m in incentives. Just reported per wgr
  12. So neither of us are sure at all considering Barkley and the agents and the team are the only ones that are privy to the situation, then I guess we can both just stop. Or we can both keep posting since it’s an internet message board after all. If I can’t call him an idiot for turning down 26m over 2 years I can call him an idiot for not accepting the 12.5m back in November in an offer that was confirmed, and now he’s only making 11m. So he’s dumb for throwing out 1m. Oh, and still negotiating a contract with a no franchise tag clause after this season. Imo, he’s hoping he’ll get tagged again because nobody is going to pay him 13m a year next season no matter how well he plays this year.
  13. If that’s the case and he was never offered that, then he’s not a stupid idiot. I’ll believe what I heard from all over for weeks. That’s what was initially reported. Until there’s proof otherwise, that’s all anyone knows. in this article is also points out that the Giants officially offered him $12.5m last year and he turned it down. So what’s more likely now? That he was offered a little more than what he was officially offered? Or Barkley saying the offer wasn’t that high? https://nypost.com/2023/07/13/giants-19-5-million-guaranteed-offer-not-enough-for-saquon-barkley/amp/ “At the bye week in early November last season, Barkley turned down an offer averaging $12.5 million per year. That annual average was bumped up to $13 million in an offer after the season. Barkley also turned down that increased offer, as his representation at the time might have misjudged where the market for running backs was headed.” and then there’s this article https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/ny-saquon-barkley-what-to-know-20230721-2jn6c7542rfv7jpsgs5g4nlhqy-story.html “In any event, the Giants started with an offer between $12-12.5 million a year with unknown guarantees at last November’s bye week. They inched closer to Barkley’s ask in the spring, and they seemingly settled into the neighborhood of their original offer this month, perhaps with slightly higher guarantees.” this article pretty much says that Barkley wasn’t arguing the money on paper just that the roster bonuses for game day appearances were inflating those numbers. And honestly, regarding a player that has missed 21 games over 5 years due to injury, I don’t blame the Giants for having those terms included. “Barkley and his camp intimated in June that mechanisms like per-game roster bonuses were helping to artificially inflate any of the offer’s true, full guarantees.”
  14. Pretty sure it was reported before they stuck him with the franchise tag. If I’m wrong I have no idea of what I was thinking. But pretty sure weeks ago there was a 2 year 26m contract offered. Nobody is gonna give him 13m a year. Not even if he’s the MVP. Had no idea Barkley said that never happened. I did hear from multiple sources in the media what the offer was. They talked about it for days on the radio.
  15. Wasnt he initially offered 2 years, 26m? He’ll never get 13+ next year. Can’t fix stupid.
  16. I’ve heard of hi…… oh wait. Never heard of him. Doesn’t matter. Don’t care. He’s a camp body and won’t even make the practice team.
  17. Doesn’t matter. McD isn’t going anywhere. His scapegoat will be he had too much on his plate and needs to hire someone next season to allow him to be more available to the rest of the team.
  18. Good thing we payed him on an extension and didn’t save some of that money for………
  19. Well. I guess you can say he was a terrible delegator then. Because if I was a well respected defensive minded coach and my DC continually screwed up play calling and I didn’t fire him, the failure would be on me would it not? End of the day he held on to Frazier way too long if Frazier was the problem. All fingers point to McDermott being perfectly fine with what Frazier was doing. Screwed up a huge lead in the Texans game. walked all over against the Chiefs in the first playoff loss to them. .13 seconds. Than this debacle against the Bengals. End of the day it’s McDermotts team.
  20. Really hope your right. For all Bills fans. If your wrong we’ll finish the season just like the last few and be extremely disappointed .
  21. However, 7 of the last 10 Super Bowl winning teams had higher ranking defenses than the losing opponents. so you may be right that offense is key to winning championships, but 7 of the last 10 times the team with the better defense won the game. It’s an unarguable fact and it’s pretty eye opening. If you go back farther you’ll see it’s not much different over history. Regardless of offense, of the 2 teams in the game, the team with the better defense wins a majority of the time.
  22. Really hope you’re right. But it’s hard to argue the fact that Frazier was the DC for years. Even after the .13 debacle they stuck with him. There’s more proof out there that McDermott was not only accepting of it, that it’s his in the first place. We’ve all been over this before though and it won’t go anywhere except multiple people arguing with each other. Fear not, just about every thread right now will be shelved in just 2 days as camp starts.
  23. No, it’s real. Should tell everyone what some of us have been saying for a long time. Dude is too small. That’s a normal sized helmet, he’s just a too small to make it look normal. and in other news, I’d you think he’s too small, way til you see Harty in his helmet. Harty is shorter and weighs less.
