People don’t want to hear it. The people love the Shnoman. Some reasonable posters think he should be Shnowhere near this team.

Well that was an absolute crap fest - PostGame thread

People are enamored with him and his personality. Maybe if he spent as much time worrying about his play and physical attributes he wouldn’t be that bad. I said it in one of the posts earlier during mini camp after seeing a pic of him. People jumped down my throat because it was “just mini camp”. Well, now it’s almost the regular season and he’s still as fat and doughy as he was then. Which is fatter and doughier than last year. Which was fatter and doughier than the year before that, etc, etc. -

I’ve said it for years. Dawkins is a fat, sloppy, slob. Not in a good way. You look at good OTs in the league and that are mountains. Huge and muscular and stout. Dawkins is like an overfilled water balloon about to burst. He’s just not good. It’s a real problem and one of these days people will realize it. -
This. If anything he’d be a vet that could step into either T spot. Would help out the young kids. And you would get him for the price you saved by Shell retiring.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
mrags replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah people either don’t get it or they are too enamored with the thought of getting smashed in the parking lot and walking into the stadium 8 minutes before kickoff. The people that are going to have the funds to fork over the PSL and increased ticket prices likely aren’t part of this crowd and like you said, want comfort. I’m in this boat, I’m not rich by any means but if I’m going to spend the amount of money I expect them to charge in the new stadium, I don’t want to do it freezing my @$$ off 4-5 times a year or more with playoffs. The gung-ho “Bills Mafia” crowd that has a reputation for being super rowdy and crazy simply won’t be as crazy as it currently is once the new stadium is built. Sure there will be some of it. But I’d imagine that number is probably cut by at least 25%. This is what they want imo. It looks terrible on a local and national level how idiotic we look on a weekly basis. The rest of the league looks at us like Neanderthals. In all, a lot of the people that wanted open air to continue the craziness will be priced out anyway. So glad they paid attention to people that likely won’t even be attending the games. It was mostly RV, Busses, and tailgate city or whatever they called it. Not a lot of people parked in that lot besides the RV and Busses. Imo your really not losing a lot of spaces that were actually taken every week. -
“Oher was named Division II (2A) Lineman of the Year in 2003, and First-team Tennessee All-State.[3][5] Scout.comrated Oher a five-star recruit and the No. 5 offensive lineman prospect in the country.[6]Before that season and for his prior 20 months at Briarcrest, Oher had been living with several foster families. In 2004, Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, a couple with a daughter and son attending Briarcrest, allowed Oher to live with them and adopted him, although Oher would later allege in 2023 that they instead tricked him into signing a document making them conservators.[2] The family began tending to his needs after becoming familiar with his difficult childhood. They also hired a tutor for him, who worked with him for 20 hours per week.[3]” “Oher's initial low grades were a barrier to his acceptance to an NCAA program. He raised his 0.76 grade point average (GPA) to a 2.52 GPA by the end of his senior year so he could attend a Division I school, by enrolling in some 10-day online courses from Brigham Young University. Taking and passing the online courses allowed him to replace Ds and Fs earned in earlier school classes, such as English, with As earned via the Internet.[8] This finally raised his graduating GPA above the required minimum.[3]” again for the like 20th time now. I said he had a gripe. But it’s kinda petty. The kid was homeless. I’m and out of foster homes. In and out of living with school friends. His grades wouldn’t have allowed him to do just about anything. the family accepted him into their family. They put a roof over his head. Gave him food and shelter. Provided guidance and help to get him where he is today. So yeah, even though he does have merit to what he’s saying, he absolutely should be grateful that he was given the opportunities he was because I’d that family. Without them he would not be what he is today.

Honesty between that and the fact that we play then first. Tells me their run game won’t be on point yet. Cook on a new team. Hasn’t been practicing all summer. We’ll be fine

So Aaron Rodgers will pass less. Lol. Ok. Have at it.

That’s exactly what many are suggesting. No father. Another living in squalor who was addicted to crack. A child that was homeless and apparently not succeeding in school. Yeah. That’s exactly what I’m saying. Facts are the deck is stacked against him. Is it possible for him to become what he did? Sure. Is it possible for him to become president of the United States, sure. However it’s more likely he ends up dead or in prison or living the gang life. I don’t know the statistical numbers to back this up. But I know from experience in people living this way, this life. I see it every single day. Some people just don’t get it

Likely his agent and other people in his ears trying to throw their thoughts into the whole thing. Confusing Oher and driving a wedge between him and the family. True. But you do know for a fact that the family took him in off the street and gave him food, shelter, a mother and father figure that weren’t dead or drug addicts, and guidance.

Maybe he’s just one of those people that doesn’t believe that the world is all sunshine and rainbows. Have to say it again. Nobody in this world is owed anything. Oher of all people should know that. He was homeless with a crackhead for a mother and no father. Regardless if those people legally adopted him or not. They brought him into their home. Gave him food. Shelter. Guided him in school. Made sure he was provided with the proper education that drove him to be a man. If you want to knock anything, it was maybe manipulative to sway him and his decision to pick which college he attended. Among other things. But let’s not fool ourselves, he’s what he is today because that family helped him and guided him along a successful path. If you don’t believe that idk what else to say. There’s no swaying your opinion I guess. Have a nice day.

Preseason Week 2 - Bills Vs. Steelers, what do you hope to see?
mrags replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m with you on this. If there’s only 2 LBs in the field is there really a “Middle LB”? I mean he’s in terms of the time that’s played. But I believe you are correct. They are possibly the best 2 LB on the team physically. Time will tell I guess. But why can’t we just give one of the safeties the dot and let both of these guys be LB. No distinction between either of them. Just get out there and do whatever needs to be done on any given play. It creates a mismatch imo really. Could have 2 guys that could be interchangeable between either spot. Make the offense figure out who’s doing what.
