  1. Stupid topic but looking for some help. I live in California, but my daughter goes to college in Rochester (Fisher). We're getting tired of paying Verizon's crazy monthly amount for 4 lines. T-Mobile has stepped up their game in a difficult coverage NorCal region (leasing towers from other carriers). Since we'll carry her thru college, I'm looking for input regarding T-Mobile in the area. I planned on having her try the 7-Day free trial T-Mobile offers, but there is a 2 mos wait to get a phone. I've only seen a few recent comments doing a net search...and it seems sketchy (but I read those same responses here in NorCal until I did the free trial and found out it was no better/worse than Verizon). Don't want her to be w/o decent phone coverage so far from home. Any help would a appreciated... Thanks
  2. For the most part I agree. The team I root for is the Bills. I'll pay a passing interest when he plays the local 49ers...and hopes he helps beat them. I thought I'd pay an interest in Stevie once he joined the 49ers, but there was nothing. I expect my interest in Fred to be about the same,.,Meh. Thanks for the memories, but if you're not a Bill (and you're not on my fantasy team)...not a big interest.
  3. Ok, here was my question. If he has options on who he can sign with and a few of those options are playoff contenders, and one of those teams is the Pats...and he signs w/ them. What's that say? I'd be torn on how I view him. I know loyalty to a team only goes so far....but still. NE is hated and he knows that. It will be interesting to see where he lands. He will be given a shot somewhere.
  4. Have that same sticker. It's a sticker. Picked it up going thru BUF last year. May have been cheaper at the airport than NFL.com. Been on my truck for about a year now. No issues.
  5. During the season, he lived in my cousins neighborhood. During a visit from California (I think it was the season where he lead the Bills in rushing / '79), they were going to knock on his door so I could get an autograph (or whatever they had planned). Me, being a shy kid of 11, didn't want to go up. So it didn't happen, thus a big regret. He always a favorite of mine. RIP Curtis Brown.
  6. Who let the Giants fan in? I thought it was interesting there were a few of us Bills / A's fans here.
  7. I'll jump in on this too ... 1a) Buffalo Bills 1b) Oakland A's 1c) St John Fisher College Women's Volleyball (shameless plug for daughters team...should be 1a, but will change when she's out of college) 3) Golden State Warriors 4) Buffalo Sabres 5) UCLA Football / Basketball
  8. Yes, the real problem is Fred. We all love Fred, but he's getting old. He's going to have to go at some point. I really like Bryce and believe he'd be a good back up to McCoy (like back in Philly). Boobie has his ST skills, but his relationship w/ Roman may be the key. I really like Boobie too. He stepped it up last year and I think we all started to see why all the SF fans were sad to see him go. We know what Williams did in college, but that was college. If he shows potential...then it's a real issue. I'd hate to do it, but Fred may be the one to go. Sorry Fred, but it's a young man's game. Not a popular opinion, but it'll have to happen at some point. Yes, maybe we can find a trade partner for one of these guys that isn't name McCoy.
  9. 49ers and Raiders....Can't stand either, nor can I stand their fans.
  10. Yep! Warriors: "The City" alternate jersey as well.
  11. I'm jumping on the last question. When and where are tickets available? My daughter goes to Fisher and I have to drop her off early for a team sport. My luck, Bills will be at Fisher this year when we drop her off (unlike last year when they went to Pittsburgh for a few days). My father is tagging along on our cross country journey so he can watch the Bills practice a couple times. Need to ensure I make the most of this opportunity. Thanks for any advice...
  12. Don't feel like reading all 20 pages, but why not kick the tires for a basic contract. He missed all last season, and half of the 2013 season. Being out of the game that long may prove to be detrimental to his career and he's gone during training camp. If he still has something in the tank and can bring something to the OL then it's a bonus. I know he was here for a minute in '09. Any problems during that time?
  13. Here is my question. Is Brandon the tie that keeps the Bills @ St John Fisher? If he leaves and the Fisher contract is up in 2016 (from what I've seen posted), Does that mean training camp will eventually move elsewhere? I sure hope not.. "Pegula on training camp: I've never been to St. John Fisher. Russ Brandon: "It's a good spot". Pegula: "Then it's a done deal!""
