  1. I didn’t. And don’t need to. Regardless if he was actually “adopted” or not. Who cares. Was he brought into their home? Was he given a roof over his head? Did he have a parental figure helping him and assisting him unlike his actual mother? Would he be a retired NFL player if not for that family? nobody is owed anything in this world. He of all people should know that. So what the family profited from the story. So did he. He became an NFL star. Earned millions.
  2. I already said he has a gripe about it and I completely understand. I also understand that he would likely be dead if it wasn’t for the family that helped him become a man.
  3. HAHA. Hilarious you said that. I’m currently at the Cracker Barrel right next door as we speak. Yeah, it’s a pretty good area with a lot of restaurants around. Mostly chains though. But there is some local stuff around that you can enjoy. russels teds anchor bar bar bill in main st picassos is a solid pizza spot Salvatore’s is close by they were planning on building a huge brewery right across the street where a hotel used to stand. But I think Covid ruined those plans.
  4. I guess it depends on how many millions I already made from the career that I had because a family took me in helped me become successful
  5. I mean, Oher received a home with a roof over his head. Not inside a slum with a crackhead mother and no father. He was guided into having an NFL career and made millions from it. im not saying he doesn’t have a gripe. Just seems kind of petty to complain about it now. The guy had a successful career in the NFL and made millions thanks to that family. Without them it doesn’t happen. He probably blew all his money and has no other options at this point.
  6. Also a great idea. Main St in Williamsville is a great spot. Lots of local bars/restaurants and home to the best Ice Cream you’ll ever find at Sweet Jennys just off Main st. Not a ton of shopping imo tho. Lots of specialty shops.
  7. I think the East Aurora idea is absolutely great. A few nice restaurants/bars around the area. Bar Bill is a must. 189 Burger is really good as well. Wide variety of drink options and if I remember they have a great selection of Bourbon. The Polked Yolk isn’t the best breakfast I’ve ever had but it’s defiantly a solid option. As others mentioned, there’s plenty of other spots as well. Good amount of shopping along the strip as well. my one question was where in Williamsville did you stay? If it was the Marriot on Millersport highway or one of the other hotels here there. It’s a nice spot but not anything in walking distance really. It’s a few minute drive to the Niagara Falls Blvd and Maple area where there is a bunch of options. But nothing amazing really. Mostly chain restaurants. however if you stayed at Russels or near there on Transit Rd there really is a bunch along that way that would work. There’s chain restaurants, some local places. Shopping nearby. Between just north of Main St and Transit and the 90 is almost anything you would want. Could eat at Russels for one of the better steaks you’ll find in the city, one of the Anchor Bars is just in the other side of the 90. Lots of chain options in the area. The Buffalo Store is in walking distance. It’s nothing special of an area, just around to cover you for food with everything from Burger King to one of the best steaks in the city. Everything in between with some shopping within walking distance.
  8. This is 100% what I’m talking about. You can’t be more on top of the action (more verticle) and not be farther from the field. It’s pretty simple. will it be as tall and bad as So-Fi from what I’ve seen or read, or The SuperDome from what I’ve experienced? Idk. We will find out
  9. 200s are a bit above ground level. They are higher than ground level and that’s with the upwards slant of the Outter concourse from the gates to the actual 200 level. yes, all of the 100s is underground. Never disputed that. What I’m saying and have been trying to say is that the new stadium will be dug into the ground a bit as well. Not as much as the current stadium. But it will be. The massive hole in the ground across the street confirms that. And they are still digging. what I’ve been saying is that it’s going to be taller regardless. And the upper decks will be for sure farther away from the field than the current 300s.
  10. Ever have a double baked brownie?
  11. Fwiw I never said they wouldn’t be sold out. I said the seats would make you feel nauseous and be farther away from the field if anything like what I’ve experienced. but hey, I’ve been 14 rows from the field in the current stadium for years now. So it’s obvious I’m biased against the upper decks.
  12. Yeah I’m not really sure you do understand. It’s ok. You’ll see eventually. The upper deck will 100% be farther away from the field than the current stadium. have a good day
  13. I really don’t understand what you are getting at here. I think I’ve explained it enough. But I will again. The top of the new stadium will be as tall as the Ralph is with the lights on top of it. I don’t know how tall that is exactly. But next time you go to the stadium, look at the top of the lights and that will be how tall the new stadium will be. They’ve already stated the dimensions of the stadium and referenced the top of the lights on the current stadium as a reference.
  14. They’ve also talked about how the stadium will be significantly taller than the current stadium. Stating that the top of the stadium will be as tall as the lights are on the Ralph. and stacked seating to me sounds exactly like what I explained. More Vertical than it currently is. I’ve explained before that I believe the 100s will be similar to what the stadium is now and the 500s will be similar to what the 300s are. The 200, 300, and 400 levels will be stacked on top of each other. The fact is the stadium will be taller than the current stadium. The 500 level is going to feel like you are very far away from the action. You’ll have great views of everything. You’ll just be far away. And that’s part of my explanation of the SuperDome. Fact is you can’t have a taller stadium, and less seats and be more vertical. And before you or anyone else wants to add in that the Ralph is currently xx feet into the ground. The hole in the ground on the other side of Abbott Rd. tells me they aren’t going to be far off from that number.
  15. 4 locks imo: Diggs Davis Harty Sherfield Fighting for the last 2, maybe even 3 spots: Shakir Isabella Shorter Patmon Atemon imo I think Shakir will make the team just because they will feel like fools if they cut him or send him to the PS. I know you can’t think that way, but I think he makes it based off that. Who the last guy or 2 will be is up in the air. Could likely store Patmon, Atemon, and Shorter on the PS. I think Isabella is the best bet. Unless someone really breaks out the next 2 preseason games.
  16. I haven’t been to the new stadium in LA or Dallas but everything I’ve heard and pictures that I’ve seen is that they are the same way. Feels like your a mile from the action. fyi I’m not distressing myself over anything. I’m simply expressing my opinion of what I expect the new stadium will be like. I’ll likely have my choice of the first 10k tickets in the place based on my seniority if I choose, so I really don’t care. it’s kinda funny. I haven’t really complained about the new stadium in quite a while. Actually been more excited about it after the recent vid they showed us and some of the updated renderings and explanations that updates were made like making the roof larger than initial renderings. Here I am having normal conversations about things with people and giving my opinion on what I think we can and should all expect and someone not even in the conversation comes in and craps all over them. Glad to see some of us live rent free in some peoples heads no matter what.
  17. Not for nothing. He looked like a pretty good slot guy today
  18. This. Isabella is exactly everything they were looking for last year. Quick. Speedy. Run after the catch. So far he’s looked pretty good. Shakir on the other hand has not looked good. And has dropped quite a few balls between the game today, and the 3 practices I’ve been to this off-season.
  19. I never said there would be terrible views. I said the upper decks are going to make you feel like you’re in the clouds. And you are going to be a significant distance away from the field. I was recently in New Orleans stadium and had constant nausea being in the upper decks. The fear of missing one step and tumbling a mile down was definitely there. And the fear when standing up that you may get bumped forward and fall until you reach the field was there. I’m not saying the new stadium definitely will feel that way, but imo I feel it will be similar in the upper decks. We’ll see I guess.
  20. The 300s are and have always been more expensive than the end zone seats. The only 300s that are cheaper are in the upper corners. They are more expensive because sideline seats are much more desirable. this may be true in the new stadium as well, however some people need to realize how absolutely far from the field you are going to be in the 500s of the new stadium. Unless your maybe in the first few rows. The 500s are going to feel like the old Auds Orange seats. They’ve already said that the new stadium upper decks will be as high as the Ralph’s lights. To answer the question, it appears in the sketches that the canopy will not cover any of the lower bowl seats. I do think there will be some cover however from the overhangs of the 200 level. As well as some seats set back a bit and covered by other overhangs. Based on renditions it looks like 5-10 rows maybe in the back end will be covered and heated.
  21. Yes it is true. At least originally. At one point they came out and amended it and said they had to add money for changes. One of the changes was making the roof larger. nobody knows how much larger. and this was them claiming something like 62% of the seats would be covered. As you can see this isn’t true based on the pics. Imo it’s smoke and mirrors to make it sound like more seats are covered. Or at least the original prints show that. I’d guess something like 90%+ of the clubs and suites (levels 200, 300, 400) are covered. 70-80%+ of the 500 level seats. And then something like 30% of the lower bowl. Add it all up and average all the % not the actual seats. of course I have no proof or confirmation of any of this. Simply looking at multiple sketches and prints of the plans for the stadium and the % of seats they claimed at first didn’t match up to the eye test. But that’s just my inexperienced opinion.
  22. Well, if you’re talking hotel space within an hour does that mean we get to add in Rochester as well? If that’s the case idk. I mean Minneapolis just hosted less than 5 years ago. It wasn’t like they hosted in the 90s
  23. Well of course they won’t make it work. But yes, they could if they wanted.
  24. Oooooo. Cruise ships in Lake Erie. Great idea