  14. Thanks for the info. Pulled in to my driveway minutes before the interview was to start. Didn't feel like sitting there awkwardly during the duration.
  15. I think they were talking about Ricky
  16. Miami has a brutal stretch too. Six of their next seven will be a big challenge for them: vs San Diego, @ Detroit, vs Buffalo, @ Denver, @ Jets, vs Baltimore, @ New England
  17. Dec is a heck of a month though. I can't see us winning in Denver and now matter what NE is playing for in the final week, I can't imagine that'll go well. That leaves beating GB in our only home game of the month. Ok, possible. What scares me is flying to Oakland and playing on the West Coast. Even more scarier, Oakland may not have a win going into that game. Bills better take care of business in Nov.
  18. After college, my wife and I managed to both get jobs back in our hometown. My wife's grandmother had several houses she owned and rented. Lucky enough, one just opened up for us. The first night in the house, I went to bed before my wife. I had to get up early for work. As soon as I hit the bed, I heard what sounded like a rocking chair creaking in the corner of the room (there was no rocking chair in the room). When it'd stopped, I heard the sound of something tapping on the window. Okay, I at least figured the tapping on the window as a tree outside the room. I could not figure out the rocking chair sound (nor was it ever figured out). The next day, I went out back to look for the tree outside the window. Nothing. This continued throughout out stay at the house. Rocking chair rocking, followed by tapping on the window. Almost each and every night. There was one room, we used as storage and an office that I never quite felt comfortable in. It's hard to explain, but I always felt someone was there with me. At one point, my wife saw a child in our backyard playing. The child vanished in the blink of an eye. We only spent a few months in the house, as we were able to buy our own place. Soon after we moved out, my Father in Law approached my wife and I. He asked us, while living in the house, if we experienced any weird things happen. We knew what he was getting at, so we told him our experiences. He went on to tell us, the new tenant told him she thought the house was haunted. Whenever she'd close the master bedroom door (the room we experienced the rocking and tapping), the doorknob would turn on its own...as if someone was trying to get in. Inside the room, she also had an antique pedal powered sewing machine. She told my FIL that on a regular basis, the machine would start moving on its own. There were a few more instances, but those were the big ones that stuck into memory. Grandma and my FIL have long since passed. The house is still owned by the family and I am often curious if the "ghost" still remains. Unfortunately, we recently did a top to bottom remodel, but I was never able to get to the house while it was vacant and under construction. One day I'll get back in and check it out.
  19. Thanks for the great info
  20. Thanks everyone. There are a 2k+ seats on Stubhub and a couple other sites. I did see some seats close up in the corners, but I don't think I want the limited view. So I'm debating my options. Bonus for sitting up, get the see the entire ice. Negative, you're away from the action. I think we've nixed the Bills game ( ), so I may be able to get better seats for the Sabres. Also wavering on buying now vs later...as it was mentioned, depending on they start the season prices could go down. But it is Nov 26, the eve before Thanksgiving. People may be back in town, wanting to catch a game (like me).
  21. Planning on visiting my daughter, who is in college, for her Thanksgiving break. We've got a free night, so planning on catching a Sabres game. First time seeing the Sabres, so not sure about First Niagara. Are there any bad seats in the house? Also planning on catching the Bills / Browns game...so don't want to break the bank to see the Sabres. How high up are the 300's? Don't want to see ants, but I don't believe that'll be the case. Just curious though. Any help? Thanks!
  22. Raiders & 49ers. Somehow the schedule is worked out where one is the early game; 10am and one is the 1pm game, unless one is on a primetime game. Pretty much kills being able to watch any outside teams (unless there is a primetime game for one of the teams).
  23. I need to get there one of these days. My menu? Wake up and have coffee, watch game. After game, go to my brothers for a family party. Luckily game will be over because his new wife doesn't allow him to watch football.
  24. In Raider / 49er territory ... could care less for either team. I have grown to have a strong dislike for the 49ers. I think I enjoy it a bit too much when either team loses.
